This was my worst nail salon experience ever. The woman working rushed me to choose my color, even though there were no other customers there(I now know why). The polish choice was minimal so it didn’t take me long to choose anyway. The man who did my nails was rough and didn’t acknowledge me in English once, not even to tell me to go wash my hands, he just pointed. The manicure job wasn’t good at all and he seemed to be annoyed at everything I did. Never going back.

WARNING! WARNING! DONOTGOTOTHISSALON! This is the worse salon ever! Dirty, outdated and it smells. The manicurist was rude, tried to do a terrible job, unprofessional and cut my finger! Asked for a French tip Manicure, not a half white, half pink nail. I told him as soon as he put my nails on, I did not want that much white. He just looked at me and said, «I fix». When he got all my nails on, he said again, «I fix». That’s when I stopped him because I thought he wasn’t understanding what I was saying and told him I didn’t like the look. He threw the brush down on the table and started yelling(in almost perfect English) that I should have told him. Then he started yelling about it would grow out in a week(why would I want these ugly nails for a week? I have a company party In two days). I reminded him that it is a French tip, not a French half my nail! That’s when he started to scream that I should have told him earlier and now he would have to start all over. We were just yelling at each other at this point so I told him we were leaving. He said he had to take the nails off and started just chopping them off, that’s when he cut me. I was done! I walked out with half and half nails that six of them were chopped off and my pinky finger was bleeding! DISGUSTING customer service. Do not walk by this place… RUN!!!

Recently I took my boyfriend in for a pedicure for myself and a foot rub for him but they insisted on giving him a pedicure, even when he kept saying no no i just want a foot massage. After multiple times of him practically yelling«NO!» they still tried to start clipping his toenails, pretending like they didnt understand what he was saying. Oh and just recently my friend contracted athlete’s foot from this location. Worst nail salon I’ve been to yet. I’ll never go back.

Elegant nails is the nail salon in woodland hills mall. I’ve walked past the salon so many times and finally yesterday, I decided it was time to try them out. The salon looked nice enough but not particularly clean. Not dirty by any means but definitely not one of the cleaner nail salons. The staff was friendly but I was disappointed by their management of customer flow. I went in at a relatively slow time– Monday evening at 7:30p. I didn’t have too much time for a mani but desperately needed to get some nail grooming so I asked if someone was available right then. They indicated that someone was free, I just needed to pick a color. Unfortunately I still waited 15m to be seen. Now normally, 15m is an absolutely appropriate wait at a nail salon. But when I specified that I was in a hurry I wish they would have been more clear. The color selection was also lacking. No Essie colors and a limited array of O.P.I., many of which seemed to have separated out. They had some china glaze and another brand I didn’t recognize but the choices were limited and many were separated. My main qualm however was the manicure quality. My manicure was rushed and consisted only of a nail trim, a quick(and uneven) filing job, a paraffin wax dip(which was immediately removed so I’m not sure how much that really did) and application of color. My manicurist attempted to push my cuticles but, it felt she did it more for the quick ‘show’ of doing it. Nothing was actually pushed and my eye sore of cuticles remained intact. My nails weren’t buffed and I was jipped of the normal hand massage. My manicurist did dip my hands in paraffin before she painted my nails, but 1. she didn’t wrap them so the paraffin actually got on my jeans before it dried and 2. she immediately removed it so the wax had no time to really do anything. The paint job was also rushed and sloppy. Finally, another customer entered the salon soon after my manicure started and faced the same fate I did. He was advised that someone would be with him immediately. Apparently, that«someone» was the manicurist who had JUST started my nails. After a few minutes, when that customer started to leave, the Elegant Nails staff suggested that my manicurist was just finishing up and would be with him«right away!» Unfortunately, she hadn’t even started my color at that point! Not only did my manicurist rush through my nails, she spent the remainder of my session bickering with her colleague. The other customer clearly felt bad and suggested that he would wait and there was no need to rush my manicurist. I appreciate his patience but my experience was already shot by then! I’m bummed –I wish Elegant Nails would have worked for me but I don’t plan to revisit.
