Specialties

For 19 years Zócalo has been the destination for fine Mexican and European imports. The owners, a husband and wife team, buy directly from numerous artisans all over the world. Zócalo’s 12,000 sq. ft. showroom features an extensive collection of mesquite & alder furniture which is the cornerstone of their business. Their inventory includes folk art pieces by renowned artists from the «Great Masters» book, an assortment of Talavera and many regional styles of pottery. They feature a wide selection of handmade textiles from Mexico & Guatemala, hand tooled leather, antiques, artifacts and fine iron chandeliers. An impressive selection of grand hand carved wood and tin repoussé mirrors decorate the walls. Their collection of religious art is unparalleled in the southwest including antique oil retablos, crosses, rosaries, European & Mexican paintings, porcelain and wood carved saints and vintage fonts. From the minute you step inside you know you have entered a space where the inventory has been hand selected and many pieces are museum quality. Custom made furniture is a popular option. Zócalo’s inventory changes frequently with containers arriving from Mexico and Europe.
