I can’t honestly speak for any of the services at this particular business nor rate them on their performance. This is because after trying(for nearly a month) to get booked in for a manicure treatment using a Groupon voucher I purchased from Shadow Paxton, I was left hanging by not only her but one of the salon owners as well. I purchased a voucher for a Moroccan oil shellac manicure in preparation for a trip I would be taking in mid August. I originally phoned the number provided(belonging to the technician) in mid July, about a month out from my departure. I left two messages between three different attempts in calling her that whole week. I was then contacted by someone who I assumed was the receptionist at the salon. In trying to explain that I was just getting organized as far in advance as possible. I was told by this person that I needed to call back in August closer to my trip date to schedule. This was the first time I’ve ever been turned away for trying to book early. I should have suspected at that moment. Fast forward to three weeks later(one week before I leave) and again I’m unable to get the technician on the phone — I called four times! I was able to track down the salon she works in and called them directly in the hopes of just being able to book through the receptionist. As I was explaining my difficulties in scheduling to the gentleman on the phone, he informed me that he was actually one of the owners and seemed to understand my frustration. He then took down all of my information, including my email address, and assured me that he would get in contact with Ms. Paxton and I would receive a call-back that very same day. Well the evening came and went and I still got nothing. It’s at this point that I’m asking Groupon for a refund because this whole farce is just plain ridiculous. I may not be a small business owner or anything, but I’m pretty sure the whole idea behind issuing something like a Groupon is with the intended purpose of expanding your client base and then maintaining those new clients. If this business isn’t interested in that then congratulations! You’re the first entirely self-sufficient salon I have ever seen and I’m certain you have no need for any client-sourcing whatsoever. Even if they were to offer me a free service at this point, I would turn it down because if this is a demonstration of their lack of basic customer service one faces in just trying to BOOK an appointment, I can’t imagine what one would encounter once they’re in the door. TLDR: If you’re a new client trying to schedule a nail service with Shadow Paxton, I wish you better luck than me!
