Baymont Inn And Suites Tulsa

First, let me state that when looking around before booking this hotel, all I was looking for a clean place to sleep, a fully non-​smoking property, and breakfast would be a perk. I am NOT from Tulsa, and haven’t ever visited (was here for the boyfriends family) and booked blindly.
For the great price (we booked on
), I honestly couldn’t have been more pleased.
At the time of our stay (checked in 5÷17÷2014) the hotel is remodeling. Some of the updates are already very apparent, but they take time, of course.
LOCATION /​AREA — We are staying 6 nights in Tulsa, and wanted something close to the highway. There’s a couple places to eat close by as well as a Kum & Go — a gas station and well-​stocked convenience store — really close by. We enjoyed the location, considering we had plans to go to both North and South Tulsa, Jenks, and Bixby. The area is clean, quiet, and pleasant. I love that this is far enough back from the main road and highway that I don’t have to hear road notice or traffic ²⁴⁄₇. It can be heard off the distance but nothing crazy.
BREAKFAST — The breakfast (which I’ve included some thorough pictures of) wasn’t bad at all for an affordable establishment like this. Waffles, coffee, juice, mini-​muffins & cinnamon rolls, bread (for toast), bagels, cereal, cold milk (2% & Nonfat), some apples, and plenty of breakfast-​type condiments made for a decent spread. It’s a little carb-​heavy, but again, I was pleased. We went out to breakfast nearby couple mornings to get something with eggs, but had we been staying only 1 or 2 nights, the continental breakfast would have been plenty.
LOBBY — the staff was pleasant and personable. They were quick to check us in and friendly each time we stopped by, whether to ask a question, or if we just waved walking by. The lobby itself is clean (despite the equipment and supplies clearly being used for the remodel) and the elevator works, though is a bit slow since there’s just one and it’s shared with both guests and staff.
ROOM — Our room was on the third floor on the front side of the hotel… Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised. While the lobby, hallways, and other shared areas are still being renovated, the rooms are clearly on the priority list and have been updated! It is clean, smells nice, and is very spacious! We have a one king-​sized bed, and there is plenty of lighting in the room. The air conditioner works splendidly, and is set up to work with the thermostat on the wall, so we don’t have to regulate it, we just set the temp and it turned off and on as-​needed on its own. The water pressure here is also a perk! I don’t know about you, but a hotel shower with poor water pressure is a big frustration for me. The sink/​vanity area was clean and well-​stocked, as was the shower. 2 rolls of TP in the loo was great (especially since we prefer not to use maid service while we are staying multiple nights). Though we didn’t use it much, TV works great — nice, new 32″ flat-​screen. The curtains did a good job of blocking out light when we wanted to sleep in (our bodies are on Pacific Time). I’d say that if I made a change, I wish we had a mini-​fridge and microwave in-​room.
THE BED — this was the most pleasant surprise of all in our room! Not only are the sheets and blankets clean (both look & smell), but the mattress and pillows are astonishingly comfortable. Not hard, not too squishy, but goldy-​locks-​style «just right»! Between the pleasant in-​room temperature, the comfy bed, the soft, clean sheets, and the quiet area, it was a total win! I was so happy to sleep so soundly while here — that is the point after all, right?
If the prices remain affordable (not the cheapest place in town, but still a great bargain), we will be staying here again the next time we come to Tulsa.
We are still here, so will update if anything changes or happens, but so far, so good!!!

Nice hotel I enjoyed my stay.

I booked this hotel with AAA when driving home, and it wasn’t half bad. It’s right off the expressway in Tulsa, and easy to spot from the road. When we got here, they already had our information up, so we were able to check in easily with no problem at all.
The rooms themselves are nice, spacious and smelled great! We got a room on the first floor as we had requested at the end, since we are both smokers and I think the whole hotel is non smoking. Easy to get out the side door to the parking lot, and you can walk to Cane’s chicken fingers to get food and to the gas station if you want to grab something quick like chips or pop without having to get into the car again.
The wifi connection was awesome, and no password was needed. I did try to call the front desk from the phone in the room to get a wake up call, but the phone was busted! It had so much static that I couldn’t hear a thing! When I told the guy he apologized but didn’t really have an answer for me. Not that I was looking for an answer, but I don’t always feel like running up to the front desk every time I need something.
Secondly, the coffee maker didn’t work! UGH. I tried like 3 times and nothing happened. Walked back up to the desk and the guy apologized, but again, nothing was done. Now I was irritated! I can deal with the busted phone, but the busted coffee maker to? SERIOUSLY.
Also, I was running low on toilet paper when I got there, and that was kind of a night mare. Yes, I had «enough» but after spending the day in the car, you don’t get out to go to the bathroom as much, and sometimes you have to go when you have to go. Plus, I had a girlfriend with me, so we both had to go! There was half a roll on one and less then a quarter roll on the other, with no spare rolls anywhere in the room. We blew through the small roll in like 5 minutes and I was worried about running out in the middle of the night.
But, the phone’s busted, so I hustle to the front desk. No one was there! UGH. We ended up having enough toilet paper, but if we had stayed through checkout time, we would have been in trouble. (we left WAY early in the morning, so we were fine.) Just annoying! Felt like the cleanings staff isn’t thurough here, and could do a better job of putting a room together with the small details like checking under the vanity for garbage and stocking the room with toilet paper!
Also, it looks like the cleaning crew didn’t bother to clean under the counter tops from the previous people, because I noticed a bottle cap on the floor in the corner when I was putting my luggage down.
The staff was nice, the rooms were spacious, it’s close to the expressway and overall a good experience. They do have a free continental breakfast here, but I think it starts at 6 AM? We left at 5:30 am since we had a long drive ahead of us, so we didn’t get a chance to check it out.

