Sunday, faucet failed. It looked like a CSI investigation in the kitchen, there was so much water spraying about.
Monday 7am, called Jeff.
Monday 11am we knew what was going to happen. By 4pm we had the new faucet and not a minute of routine was lost.
Jeff is the man who is the excellent handyman.
I can recommend him 100%.

Old school hardware store, just like when your granpappy was a kid. They don’t have everything, but if you wanted everything and bad customer service, go to a big box store. Here you get individualized service.
Need a shovel, or a single screw, or need to bend a pipe, or make a potato gun? They have you covered.
Its worth going here first before heading to those chain stores. You find random tools and no-​name gadgets you wouldn’t get anywhere else.

I love old time hardware stores, and Merithews fits the bill. What’s even better is that it is only a few miles away from home. The store is crammed with tons of stuff for home repairs & do-​it-​yourselfers. I sometimes browse around just to get an idea of what to do for my next home improvement project.
The guys who run this store are down to earth and helpful giving good advice when asked about how to replace a part or install some equipment. I tried to get keys duplicated at other places, but the duplicated keys would not work. The same keys duplicated at Merithew’s worked like a charm.
I try to buy as much stuff in stores that are part of the community. It’s to the interest of the community to buy locally. The more money is spent at the local stores, the more money stays in the community in order to maintain a vibrant place to live.

I was there today… and all I can say is WOW!!! They were so nice, helpful and the prices were fantastic! There price on cut window glass was cheaper than any of the large stores and the home town feeling was fantastic! The owner and his side kick played with my 2 year old while we waited for our glass to be cut… I can’t rave about this place enough! I am so happy to have found this gem in my neighborhood! yippie! Thanks!

Recently moved into the area and needed to make my horridly bland kitchen cupboards look nice, so I pulled up to this little hardware store right down the street to see what they could do for me. Immediately, greeted by two men.
The store seemed well kept and appeared to have a plethora of things I’ll never learn how to use correctly — like tape; I’m a freakin’ girl when it comes to fixing things.
I’ll get to the point — found what I needed! The helper took me throughout the store and gave me everything I needed (nothing I didn’t) to get the job done: paint brushes/​rollers; trays; protective plastic covering; things; stuff; painting tips; some confidence, and other stuff.
They mixed the paint with a complicated mixer and it looked so yummy I wanted to eat it, but I didn’t, cuz it’s paint. I told him it was my first painting job and he laughed at me a little. He thought I was kidding… Color: a mild earthy green — FABULOUSSSS!
