Very chill atmosphere and you get an awesome neck and shoulder massage with every service! My stylist, shawna, was very upfront and honest with me, which I appreciate, and let me know that getting completely white hair was unrealistic in one session. She is very knowledgable and knows her craft very well.

I no longer live in Tulsa, but when I come back to visit family I always go in and see Jamie for a shampoo blowout. She always does a fantastic job on my thick crazy hair. She’s awesome. Can’t wait to see her again!

One of the worst salon experiences I’ve ever had.
I arrived early for my appointment, which was a mistake since my stylist wasn’t available to see me until 15 minutes after my scheduled time.
You have to remove your top (in a dressing room) and put on a robe that only has one button at the top and ties around the waist (not cute and made me feel immediately uncomfortable).
When I finally sat down with my stylist, I was a little nervous. Her appearance wasn’t what you would expect from a professional stylist, she even admitted that she hadn’t had her hair done in about six months and kept referring to my and her roots showing as «root rot». Again, didn’t do much to put me at ease.
The color station is basically just a group of chairs where they slap on the color, makes you understand why you have to remove your clothing — messy! My stylist was very persistent about which color highlight I needed saying all her other clients were using that color, oh it was orange (her description, not mine). When I tried to point out a different color, she took the search book from me and said those weren’t reliable anyway.
After we settled on a color, it was time to rinse. Well, the shampoo station was so backed up we had to stand in line. Apparently some of the chairs were broken. We stood in line so long that out of desperation we just used a broken chair — water everywhere.
Finally, the color is out and it’s cutting time. Honestly, the thought of getting a haircut at this point was terrifying, I really just wanted to leave. I asked for a trim just to clean up the ends. Well, even that was a mistake. The poor stylist really should not be near scissors. She was making weird random cuts and didn’t even cut all of the ends, there were still some split ends when I left. There was also a huge chunky cut that shows up if I don’t part my hair just right.
I wouldn’t recommend this salon to anyone. I’m glad some people have found this to be a great place, but it was just an all-​around awful experience for me.

Upon first going here I was very happy with my hair stylist and pricing. Then as the months proceeded their pricing seem to increase and increase.
My second to last visit here my hairstylist had decided to dye my hair three different colors and in sections. It looked awful but I had no time to have it addressed as my son was going into surgery in Dallas, and he was my main focus. My last visit here I brought it to her attention and she fixed it however at checkout she charged me to fix it. My bill was almost $ 300. When I got into the car, I noticed that my eyebrow tint was darker than my natural eyebrow color (major fail) and that she had missed several gray hairs. My hair did look fine (other than the items I listed above) until I found a new stylist, who explain to me what she was doing that was causing my hair to look streaky and three toned! I did speak with the manager here and he did offer for me to come back and have it addressed for free but given they had messed it up twice and my hair is already so fragile I decided to wait and go elsewhere.
The salon is beautiful and they have a beautiful staff and a great system however numbering hairstylists on levels is really useless in my book. A good hairstylist is a good hairstylist and there is no level for that. I don’t want to be biased and say don’t go here as my hairstylist was my issue, and I am sure there are plenty others there who are great! But beware of pricing as it is not cheap. Waxing is even pricey. My mother had her waxing done here when she visited from San Diego, California and even she said she had never in her life paid that much for waxing and she’s from San Diego California!
So if you go here make sure you bring plenty of $$!

This place is more than just a hair salon! It’s a real treat and you feel like you’re at the spa. Not only is the place fun and contemporary, the service is unbelievable! I had Paige do my hair-​and wow! I didn’t even know my hair could look like that! Very knowledgable about cut and style to make me look my very best! I’m so glad I took all of her advice bc my hair looks and feels like I never thought it could! And if this isn’t enough to convince you, the washroom. Oh man. It’s a whole new, phenomenal experience like no other place in tulsa! Stressed? Want to not only look pretty but feel pretty? Then this place is for you! Bad day goes away here with great service, great hair, and a great neck massage. Thanks again for the wonderful experience!

As a professional who works in television, my appearance is crucial to my success. For that reason, I was so happy to have finally found an amazing salon here in Tulsa.
From my cut and color to my eyebrow waxing, ARCS Salon provided me with an amazing experience before, during, and after my appointment. From the soothing and gentle shampoo massage (complete with the beverage of my choice) to the actual haircut itself, everyone at the salon was the perfect combination of professional and fun — you could tell all the employees truly loved working there!
My color was matched perfectly and my hair cut was EXACTLY as I described it. Plus, my stylist (whose name was Mel — ask for her!) even took the time afterward to walk me through proper daily maintenance and some pretty ingenious styling tips… all without trying to convince to buy products I don’t need.
My experience at ARCS was truly refreshing and one I am looking forward to repeating. If you are looking for a great salon with a friendly staff and truly knowledgable professionals, look no further: ARCS is for you. I haven’t enjoyed a salon experience this much since moving to Tulsa years ago — and I know you will, too!

