Hertz Rent A Car

I’d like to be able to change my rating soon. This is the second time I’ve attempted to Rent-​A-​Car from this location. Once I had to cancel, and today I found no cars available even though I had made an online reservation.
The clerk told me that this morning they had nine reservations for today and no cars. The customers had to wait while cars were shuttled up to Tujunga from a Glendale location. At least those nine got a car.
For me– waiting was not an option as I had an important appointment in Reseda at 4 PM. I had made a reservation around 2 PM to pick up a car at 2:30. The online reservation system looks at all the location for this owner to determine whether there is a car available.
So if you make a reservation for pick up at the Tujunga Hertz, I suggest you call The location directly, a day in advance, to be sure they’re going to have your car on hand if time is important to you!
Even with my discount it was a steep price of $ 43 for the day which eighth that wasn’t so bad.

Renting with them through insurance went smoothly. They even picked me up from my location and brought me back to Hertz. I’ve had the car longer than anticipated because I’m dealing with an autobody shop that doesn’t honor time frames. Back to Hertz, yesterday evening I noticed the flat tire symbol light up. It was too late to call Hertz because the shop was closed. I phoned them in the morning to inform them of the situation. The employee, Leo who answered the phone didn’t seem concerned, and told me that it was because of the cold weather that the flat tire light was on. I wanted to ask him what one thing had to do with the other but I refrained from doing so and plan on taking the car back today. It’s become difficult to drive uphill! Which has become a worrying problem for me and I no longer feel safe driving the vehicle because of the lag time it takes for the car to get moving on tires that need air! Overall I wouldn’t recommend them but aside from the car troubles I noted and apathetic employee, Leo it was an okay experience.

Very low to none with vehicle selection, over priced… if you drive down east on foothill about 1 mile, Enterprise has far more better selection and reasonable price!!!

I’ve used this location twice in the last month, once for a weekend and the second time for two weeks. I’ve dealt with three customer service reps, and two of three were really nice. The other. Well, hope they find a better job where they seem happier.
My MAIN complaint is this place needs more than one person in the office at all times. Yes, it’s true. They leave signs on the door when they’re out, and it’s anything but fun to hang outside with nowhere to sit. To top it off, a line of one or two people forms so you don’t want to wait in your car if you’re already late. You have to stay in line.
Now I don’t get angry with the employee, because they’re not the ones who set the schedule. I’m sure they would prefer some help. Management seems to schedule one person per day to attend customers, answer calls, inspect vehicles, take cars to get washed, refueled, and serviced, and I’m sure that same person needs a lunch hour. Not very practical.
It makes it an inconvenient and unnecessarily extended process. This place would be great with another desk and another employee, especially considering how large and awkwardly empty the office is. You’d think they’d setup a comfortable waiting area on the other half of the empty office. Nope.
Although I’m a gold plus member, I might have to try Enterprise up the street.

Do not rent from this location!!! The staff is very unprofessional! Very rude! Very judgmental! Not helpful! This is my second time renting at this location! I will rent right across at enterprise!

Giving this one star is being too generous. First of all, I went there but the door was closed. I waited for 30 mins for the guy to show up from wherever he was coming from. This is around 3 pm btw. He comes to unlocked the door (he could see I’m standing there through the glass door) he didn’t even open the door. After walking in, he didn’t even acknowledge me. Customer service is basically a zero. Second of all, it’s too overpriced. I wanted to rent a car, I was shocked by the price. It came to over $ 300 per day. I rented the same car at Enterprise for half that price!!! I do NOT recommend this place to anyone. If you want to rent a car find the closest Enterprise, trust me you and your pocket will be much happier.
