I stopped in to grab a brunch and had the chicken and waffles. The food was amazing but what made it 5 stars was the service. The chef felt like he had to apologize for a 15 minute wait. That and the assistant chef was amazingly friendly made this a great place for a sit down.

Just told Siri I was hungry and this place was on the list and had the most stars. It is located in Mathis Brothers. Don’t let that stop you if you like really good food very reasonable

Incredibly weird going to a furniture store for breakfast, but without a doubt the best chicken and waffles ever! This is truly gourmet chef prepared food. Not just a short order breakfast chef. Do not miss out on this because of the location.
My wife had an omelet that was also great.
If I have one suggestion, order the syrup on the side of your chicken and waffles so the the waffle stays crispy.

Amazing as always!!! The service and the food always exceed our expectations. It’s a hidden gem in Tulsa and should not be missed.

I can’t believe that the 5-​star reviews on this place are legit. We were the only people there on a Saturday morning at 9:00 and they acted like they’d never seen a customer before. They were out of bacon, didn’t know how to run the register, and didn’t know what their menu said was supposed to come with our meals. Besides, eating breakfast in the corner of a furniture store is weird. The food was average. Several complained that it was cold. We got our coffee but they never brought the water we asked for. We just got tired of going back over and over to ask for all the things they forgot. The overall experience was very poor. Would’ve been better off at ihop.

This place was amazing! My friend said his chicken and waffles were the best he’s ever had, and he’s had a lot. I had a very nice omelet (Juke Joint) and it was great, although, I enjoyed the potatoes more than anything else. We ordered then took a nice walk through the furniture store that it’s attached to. I don’t give out a lot of 5 stars, but this place is very deserving and the chefs were awesome.

Important note if you want to eat breakfast on Sunday: Sponzs DO NOT offer their regular menu on Sundays. They only have a Sunday Brunch Buffet for $ 14.99 — not including drinks.
This review is based on my experience on a Sunday morning. I am still considering if I will go back on a different day and if I do I will modify my review accordingly.
My friends and I were looking for a brunch place on a Sunday hoping to find great and different french toasts and waffles in the South Tulsa area. After reading Unilocal reviews and looking at the Sponzs menu on their website we decided this was the place to go. When we got to the place we found out that on Sundays they do not have a full menu available and only serve food from the brunch buffet menu ($ 14.99 drinks not included). They mentioned that you could only order their chicken and waffle dish for ~$ 10. After looking at the items in the buffet and trusting 100% in the 4.5 stars reviews and the Tulsa awards they have received we decided to give it a try even though that was not what we were in the mood for that day.
How the buffet works: When we were paying for the food in front, the brunch buffet menu mentions Prime Rib Steak and Shrimps among other things. We thought the steak and the shrimps were part of the buffet trays when we paid in front. Once we were in the table waiting for our empty plates to use for the buffet we received a plate with a prime rib steak and two-​cold shrimps with a shrimp cocktail and scrambled eggs. They cooked the steak after we paid in front for the buffet. They did not asked us how we wanted the steak cooked and they brought us medium-​well cooked steak to the four of us. How we wanted the eggs was also not an option. They also brought an extra plate that you could use for the buffet trays but they ask people to only do ONE trip to the buffet.
But, I have to say that the prime steak was delicious and very well seasoned. No complains there!
Food in the buffet: They offer french toast (with fresh blueberry and blackberries) but they were cold because they didn’t have the burners on, which was disappointing because the flavor of the french toast was good. I bet they could have been a lot better If they were hot. These are not like the french toasts in the picture because those are the ones in the regular menu. These are very simple french toasts. The potatoes were warm and really tasty. My friends loved the sausages. I also remember they had mashed potatoes, steam veggies and sausage patties… so not much variety.
I gave it a 3-​stars because even though the whole experience was weird and not at all what I had in mind (probably because is different on Sundays) the food tasted good and the service was fast and nice but they could do better. The place has potential. I was not happy that they do not mention in their website that they don’t have regular menu on Sundays. I went there with higher expectations and then was disappointed.

Best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had! Great food and great service. They really make you feel like you’re at home. I’ve already recommend it to my coworkers and I’ll definitely be back: D

I was intrigued when I saw a brunch place with such great reviews so I decided to try it out. Honestly I was disappointed. I got the Wayman Tisdale French toast, which was WAY too sweet. The berries tasted like they had been frozen and thawed, as they were soggy and inedible. Coffee tasted like it was burnt and sat there for days. Potatoes and biscuits and gravy were the best parts of the meal, but we’re nothing to write home about. Staff was very friendly, but I will not be going back. That’s what I get for eating at a Mathis Brothers I guess.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Most amazing breakfast I have ever had — - EVER!!! So happy we found this place!!! Wish we had one in Austin! Starr-​Fisher was more than delicious and oh yeah, even the coffee and toast are worth mentioning. Thank you, Anthony! Your hospitality was above and beyond and your food is out of this world!

This place is the breakfast hidden GEM of Tulsa‼ Found with Mathis Brothers Furniture store. Great chef, great service and the food was absolutely amazing‼ I had The Earl and my girlfriend had the Chicken and Waffles. Definitely going to be a repeat customer.

Went with the recommendations and tried Sponzs on a visit to Tulsa. The food was great and the owner was very nice. The Wedge and the chicken and waffles were delicious. Definitely worth the trip inside the furniture store.

Honestly this place had to be the most chill and relaxing place to eat a meal I’ve ever been to. Chef was absolutely amazing! I had the signature «Chicken and Waffle» and hard to believe it taste better than it looked. My fiancé had the «T-​Town» and she was hooked with the gravy and hash! It wasn’t just the amazing food and atmosphere that made this place great… It was the overwhelming passion the Chef has for people and food. It’s very rare to find someone who is as genuine as that man!

Absolute delight! Jazz and omelettes. We shared a smoothie. Meat lovin husband enjoyed the Juke Joint. I had the vegetarian friendly Starr Fisher. The toast was really good — wheatberry bread.

Good chef, good vibes and overall good food! The hubby and I wanted to try some amazing breakfast and today was a GREAT morning. The ambiance of Mathis Brothers isn’t so bad neither!

Don’t be fooled by the location. The restaurant is inside of a furniture store but the food is great! Open for brunch all day. I’ll definitely check this place out next time I’m in Tulsa.

This place is amazing! It’s in a furniture store so at first we were confused at first but don’t let that deter you. I was with a group of 6 we all had something different and everything was absolutely amazing! The service is great. The only thing a regret is not finding this place sooner. Next time I’m in Tulsa I will be back!

Honestly, we walked in and almost walked out Bc it’s in a furniture store… THANK GOD WE DIDN’T!!! Absolutely the best breakfast in Tulsa and might be the best breakfast I’ve ever had… The Route 66 was banging! Garlic fries on point… It’s a Tulsa must!

I got the Wayman Tisdale French Toast. It was good. Stuffed with berry cream cheese & topped with mixed berries along with syrup. I didn’t catch what type of syrup it was but it wasn’t your average. Definitely enough to make you full. Their hash browns were good as well.
