Atlas Grill

Solid spot for breakfast. Clean space with character and good service. My husband got the Spanish Omelette — it was very good, and the potatoes had crispy onions and jalapenos in them. I had waffles with fruit and bacon — also very good. Coffee was hot, fresh, and tasty. This was a great spot for breakfast downtown on the weekend.

YUMMO! This place is a absolute gem, located in a historic building in downtown Tulsa. The tomato bisque is always a favorite of mine here. They use to have the pesto pasta, but not sure if they have it anymore. IF they do you must try it! Add some grilled chicken to it and you won’t be disappointed. Fast and wonderful service!

Breakfast was really good. Food was cooked well and serving sizes were perfect. Service kinda slow but friendly.

Based on previous Unilocal reviews we decided to try Atlas Grill. Went hoping to try the veggie burger but they were sold out — which tells me it must be amazing so I will be trying it next time we are in town — decided to «settle» on the Cincinnati sandwich. It. Was. Amazing! Totally unexpected surprise! Will make sure to come back next time we are in Tulsa!!!

Everything was amazing. Service was a little slow at times but it was very busy. All of the food was made with fresh tasting ingredients.

Very cool location inside the Atlas Life building. It was quiet when we were there on the weekend. The place is very clean and has an old school look to it. Good, friendly service and excellent sandwiches.
Next visit to Tulsa we will return to this place!

The tuna sandwich was seasoned nicely and the basil Mayo was delicious. Vegetables were fresh and the role was soft. The iced tea was also quite tasty. I would give a higher rating, but I saw the girl that was running food and prepping takeout orders, pick her teeth and not wash her hands before resuming work. I hope she doesn’t make anyone sick.

Good food, good prices. A little out of the way and hidden for those not familiar with the area. I would suspect it is more of a local lunch stop for the people who work downtown. A nice change of pace though from the usual haunts.

I honestly learned about the Atlas Grill from my Unilocal buddy Trina J. who lives in Chicago, but visits Tulsa on business.
On one of the few days when I didn’t need a dog-​sled team to get from the hotel to my client’s offices, I took a little stroll in search of a lunchtime eatery. Based upon Trina’s recommendations I followed my trusty Unilocal app towards the Atlas Grill. The restaurant is located inside of the great Art Deco-​style Atlas Life building, and it’s worth a few moments to wander around and appreciate the architecture.
The restaurant is on the ground floor of the building, down the corridor towards the statue of Atlas balancing the world on his shoulders. Be sure to look up at the ceiling to get a real appreciation for the Art Deco ceiling tiles. The Grill was originally a coffee shop, and they’ve expanded the place to give it more of a diner feel.
The Atlas Grill is open for breakfast from 7 — 9:30am Monday through Friday, and then they re-​open from 11am — 2pm for lunch. Weekend hours are 9am — 2pm Saturday & Sunday.
I was there for lunch, and so I ordered The Atlas burger which was ¹⁄₃ lb. of fresh ground beef which was grilled and served with Dijon mustard and fried onions. I stuck to an order of fries for my side, but I could have substituted fresh fruit, Cole slaw, cottage cheese, potato salad, sweet potato fries, side salad or pasta salad for an upcharge.
The burger was delicious, and I certainly appreciated the 1920s ambiance of this little restaurant. If you’re in the downtown Tulsa area then pop over to the Atlas Grill for a great lunch.

5 stars just because, you have to go. Yes they do get busy and yes you need to probably get there a bit early. BUT, the food is just outstanding, especially the breakfast. If your a downtowner and out and about around 7, mos definitely check in with the breakfast. The gravy is just A+++mazing. Love the atmosphere and older art deco building its in. Reminds me of getting breakfast with my dad as a kid.

Came here for breakfast and loved it. This is more of a diner than a restaurant, but the breakfast was affordable and terrific. The bacon, in particular, was outstanding. Maybe the best bacon I’ve ever had — and I’ve had a lot. Great staff too, very friendly and warm. A great experience all around.

After looking at the photos. I decided to come and wow! The workers are friendly and service was great. The food was delicious. I want to try there breakfast next time.

I frequent their brunch very often, in fact some of the staff even knows me by name.
The first thing I would say is that it’s located in Downtown Tulsa in the Atlas Life building which is an excellent display of the Art Deco from the 1920’s. You walk through the main front entrance, it’s marked for the hotel. You walk through the entry way with one of the most beautiful ceilings. The restaurant is located in the very back, on your right. You can sit anywhere you’d like– inside the restaurant or underneath the beautiful ceiling.
My favorite thing on the menu is simple, their breakfast potatoes. The are cooked with fried onions and jalapenos which has the most amazing flavor. They are incredibly accommodating to fill your needs. The service is kind and always quick to help.
I enjoy the breakfast burrito or the breakfast sandwich.
It’s a wonderful neighborhood dinner that you have to look for. Give it a shot!

