Froula Alarm Systems is dedicated to providing outstanding customer service for our customer’s security systems and their other low voltage needs in the Greater Puget Sound.

We install, service, test and monitor home security systems, home fire alarms, access control, home camera systems, and home entertainment systems. We provide security systems, fire alarms, access control, camera systems for commercial clients as well.

We also provide complete testing for life safety systems including extinguishers, fire sprinklers, and water backflow prevention devices.

History

Established in 1972.

For forty years, our customers have consistently come back to us along with their family, friends and businesses. Founded in 1972, Froula Alarms emplyees hold varied licenses and certifications, including the highest in their fields. They have long histories in the industry, nearly 50% of them have more than 25 yrs experience.

We’re also industry leaders with members of our staff working with the National Fire Protection Association to write code for the Fire Protection Handbook used by fire marshals, building inspectors and contractors across the country.

We are a locally-​owned and operated company. Froula is a member of the Electronic Security Association of Washington, representing both security and fire alarm. The company is also a member of the National Fire Protection Association and the Better Business Bureau.

We’ve been using Froula since 1998. We are not only happy with the support we get for an alarm system that was installed prior to us moving in here (1997), but also for all the «low voltage» work they have done running CAT5 cables, additional phone lines, and making repairs (sometimes installing wireless sensors) when contractors we’ve hired have detached, hidden, broken, or cross-​wired connections during renovations.
Extra points to Dave today who had to deal with getting a new phone cable through a misaligned header and various obstacles for a new home run to a relocated office.

Update: I called 24 hours after my experience with Sydney and was answered by a customer service manager named Susan. She seemed concerned about my experience and said she’d examine the recorded conversation, talk to Sydney’s manager, and have me contacted by her within 24 hours. Until then I was ready to hear how they were going to address Sydney’s behavior. I heard nothing for 72 hours, and so decided to post my experience for everyone to see. I’m done with these people. Like I told Susan: «I’d rather have no alarm company then having to pick up the phone to deal with someone like Sydney again.»
She and Froula don’t deserve my business, and I’ll actively recommend against anyone to pay them for anything.

I had Froula install my system when I bought my house in 2000. Over the years they have done upgrades and changes for me. They are always prompt and professional, informed and make good suggestions to do what I want to have the alarm system to do. I think they are probably the most expensive and what I want now is outside my price range BUT they knew exactly what I was trying to accomplish and the best way to get it done for the maximum coverage I wanted. I did have other lower bids but in no way did I trust that they knew what I wanted or would stand by their work. Froula does. First rate all the way.

Extremely unprofessional. First, they refused to visit for an assessment at a reasonable time and chose a time of their own convenience. Then, they changed the chosen time at a few hours notice. Finally, they called 15 minutes before the scheduled time and cancelled the appointment. All without any apology for wasting the potential customer’s workday.
If they are so unprofessional and slow on providing a simple quote, how can anyone trust that they will take timely action when the security alarm actually goes off?
They also quoted $ 1600 for an initial installation for a standard home and unabashedly admitted that they know they are way more expensive than ADT and others.

We’ve been ADT customers for 27 years — but in January we finally got fed up with the poor customer service and ‘big company’ mentality.
We did some checking and found Froula Alarm Services. They’re a local, family-​owned /​operated alarm company with LOCAL monitoring that is priced cheaper than ADT and others.
BEST PART — Froula did an entire house retrofit complete with motions, cameras, wireless monitoring, Internet access via iPhone, etc. — and did a great job. Ours was a difficult installation, but they were diligent in ironing out all the details to make sure it worked properly — at their expense even when they needed to provide extra equipment not foreseen in the estimate due to RF idiosyncrasies in our house. We’ve had a couple minor tech issues which they immediately covered under warranty and resolved promptly.
We’re very particular customers who are willing to pay a little extra for excellent service and attention to detail. Froula has been wonderful to work with and their people are genuine, fair, prompt, and committed to making everything right.
We highly recommend them for a LOCALLY monitored (meaning, they know where Ballard is… unlike ADT who thinks it’s in Wisconsin somewhere) company with outstanding customer service. Thanks to Kelly Earle and his entire team. Nice job guys!

Great people, honest, straight forward and are willing to discuss pros and cons of using their services. No pressure. The bid was clear and very easy to understand. The contractual language was minimal, (not six pages of fine print). The installers were neat, clean and professional. They corrected a math mistake I did not catch, in my favor. They took they time to make sure we were «trained» on the operation of the system. I feel like the support and customer service is a 10. They care! One item was over looked while the bid was made and they made it right, installing the oversight items for free. Sure, you can pay less per month going with a national firm, well except you really pay more over the contract! Froula Alarm Systems are what every company should strive to be. You have the choice to have monitoring or not, by the way. Very satisfied.

After a home break-​in earlier this year we looked into several alarm companies and I can’t say enough how happy we are with Froula. Kiss ADT, Brinks, etc. goodbye, its a waste of money. I also interviewed over 8 local alarm companies and none of them could touch what Froula offered. Froula is a local business and their prices, install quality, and overall service are the best I have ever seen. Everyone was extremely polite, professional, and a pleasure to work with — VERY highly recommend.