I stayed here with my baby and my parents in adjoining rooms. When we arrived (June 2012), our room was filthy. There was some white gel like substance on the floor that look like ejaculate (sorry to be graphic), and there was poop in the toilet that the staff hadn’t bothered to clean or flush. Very disturbing! I didn’t want to sleep in that room after that situation, so they moved us to another adjoining room and were going to charge us an additional amount, when I told them that it was their disgusting room that led us to this situation. I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again if they paid me to. Obviously their cleaning staff hasn’t been doing their job properly…

Upon walking up to the building, I thought it was nice from the outside. The location, however, was bad and I saw places with bars on the windows just across the street. Where do I start?
After I checked in, I proceeded to take my luggage to my room and lo’ and behold, my room was not made. Actually, it scared the sh*t out of me walking in because the lights were on, the TV was on, and the bed was not made — as if someone was already staying there but had just left the room. The property manager was kind enough to provide me with a new room but this room had issues of its own. The bathroom walls were peeling, like others have said, and the temperature set to 75 degrees felt at least 5 degrees cooler. The TV is a joke so I didn’t even bother turning it on but it was nice that they provided free WiFi.
When I went to take a shower in the morning, I turned on the water and this clump of hair started moving. Gross! They didn’t even bother cleaning the drain after the previous customer! Then there’s the breakfast. For breakfast, you get toast, muffin, cereal, bagels, oatmeal, coffee, apple juice, orange juice, fresh fruit (if there are any left), and waffles that you can make on a waffle iron. The waffle dough wouldn’t dispense because it was too thick so the lady there was putting in tap water to break it up. NO THANK YOU! What was disappointing was that there were no meat or eggs, which would have been nice, but for the price it wasn’t too terrible. The rooms were clean enough but for someone who is particular, he or she may not find it so pleasant.
Would I book this place again? Probably not, unless it was discounted at least 50%.

BaymOnt inn is the best hotel chain from east to west coast and ive stayed in em all. Prices range from 45 to 70 but always worth it. I stayed in a exonolodge for 50 bucks the other nite and it suct. Dont let anyone reciew fool yOu. If you can find a baymont inn then stay there you will not refret it or their huge breakfast.

cheap, clean, fitness center a total plus, friendly receptionist. it is what it is, for $ 44 a night it was better than expected

I have to say I liked this place. The staff greeted me every time that I came through the lobby and they were fun to joke around with. They truly took an interest of why you were traveling.
I booked the room through Priceline and got it at $ 35 a night. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The price fit right into my budget.
If there was something that I would have to complain about, it would be the paint that was peeling in the bathroom. Outside of that, I would definitely stay here again.

Room was clean enough to stay a night and grab a shower. However, common areas are a little dinghy, but they are currently remodeling in there defense. Typical free hotel carb breakfast and coffee. Conveniently located right off the highway and could easily park our truck and trailer. Staff was nice and friendly.

Honestly, I booked this place because I noticed it had 4 star ratings on Expedia… silly me, I should’ve read the reviews on Unilocal…
Where to begin???
–From Tulsa Intl Airport, I had to navigate around the construction area (where I was supposed to exit) before getting there. Also, a pain in the ass to get around when you go places.
–Right by the freeway
–The room had black scuff marks on the walls (like a previous poster said), I noticed the desk was put together wrong because the cardboard side was facing me (oh the little things…), you have to PAY for TV (HA HA HA HA HA), and you can hear people upstairs and to the side.
–The area is kind of shady
–Though I had a nonsmoking room, I could still smell smoke
–The breakfast was ok, but I wish they had eggs and meat.
Oh well. You get what you pay for right? Shame on me.

First, the good.
I really enjoyed the free Wi-​Fi access, and the complimentary breakfast. That is a classy touch that sometimes gets overlooked in the ‘econo’ price range (sub$ 50/​night.) The lady at the front desk also seemed really eager to help with any questions, but my wife said that’s because she was hitting on me. Hey, it happens.
That’s it for the good. Don’t read the rest of this if you hate whiny reviews about sub-​par facilities and unmet expectations.
I should say that I booked this room because I got (what I thought was) a crazy cheap price. The published rack rate (in the room) is $ 199/​night. I don’t know how that was EVER justified. At $ 50/​night, I felt like I was getting ripped off. The room was adequate in size, fitting both double beds with space for one person to walk in between. There was an old color TV that got 10 free cable channels (no movie channels) and a coffee maker, hair dryer, and iron.
We had booked a non-​smoking room but there was a faint odor of smoke, which I figured could have been from the hallway or a neighboring room. My wife and daughter both woke up with sore throats from the smokiness, so we opted to spend as little time in the room as possible.
The location of the hotel is convenient to the freeway, which is nice if you need that. If you like to have the curtains open while you’re in your room and you don’t like looking at the freeway? Well, you should have ponied up a few more bucks for a nicer place.
Complimentary continental breakfast included all of the standards: muffins, toast, cereal, waffles (make your own — fun for the kiddies!) and milk/​juice/​coffee. The fruit was a little sketchy, so we skipped it and ate the waffles.
Overall, I wouldn’t stay her again, unless it was the last place available in the city. And even then I wouldn’t want to pay more than $ 20/​night.
