History

Established in 2013.

Dr. Michael Korn purchased the practice from Dr. Dale Petrich in April 2013 and has maintained the same level of care and conservative approach.

Business Owner

Michael Korn received his doctorate of dental surgery from the prestigious University of Southern California School of Dentistry and was nominated by the faculty for «best hand skills» or the Rex Ingraham Award, 2010. He received a Master of Science in Synthetic Organic Chemistry, 2005 and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, 2003 both from Northern Arizona University. Dr. Korn chose dentistry to match his interests, skills and perfectionist personality. In dentistry, Dr. Korn is able to make a lasting impression on the health, wellness and happiness of people around him.

Dr. Korn was drawn to the geography and climate of the Great Northwest to raise his family. He became a voracious volunteer at Swedish Community Specialty Clinic (SCSC) performing full mouth extractions. In November, 2014, Dr. Korn was recognized as «Volunteer of the Year» by Seattle King County Dental Foundation for his free surgical work there.

I haven’t been to the dentist in many years because I was very anxious at dentist and embarrassed about my teeth. The staff was wonderful in keeping me relaxed. Everyone from Dr. Korn himself and down to the receptionist were amazing. I had 5 teeth extracted yesterday and am feeling great today. They managed the pain very well there and what I was sent home with too. They even paid for my über to get home since I couldn’t drive. What a wonderful group of people!

Dr Korn and his team are extremely skilled, kind and very helpful. They spend a lot of time
explaining clearly what to expect before and after the appointment. I made my first visit last month and I have decided to see Dr Korn for my family’s future dental visits. Flexible scheduling, very accessible staff, flawless treatment and overall great service.

Who likes going to the dentist… I certainly am not the biggest fan of it! That being said, I am super happy I found DDS Korn. He and his team rule!
The Staff: (yes all of them) are always super happy and very helpful when you call to make appointments or when you come into the office. I like that they have really early time spots available for those of us who work banker’s hours that make it convenient to pop in before work to get a cleaning or other work done.
Hours currently showing open on Tue-​Thurs 7am-​6pm & Friday 8am-​2pm. The hygienist always have helpful tips and are very gentle if you have sensitive teeth like I do that is important!
The Office: Very clean and comfortable.
I have been nothing but impressed every time I have come in for a cleaning or when I have needed a crown. All of their work is spot on and I highly recommend if you are in need of a dentist to come here.

I set an appointment at Michael Korn’s clinic because part of my bottom gum was coming off. I was so worried but the doctor and all the staff made me feel welcome and secure. I was told there was nothing to worry about and I was given a thorough explanation of what was happening to my gums. I had to return for several deep cleanings and was treated like I was at a spa. I was sad when I heard that the original person taking care of my teeth left but the other two cleaners that took over were just as professional and kind.
I was given a lot of helpful advice, I was told to get a water flosser and with the way my teeth are placed in my mouth that is an excellent idea that no one told me about before. I never even knew there was prescription mouthwash!
I have one appointment left just to check how my gums are doing. For the first time ever my gums don’t bleed when I brush my teeth and they feel realty healthy.

I’ll confess: I went to Dr. Korn because of a free whitening coupon in Val-​pak. What I experienced at his office blew me away: for the first time ever, actual *care* in a dental office.
For starters, Dr. Korn and all (!) of his assistants have amazing bedside manner. They are kind, solicitous, gregarious without being overbearing, and take all concerns seriously, however big or small.
The doctor particularly excels at collaborative care, which is non-​negotiable for me. I’ve never been to a dentist so consciously avoiding the condescension that’s rife in dental offices. At Dr. Korn’s, there was none of the usual, «Let me show you how to floss your teeth» crap, just a gentle inquiry about how my flossing and brushing were going. I’m 35 years old. If I’m not flossing and brushing appropriately, it’s by choice. Dr. Korn and his assistants let me make that choice without shaming or patronizing.
Oh, and did I mention that the tooth cleaning was as gentle as any I’ve had in the roughly six dentists I’ve seen? Five stars across the board. I’m glad I live close, but I’d drive from North Seattle or Tacoma for this kind of care. So thankful to have a different kind of dental care.

I was blown away by my visit to Dr. Korn’s office. I expressed going in my anxiety towards dental visits. I quickly realized I had nothing to worry about. I was able to sit down with Dr. Korn and ask lots of questions. By the time I got to the dental chair I was more then at ease. The appointment went so well. I was shocked at how they handled everything. It was unlike any dental exam I had ever experienced. If you’re looking for nock your socks off professionalism and reliable service I highly recommend Dr Korn!

I have been a patient of Dr. Korn since he took over for Dr. Petrich a few years ago. The staff at this dental facility are very friendly and very accommodating. They always greet evryone with a smile and make everyone feel comfortable. I couldn’t be happier.
When I got my wisdom teeth removed recently he was there with me every step of the way and made sure I was as comfortable as I could be. I had an excellent experience and would recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist.