I think this salon tries too hard to be ‘NY trendy.’ They have you remove your shirt to put on a robe but thank goodness I had a tank top on. The middle was open and you would have seen my girlies! After the shampoo, they give you a neck/​shoulder massage and this was awkward for me. My stylist was a man and when he did my right side it was painful! He would massage my shoulders and have to slide back and forth under my bra strap. I just wasn’t feeling all this in a dark shampoo room. I asked for layers and was told that he would cut layers but not ‘regular layers’ because they did it a different way. I swear he only cut my hair for 3 minutes! The layers aren’t what I’m used to and you could barely tell my hair had been trimmed. He actually spent a lot of time trying to sell me on the $ 200+ blow dryer, $ 120+ flat iron, and all the hair products. I did get suckered into buying Paul Mitchell shampoo but this was the only good that came out of this salon experience. I will be finding another salon so I can get beautiful layers cut into my hair!

Finally, I found my salon here in Tulsa! As soon as I walked in the place, everybody was smiling and seemed really nice. Couple of minutes later, I had the best shampoo + scalp and shoulder massage. I was already sold at that point. Next, I met Taylor, the stylist, who then proceeded to give me one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had.
I loved my experience here so much that I booked my next appointment even before I walked out of the door.
My days of salon hopping here in Tulsa is over. Yay!!!

I just moved to Tulsa one month ago. I desperately needed a cut because I had gone 7 months without a trim (Yes, I know). I happened upon this place thanks to Unilocal.I called on a Saturday morning and they had an opening right away. All I can say is… this is the best decision I ever made. I walked in and saw every stylist is «hip» (funky hair color, cool piercings, etc) and all the employees are friendly. I checked in and the receptionist asked me to sit on their huge round couch. Another employee named Sean introduced himself to me then took me on a tour of the salon. He explained their services, showed me the waxing room, the awesome areas where they color your hair, offered me a beverage, etc. They then (if you’re comfortable doing this) have you change out of your shirt and into a robe. The shampoo room is kind of secluded off. It is dimly lit with soothing music playing. The stylists give you a good scalp massage (who doesn’t like their head scratched?!) and also massage your face, neck, and upper back for about 10 – 15 minutes (this is why you better wear that robe instead of a shirt). It was much needed. My stylist Samantha then did a *perfect* job of cutting my hair. Since I went so long without a cut and I was sick of my long hair, she cut about 5 – 6 inches off and layered it perfectly. She may be the only stylist alive who understands the length I want my hair to be and how I want my layers. The best part? The total for the shampoo, massage, cut, blow dry, and straightening was only 35 bucks! I couldn’t believe it.

I haven’t updated my review since 2010… eeek! And i’ve been going there every 5 weeks or so since then, so I have a lot of time to make up. Just FYI, they’ve stopped the ‘Beauty on a Budget’ night, but they have a walk-​in salon on Brookside that offers the same great experience for a budget friendly price.
I’m still using the same stylist, Lexie, because she’s awesome. She knows my hair better than I do. She’s even customized my hair color — I feel special having a custom formula. Lexie listens to my concerns and makes suggestions about changes to my formula when i’m looking for something new. And she knows me so well at this point that when I asked her to cut some length off of my hair, she didn’t go nearly as short as i’d requested (which i’m thankful for now) because she knew I would freak out. The desk staff is still friendly and helpful, and scheduling is a breeze.
I’ve seen a lot of kids getting their haircuts there — i’m not sure about the kid pricing but hopefully it’s less than adults. Fun atmosphere in a great location in South Tulsa with plenty of parking (right across from Woodland Hills, same parking lot as Old Navy and Nordstrom Rack). Love this place!

The first time I went, Jamie Ballard did my hair. My best friend recommended her and now I do too. This place is legit. They pretty much make you feel like royalty. Wash, cut, and style for $ 35 ($ 45 after my tip). You get a robe so the hair clippings don’t stick to your clothes. Mini neck massage/​relaxation treatment while your hair is being washed. Also, they use this great serum that made my hair soft and conditioned for a week after my haircut.
At other salons, the sink/​chair position always hurts my neck. But at ARCS they have this brilliant sink design that is actually comfortable! I suppose it’s a strange thing to really enjoy, but it’s just so cool I can’t help but like it.

