Description

Specialties

The Workshop at Made is a collective for creative entrepreneurs.

A hybrid, flexible space for creatives: part retail, part coworking space, part class and event space.

History

Established in 2014.

Christine Sharp-Crowe launched her fine art business, weather&noise, back in 2004. After traveling the country showing her wares, she saw a need in Tulsa for a way to plug Tulsa into the indie handmade scene, so in 2007, she started Indie Emporium. After a couple of years, she filled the need in town for handmade boutiques by opening two shops, Made: The Indie Emporium Shop. Her ultimate goal has always been to create a home for the handmade and artist scene in Tulsa where they could create, learn and work, so when the opportunity came to open The Workshop, she and her husband, Thom, jumped at it. Since Thom worked remotely, adding coworking just made sense.

Business Owner

Christine Sharp-Crowe is a printmaker and artist who founded weather&noise, Indie Emporium, Made: The Indie Emporium Shop and the Workshop Tulsa and holds a BFA in Interior Design and Architecture.

Christine is usually playing shopgirl at made, working in her studio at home, or dreaming up space designs and events. The rest of her time is spent reading design blogs, obsessively browsing textiles online, baking, discovering new artists on etsy, traveling to indie craft events, hanging out with her pups Tucker & Buddy and her dashing husband Thom, or spending time with her crafty friends. It’s a sweet DIY kind of life she leads.
