I’ve been serving the greater Tulsa area as a personal trainer since 2004. I have specialized knowledge in functional assessment, core training, biomechanics, and flexibility. I guide my clients toward lifelong health and fitness by developing customized strength and conditioning, cardiovascular, and nutrition programs that can be tailored for all varieties of goals and special needs. As a freelance trainer, I am based out of Symmetry Gym in South Tulsa — a community-​driven gym which includes 247 keycard access as well as a full array of free weights, kettlebells, Hammer Strength machines, and much more.

History

Established in 2013.

I began my personal training career in 2004, at the now-​defunct Reaction Fitness (now Planet Fitness). I spent time at Aspen Active (also closed) before moving on to Sky Fitness & Well-​Being in 2006. In 2007, I joined Fitness Together, where I remained for nearly 7 years.

Ultimately though, I have learned that I will never achieve the professional growth I desire nor the freedom to implement all the tools I think are optimal to deliver results when I am working for someone else. So, in summer 2013, I struck out on my own. As a freelance trainer I have very little overhead, which means I can charge my clients less while making personal training a more sustainable career for myself and my family.

Now, with nearly a decade of experience in the fitness industry, I am starting on my own path and using expertise forged with years of continuing education and hands-​on experience to guide my clients toward the strongest, healthiest bodies they’ve ever achieved.

Business Owner

I was born in Milwaukee, WI, but I’ve spent most of my life here in Tulsa. After studying exercise science at the University of Tulsa and attaining certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, I began my personal training career in 2004. Through continuing education, I’ve achieved specialized knowledge in biomechanics, flexibility and mobility, functional assessment, and core training. I have extensive experience with free weights, TRX Suspension Training, kettlebells, and high-​intensity interval training (HIIT) and I’ve worked with clients ranging from stay-​at-​home moms to dedicated athletes. In my spare time I play guitar, read popular science books and magazines, build computers, and spend time with my friends and family (and, of course, my cat).