In Tulsa for a few weeks and was in dire need of a cut so did a walk-​in; was appointed to Natalie and showed her a picture for what I wanted. Was a drastic cut (long to very short) and she did a FANTASTIC job, easily the best cut I’ve ever had it’s the next day and it still looks great! Could not recommend the place (very friendly staff) or Natalie highly enough!

I was visiting in Tulsa when I decided I needed a haircut. I was hesitant to go here because it was so trendy and I am older (hate saying that) but I don’t like «old lady» hair styles. Moriah Roberts was my stylist and I received the best hair cut and style I ever had. The whole experience was so fun that when my daughters and I were in San Diego we all went to the Arcs there. While it was very good also, it wasn’t as good as Tulsa. Moriah in Tulsa was so friendly, knowledgeable, and talented. Everyone complimented me on my hair. Loved the whole experience — only negative is I can’t fly to Tulsa from California everytime I need my hair done.

before arriving I spoke to the manager on the phone about the price and was advised starting out it would be $ 75.00 I clearly asked so like $ 100? She said oh yeah well after I had my hair done the stylist apolgized and said she would have me come back in on Wednesday and fix my hair color and cut. I still have roots and my hair has stripes in it. When I went to pay they charged me a $ 190.00!!! I asked the manager she said DeeDee is a level 4 stylist and I explained she told me I was seeing DeeDee before I even came in and was told the cost was $ 100.00. So not only did they lie to me they messed my hair up!!! I now have to have my hair redone Tuesday to fix it and that is damaging to color bleach twice in one week.

I went to ARCS yesterday because I saw all of the good reviews. To be honest, I was not impressed. The color came out good, but the haircut was just blah. I had even brought a picture to show what I wanted. I like leaving the salon feeling awesome with my new haircut and style and unfortunately this was not the case. I wanted to like it but even after I went home and styled it myself it was just boring. I won’t be going back.

Did I ask for a hair consultation? No.
Did I ask if I could take my shirt off and wrap a robe around myself? No.
Did I ask for a 10 – 15 minute head/​neck/​shoulder massage? No.
Did I love every second of it? …YES! DEAR GOD YES!
Okay, for real, what the heck is going on at Arcs? This was not just a hair cut. This was a Follicle Event on my head! From the awesome stark, glossy, white circular room with a sofa to match to the end of the whole experience, this was 5 dang stars! She brought me to the changing room to change out of my shirt and wrap a thin robe around myself. She then took me to a chair to talk about what I wanted to do with my hair. Very nice. She then schooled me on the Color Station, incase I ever wanted to get my hair colored. Then she took me to the wash room. This is a dimly lit room with soothing therapy music in the background. Here I sat down, leaned back and let her do her shampoo/​massage magic all over my head! She used the minty shampoo that makes your head really cold. She massaged my head very slowly and methodically for at least 10 minutes. After washing the shampoo out, she sat me up and gave me a neck massage and a shoulder massage. It was FANTASTIC! She then took me to the chair and went to town on the hair cut, being very particular and sculptural with her sheers and blades. She took time and really thought about it. We had some chit-​chat, banter, if you will. Then she took me back to the wash room to rinse the lose hair. No salon has ever done that for me. After she rinsed my hair, she put a very warm cloth over my face to steam my face. She pressed it on my face, did a little face massage, and wiped my face. She took me back to the chair, totally styled my new dew, and I then went to put my shirt back on.
This whole EXPERIENCE was only $ 35 dollars, I tipped $ 10. You can get varying priced cuts depending on who you use and what exactly you want. If you don’t have anywhere you go regularly for hair cuts/​color/​styles or you don’t like your current place, go here. Do yourself a favor and go here. My sister in law has been cutting my hair for over 6 years and she is THE BOMB! For real, she is amazing and I trust her. But she has moved to Texas and I can’t use her anymore. I was worried about where to go and I am SO glad I went to Arcs. When this sister in law is away, this is where I play!

Arcs Salon is the best salon experience I have ever had. I have been to a couple different salons in brookside but decided to try out Arcs sense it’s a little closer to home. If you are looking for a spa experience at a salon price than Arcs is for you! I paid $ 35 and I received a friendly greeting at the door, direction to what my next step was, a tour of the building, offered beverages, full shampoo, head-​neck-​shoulder massage, cut, rinse, and full style! The other salons I have been to are good… they shampoo and give a head massage but I paid the same price at Arcs Salon and received so much more!
The stylist are all friendly and very trendy, reminds me of Urban Outfitters only with tattoos, which is awesome!
I will be returning to Arcs for all my future salon needs.
