Aqueous Solutions dug a drainage field, installed a sump pump and placed barrier in my crawl space almost four years ago. I’ve had my system checked regularly each year with no issues. Last year I had them take care of some duct work under my home which has proven to not be so good. Not only has my duct work failed and fallen, but they’ve chosen not to honor their work. I would not recommend them simply because if their failure to stand by their work. I’m very concerned what will transpire now that the warrantee on my system is up and am actively looking for another company to take over.

Brokers: Run don’t walk! This company cost me a deal and a client by no showing an appointment. All they had was an «I’m sorry. Would you like to reschedule?» Never rely on this company! I would give them 0 stars if I could.

My new construction, on a small island, was having major flooding issues in the crawlspace. After weeks of being attempting to deal with the problem myself, I gave up. I called 5 companies in the area for help. Aqueous Solutions and one other were the only ones willing to take a look. Aqueous did it for free, the competitor wanted to charge $ 250.
The estimator, Robert, was early for the ferry, paid his own way across even after I offered to cover it, and didn’t complain about being stuck on the island for 3 hours for the next ferry. The first estimate was a moon shot, but there was no hard sale and Robert was very helpful working with us to find a solution that met both our needs and our budget.
They were left a real mess. Short crawl, 6″ of standing water sitting on mud, and the only access was inside the house. No problem. They got in, got out, and cleaned up afterwards. A job they set planned 4 days for took only 2 and they even left a temporary pump going to keep things dry until I could get out there and set up something more permanent.
Big company with a small business approach. If only there were more like that…

IF YOU SEE THIS COMPANY LISTED. RUN THE OTHER WAY!!! Absolutely horrible company and business practices. First off had them come out to give me an estimate for my side shed that was sinking. Guy comes (nice guy btw) gives me an estimate which I begrudgingly go with. He has me sign documents, then tells me he’ll email me my copy… guess what didn’t happen. So now I have a check for a downpayment out there with out any receipt. My fault completely but still. Anyways, I’m told 2 weeks which turns into almost a month, which is right in the middle of my vacation. So I have my dad go over during the installation.
My dad calls me and tells me that they can’t do the job because the estimator decided on the wrong equipment, now they’re telling it will cost an extra $ 2000 bucks! I said no thanks and that I wanted a full refund PLUS a copy of my paperwork. It took 3 more phone calls to get the paperwork, then almost a month for my check, which they said had been sent, which ok, no problem. I asked them to cancel that check and resend it. Now they want to charge me for cancelling a check that I didn’t receive.
I told them no I am not ok with that and that they need to give me my full refund, which they then reply with wait one more week to see if the check shows up and if not, they’ll re-​issue me a check without charging me. I said ok, because the girl on the phone WAS doing her best to help me out.
Another week goes by and still no check, so I drive up to there location to speak with the manager or owner. I am met by a woman who says that none of the deals that I had made with the other girl were valid and that I would still have to incur the $ 30 dollar fine because the bank would charge them to cancel the check and that I am lucky that I’m not being charged more since the workers had already come out to my house. Even though no work was done.
I again told the lady no I’m not ok with that, and she replies to me with «well we’re not rich here» inferring that I am. Which I reply with «If you charge me for your screw up then I will go to small claims court out of principal» She replies «Then we’ll see you in court…» evidently she thinks that I’m bluffing.
So now for my long story in short form:
bad business model
rude upper management
bad bid on work needed
couldn’t meet their own timelines
and just one BIG headache
You’re better off going elsewhere.

I called this company to ask for someone to come out and provide a quote. I was only looking for someone that could come out this week. I knew that finding someone to do this would be difficult so I did not begrudge them when they said they didn’t have anyone until next week.
I said I wasn’t interested BUT if I couldn’t find what I wanted I would call THEM back.
Now, they’ve called me every single day since and have also emailed me. YAY… Seems a bit desperate if you ask me… which makes me think they are not as busy as they claim.
RUN AWAY!
Well, unless you like being harassed, that is.

Please stay away from these scammers. I had the work done which was OK. I never occupied the home but instead sold the property after the renovation. They didn’t honor the warranty for the new owner because they weren’t the person who paid for the system. They promise a warranty but scam you over technicalities.
I highly recommend against this company. I work in the building industry and have never come across someone who works like this.

