Peter Z.

Business Owner

Peter has been involved in Arizona’s political and public policy arena since 1972. A former television journalist, he served as creative director and later, general manager of the Tucson office of regional public affairs firm, WFC Westcom. There he worked with clients such as Arizona Public Service, The Arizona Daily Star, Pima Association of Governments, the City of Tucson and a number of homebuilding and development companies. And, of course, a wide variety of election campaigns.

In 1989 he formed Zimmerman Public Affairs (formerly Zimmerman & Associates), a full-​service, award-​winning marketing communications firm. The company has built a solid base of clients that turn to it for public affairs consulting, public relations, issue management, advertising, and marketing consulting.