Breakfast taco was $ 2.50 & amazing! Eggs, black beans, & jack cheese in corn tortilla — they were out of the black bean burger for my whole stay, but the portobello mushroom sandwich was awesome.
Our group has some picky eaters & everybody’s special requests were handled smoothly.

Fast flexible service. Got a veggie burger salad that they created for me. Good portion size. It was tasty and had really good poppyseed dressing.

Okay people I’m not a veggie burger kind of girl, but the black bean burger from Atlas is out of this world. I pair it with fruit, but the sweet potato fries are also killer. Get the chipotle mayo on the side, this is only because you get more and it’s heavenly. I crave this burger.
You can go here for a quick lunch. You order at the counter then wait for your food. It’s quick and yummy. There is something for everyone here. You can also get to Atlas through the tunnels which is a great feature on rainy days.

I work downtown, so I have come to atlas grill for lots of lunches with my coworkers.
accessible by Tulsa’s underground tunnel system (which comes in handy for 18 degree wintery days like today), fun feel in a beautiful + historical tulsan building, wide variety of sandwiches, soups, and salads. they also have burgers and black bean burgers. and cakeballs.
somehow I always end up paying way more than I intend to here — not sure if their sodas are just heavily up priced or what the deal is. also, if you want anything besides tortilla chips as your side, it’s a bit of an up charge as well. they do have awesome side options though and I believe it’s a $ 1.50 extra. cottage cheese, tabouli, fruit, sweet potato fries. mmm mmm good.
get the Houston on wheat with tortilla chips (to save a little $$) and salsa. okay, okay. and a cakeball [or two].

The line to get in is always long, so that gives one idea of how good this place is. We went for lunch on a Wednesday and left a little earlier than usual to try to beat the line. Nope. Didn’t work. It wasn’t as bad as it could have been but it was still out to the door.
The menu is pretty simple, mostly sandwiches and burgers. They all come with the same spicy pickle as the deli in the same building. You also get a side of chips, but they’re tortilla chips. Without salsa, that seems odd to me. I had one. And one bite of the pickle.
The burger was great. I had the Atlas Burger with American cheese. Pretty simple but that’s what I like.
They have the obligatory sweet and non-​sweet tea but their sweet tea is not sweetened with sugar. I could taste the artificial sweetener in it. I did not care for that at all. They should tell you what they’re using and not just serve it. I dumped it out and had a Dr. Pepper.
All-​in-​all, a good place. Nothing great but not bad.

We walked around downtown searching for a good breakfast place. We were so hungry and passed up several decent places. We walked into Atlas’s building, sized it up and couldn’t decide if we should eat yet. We took pictures of the beautiful architecture and started to hear towards the café at the front of the building. It looked just as good, but we both looked at each other and realized fried eggs from a very seasoned grill was the way to go.
Best decision of the day! We made it in just under the wire. Quickly we ordered eggs, toast, bacon, yogurt and coffee. Eggs were cooked perfectly: medium, only runny when you apply gentle pressure, slowly into it. The manager tended to us while getting the place ready to close for breakfast. He told us about the history of the building and the neighborhood. Our experience contributed to our fantastic stay in downtown Tulsa.
If we had a place like this Austin, we would go twice a week!

There are so many feel good moments when it comes to dining at the Atlas Grill. Here are some of mine:
–Located downtown in the Atlas Life building, there is 1920’s art deco everywhere. It instantly makes one feel like they are in a special historic spot of Tulsa.
–Parking can be found anywhere around the block pretty easily before the noon lunch crowd.
— After you walk through the front door, go straight to the back to find Atlas Grill on your right. Pass musicians and boutique shops along the way; smile.
— Some of the kindest people work here. Even if there is a line, they don’t stress. Life’s too short!
— You may find a couple of cute grandpa’s reading the paper together who you’ll want to drink coffee with.
— The food is incredible. The black bean burger has a delectable texture and has some kind of perfect crisp around it. The soups? Upgrade yourself and get some as a side. All of the soups I’ve had here are some of the freshest and most flavorful I’ve ever had!
— Assortment of cake balls are available. I might have tried more than one… all have perfect balance of cake and outer chocolate layer!

I love this place. The food was excellent and great value…