Definitely skip these guys. HARD, HARD SELL of stuff you don’t need at a price you don’t want to pay. Guy spent entire time bashing my new house, the builder, and my inspector. Complete pushy used car salesman. Asked if I had gotten other estimates. I had. By PermaDry.
So this dude goes into my crawl space. He finally emerges and starts scrolling through the pictures of my crawlspace. Then he says, «And here’s the PermaDry estimate». WHILE I WASN’T LOOKING, HE HAD GONE THROUGH MY PAPERS AND TOOK A PICTURE OF MY OTHER ESTIMATE!
I had him leave.
I went with American Crawlspace. The estimator, Jan was awesome. The price was way less than what Aqueous quoted, the work was done the following day and was quite nicely done.
This place is a joke.

We had the systemed installed back in 2006, and so far it worked fine. It did not completely solve the problem, but it did improve.
The owner and his wife were nice, but they may be too busy to respond to me. Normally all the issues can be resolved well if I have a chance to talk to them. Their people are various. It really depends whom you are dealing with. Once we installed the system, we need to pay for annual service $ 250 + tax to keep up the warranty. This is not a small amount considering we are paying every year. They increase the rate from time to time. Besides, they will «recommend» you to add more features or «encourage» to repair something every time they come for annual service. The annual service is only about to come over and to see if everything is working. Any incidental work will be charged for additional rate, so you may end up paying more and more for this. This annual service, charging high rate and providing little service, is probably the worst part of the system.

In my opinion — skip this guy. He took 3.5 hours of my time to give me a ‘free’ estimate on my basement. In the end, the price was double the price I paid. He kept adding features and things my basement needed… all this while bashing every single company he competes with in the area. After spending all that time at my house, he never followed up! What?!

It all started with a remark about a crack at the top of the wall in the kitchen. Someone said «maybe the foundation is sinking» and that started the worry. So I fly up from California to take a look as this could be a serious problem. When I went under the house, nothing looked out of the ordinary but than again, I wasn’t an expert.
So we called an expert. We had Robert from Aqueous Solutions come out on a Saturday morning (1 star off the bat) as we were concerned about my mother’s house sinking. At first we had the preconceptions that he was going to sell us something whether we needed it or not. Robert did alot to ease the concerns about the house even before he went into the crawlspace. (2^nd star earned) he explained that over the years houses «cure» or dry out from construction. Once he suited up and went under the house he inspected each support beam, post and footing. Robert also showed us where moisture is coming in through the vent and even found a spot where water was coming in over the seal plate. (star 3) After finishing the inspection, Robert stated «I cannot find a need for any of the products we offer.» (star 4) with a sigh of relief for my Mom and myself. Robert was very personable, knowledgeable and professional the whole time he was here. (5^th star earned) We liked his approach of finding other possible solutions before going to the worst case scenario. We determined that the cracks were not a structural issue and just the house curing.
Thanks to Robert from Aqueous Solutions for his knowledge and putting us at ease. You guys just got another fan.

Halfway through our second winter with the system in place, and no matter what mother nature has dumped on us, our basement has stayed dry, and we’re now planning to finish our basement this year.
The way the system is designed, it actually catches the bulk of the groundwater in the sump basin long before the ground get saturated enough to get into the perimeter drain, and on a few occasions this winter, when water was actually flowing through the drains, we were resting easy that we wouldn’t be up all night with the shop vac.
I still have to sit on four stars for just one reason: in order to keep the warranty active, you have to have the system inspected and serviced annually. And at around $ 200 a pop, that adds a pretty significant amount to the cost of ownership over the life of your house, what with it being a lifetime warranty and all.
We just budget for it along with our home insurance and regular maintenance costs. Just figure out how much it’d cost you to refinish your basement if the system ever fails and you let your warranty lapse, and suddenly it doesn’t seem quite so spendy.

Paid them 10K to waterproof my basement so we could finish it. Followed the plan that their estimator laid out, and he guaranteed to solve the problem. However their system is not draining properly. They have ignored me and my lawyer (my lawyer called everyday for a week). I am being forced to file a lawsuit just to get them to respond to me. As soon as you pay them, they refuse to provide you any customer service. I have great pictures and video of my flooded basement. What good is a transferrable, lifetime warranty if the basement is still wet and ABS refuses to offer help?
