The Busy Body

I was gifted a body wrap from my husband for our anniversary– I have had massages before, but have never had a wrap. The whole experience was very relaxing and moisturizing– something our hot and dry desert is always working against! I selected the scent of body scrub and lotion I wanted for my treatment (lavender), and was draped in hot towels– then wrapped up like a little baked potato or chipotle burrito to lock in the moisture. The potato/​burrito was my favorite part!

I love The Busy Body! Daria is amazing and her knowledge and experience shows. I always leave feeling a million times better than when I arrived. Daria is able to flex around my various injuries and restrictions and she tailors our sessions to my needs. My stress levels have dramatically decreased since I started seeing Daria regularly. I highly recommend The Busy Body — I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I have nothing but WONDERFUL things to say about The Busy Body. One of the best, if not the BEST massage I’ve ever received. I have been to multiple massage therapists before, but this was an experience unlike any other. When you walk in, you are warmly greeted. There is a very comfy-​cozy vibe. I filled out my paperwork very quickly and was taken back to the massage room. Before starting my therapist, Stephanie Manion, got to know me and asked me about my injuries. The consultation took about 30 minutes or so, which was fantastic because she really got to know my underlying issues and answered all of my questions. I was injured in a car accident so I wasn’t just going for a relaxation massage. Stephanie was VERY knowledgeable about anatomy and explained why I was having the pain I was feeling. The massage was perfect. The table was soft and comfortable, it felt like lying on a cloud. She used a heated blanket and a non-​scented oil, which left my skin nice and soft even after I went home! I didn’t have to ask her to adjust her pressure once, it was firm but not overbearing or painful. The massage was completely tailored to my specific needs and she really got into all of the places that caused me pain. Other masseuses have not been able to reach those spots or really hit them head on, but Stephanie did. As we talked she was so genuine and kind and whenever conversation grew quiet, it was a peaceful pause. Not awkward in the least. She made sure I took a bottle of water home and shook my hand before I left. I can not wait to go in again next week! If you live in Tucson and you need a massage, do not go anywhere but here. It would honestly be a waste of your time and money. No one could help you more then them. The Busy Body is by far the best!!!

Yesterday I received a fantastic massage from Stephanie. It wasn’t until this morning that I noticed the full effect of that massage. Stephanie worked out a lot of kinks out of my neck and shoulder area; there were a lot of them since I have not had a massage in months. Thank you Stephanie!

As a still active, aging, 56 year old athlete, I experience a variety of ailments (e.g. neck, back, shoulder and hip). I have had close to 100 massages in my lifetime, so I am very discerning. My therapist, Stephanie, was very talented and professional. She listened to my concerns/​instructions and proceeded to give me one of my best massages! I would highly recommend her and The Busy Body.

I had my first hot rock massage by Jennifer at The Busy Body spa studio and it wasn’t what I expected, it was much, much more. It’s basically a Swedish relaxing massage done with hot rocks held in the therapist’s hands. This allows much more heat to be directly placed onto and into the skin while having a relaxing massage. I had just finished a 2000 mile road trip and my body was stressed with holding the driving position for such long periods, but this massage worked all the tension out of my body and neck and I felt like a new person. I almost didn’t want to leave the facility because I felt so relaxed, almost like a stick of wilting butter.
I highly recommend Jennifer as she has a rich pedigree, working at Marival and being very comfortable and experienced with using the rocks. Would go there on a regular basis if my budget could alot what is already a great price that she charges. I will go there for another session when i can save up the money or get one gifted to me.

UPDATE: Jennifer is no longer there, but there are many good therapists and the owner Daria is professional and runs the business the way it should be. I’ve had one hot rock session with Jessica and she did a good job. Still came out feeling like a wilted stick of butter! :)

I’ve visited both Jennifer and Samantha, and am a returning client. These therapists each have their own style and flair. I would recommend either one for a relaxing and beneficial massage.

I have been seeing Stephanie Manion for several years. She is amazing! I am a massage therapist myself and am very picky about receiving massage. Stephanie is extremely knowledgeable about the body and massage treatment. I went to her to help my injuries after a car accident as well as going to her for maintenance and there is simply nobody better than her! She also is very knowledgable about fitness and can help from an extremely experienced educated standpoint with workout and training needs as well. Stephanie is also has a warm and bubbly personality and will can really put you at ease. Stephanie is simply top notch.

Stephanie Manion LMP has been monumental in helping me work through some pain and spasm issues that I was having in my neck, arms, and hands. As an LMP myself, I found her work to be invaluable in me continuing to assist my clients towards the same ends. As a personal trainer, as well as having a large bounty of anatomical and physiological training and study under her belt, her understanding of the body, the way it works and moves is beyond compare. I would recommend her work to anyone.

I see Stephanie Manion. I love her. I am a super busy lady who is very physically active and have only found a couple of therapists who really get how to treat an athlete and she’s the only female I’ve found in that caliber.
Stephanie does [know how to treat an athlete] and well, she is one so that makes sense. She knows how to undo those tight muscles and work on things that need attention. I was even given homework before our next appt.
I’ll be seeing her regularly as part of my preventive health-​care plan!