My experience with Dr. Korn and his staff was great! I appreciated everyone’s cheerful mood even though I was the last appointment of the day and I’m sure everyone was ready to go home. The whole team was wonderful-​Kim, Elmira, Dr.Korn. I had considered switching dentists after Dr. Petrich left since I don’t even live in the area anymore, but having met everyone today I think I will stay! I decided to schedule an appointment with Dr. Korn after reading the previous reviews and his educational background. I’m so glad I did. I have never had such a wonderful experience at the dentist. The whole staff was compassionate and knowledgeable. Kim did the most thorough cleaning and polishing I have ever experienced. Dr. Korn sat and talked with me, while answering all my questions. I felt as the whole staff truly cared wanted to get to know me. I love the online appointment scheduling and email reminders!

Highly recommend for any dental needs and cosmetic dental!
Overall Fantastic. No complaints at all. The staff are congenial, friendly, and professional. The facilities are top-​notch with modern equipment (the machine for panoramic x-​rays of your teeth is awesome!) and equipped with a ceramic lab in-​house. You just don’t see that everywhere.
Dr. Korn is down to earth and really knows his trade. He walked me through each thing and explained any questions I had in a great way, technical but not to the point where it was way over my head. He really cared what he was doing and what was best for my health.
Location is great as well with it being right near the Southcenter Mall and easy access to both I-​5 and I-​405.
I sometimes dread being in the chair but my dental hygienist made me feel relaxed and comfortable the whole time and was very detail oriented and knowledgeable. I even got to pick what music I liked with Pandora during my cleaning. :) It’s extras like this that really make the place shine brighter than the rest; just like my teeth when I leave!

Highly recommended!
PROS: Dr. Korn and staff are genuinely caring, calming, knowledgeable, efficient, flexible, thorough, personable and friendly yet professional and serious about their work. Also, the office is always clean and inviting.
CONS: There aren’t more dentists like Dr. Korn. I honestly tried to find a con and I can’t think of one.
Dr. Korn and his staff are awesome. I went in for my first visit and Dr. Korn sat down and had a relaxed conversation with me, out of the dental chair, about my expectations, concerns, dental history and his background. It was definitely a more inviting approach than I’ve had with past dental consultations.
I have had 3 appointments so far and another scheduled for today. Every experience has been great. They always take precautions to make sure I am comfortable and procedures are done thoroughly. Anytime I experience any discomfort with Dr. Korn or staff, it is immediately addressed.
They are knowledgeable and care about my whole health. The dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth, was gentle and gave me some great tools and info on how to better care for my and my children’s teeth and overall health.
They are incredibly flexible in finding appointment times that work with my busy schedule. The dental assistant and receptionists are all very sweet and helpful.
I can be a bit of a worry-​wart sometimes and had some operational work done (which The Dr and staff handled beautifully). When I mentioned a concern I had with Dr. Korn about my recovery, he went the extra mile to check on it, just to be safe, and I was just fine.
The chapstick and aspartame and sugar-​free, xylitol gum are great little exit treats for both me and my kids.

I just recently moved to the Seattle area and was in need of establishing a regular dentist. I’ve moved around quite a bit in the last 10 years and have seen many dentists, but I have to say that Dr. Korn and his staff are amazing– there was no wait time, the gal who did my xrays did them super quick, and Dr. Korn explained things to me about my teeth that no other dentist ever had. The hygienist was extremely good– usually they are either poking or digging at your gums nonstop but I didn’t have that issue at all. I have nothing but good things to say about this office. Plus you get free gum and chapstick at the end!
UPDATE: Had to go back for 2 fillings. Dr. Korn was super gentle with the anesthetic. I absolutely hate needles and I barely felt him poke me. I also have an issue with my jaw that requires me to take frequent breaks from holding it open, and he let me relax as much as I needed to and also offered me a bite block which no one has EVER done. I am highly impressed– I no longer dread having to go to the dentist!

I highly endorse this office and everyone in it! Even before I first walked in the door, I had a good sense of the hospitable and professional nature of this place. They worked hard to get me an appointment that worked with my schedule, and did a great job reminding me to make sure I didn’t miss it.
My first appointment involved many X-​rays and a general evaluation. The staff did a great job of making the process as comfortable as possible, and Doctor Korn did an outstanding job of walking me through the evaluation and discussing my options. Unfortunately, those options involved filling cavities.
My second visit was to get the fillings. Like you, I hate getting fillings. However, the relative comfort and speed with which The fillings were done spoke volumes about the skills of the doctor and his assistants. By the time my next meal rolled around, I had just about forgotten about the fillings; no discomfort whatsoever!
I have been so pleased by my experience here that I am coming back to get some totally elective cosmetic work done. After almost a decade of living around here, I finally have found a dentist I am happy to return to!

I’ve only been a patient of Dr. Korn for a few months but the experience so far has been amazing!
I have pretty bad anxiety over going to the dentist and was referred to him by a specialist. He was very understanding and willing to work with me to make sure I was comfortable for the work I need to have done. My whole experience with him and his staff has been pleasurable and I’m not nervous to have more work done with him. Will definitely recommend to family and friends.
