A friend of mine has nicknamed this place South-​central mall with all the gang activity and shootings that has happened in the passed year. Really bad for the image but it was comforting to see a bunch of Tukwila police hanging out in the mall. However, the security guards on the other hand… video taping the entrance. Really?
The newly remodeled food court is nice. The options are good for fast food restaurants. The movie theater on the top floor is a nice feature to have in a mall. Also the new restaurants are great — options are nice to have (Duke’s, Joey’s, BJ’s, sushi, Thai, etc.)
The renovated side of the mall (shops) is mainly catered to young adults, teens and kids.
They need to work on the other side of the mall though. The side of the mall where Mervyn’s used to be needs a definite face lift. I don’t go to this mall to shop. I go there to pick up something specific.
