History

Established in 1993.

Dr Walsh purchased a small downtown Tulsa Optometry practice when she graduated from Optometry school in 1993. Her goal was to provide quality eye care with an increased attention to detail that her engineering background would reinforce. She has a special interest in custom contacts that utilizes her abilities and the mechanics of her background. The practice was relocated first to midtown then to its current location in 2011 to allow he to better serve her patients.

I entered Oklahoma State University in the fall of 1977 with a major of engineering. Upon graduation with a B.S. Electrical Engineering degree in 1982, I accepted employment with AT&T Technologies.

During my employment with AT&T, I attended OCU’s accelerated night school program to obtain a M.B.A. I graduated in 1986 with high honors, a 4.0 grade point average and the award with outstanding off campus student. I enjoyed my business studies and began to ponder where to direct my career. As a result, I decided optometry was the career which best fit my goals. I applied to and was accepted at three optometry schools. I resigned from AT&T May 1989 to attend Northeastern State University College of Optometry.

I graduated Summa Cum Laude in May 1993 with my Doctorate of Optometry. At that time, Dr. Donovan and I were planning to work together until his retirement, when I planned to purchase his practice. Dr. Donovan passed away unexpectedly and I purchased the practice from his wife.
