This is a update as of 9/15/2015.I just found out yelp is under investigation. Because they are not keeping up with our sites. T and j pet grooming has been getting some great review and yelp is putting them in a none recommended file i as the owner I am very upset with this my long time client’s are upset with this our clients write good review for a reason so new people can see we do a great job and the day somebody write a review about us they take it that and put it in a none recommended file. so I have turn yelp in to the BBB for more investigation on this I want them to fix it or we will no longer use yelp for our reviews if you want more up to date information on our store please visit our Facebook page thank u

**update** — please beware that this company works with absolutely no ethics. The response to my review was filled with lies and excuses.
After much reconsideration I am giving them one star because I do not want to misdirect consumers looking for affordable groomers in the area.
Original review: I give them two stars instead of one for their flexible availability and affordable rates. Customer service and skill are sub-​standard at this establishment. I regret not doing more research. I was given no explanation for why my dogs’ legs were shaved bald and tails had a straight cut, even though I requested the dogs not be cut at all. Their nails were not trimmed as offered in the grooming packet. I did not fill out any paperwork or get a receipt after paying for this service. I thought about getting my concerns addressed, but I decided against it when the worker started cursing loudly because she could not get the harness on one of my dogs. Sometimes it’s just better to pay a little more for professional service; hard lesson learned.

New to the area we decided to give T & J Pet Grooming a try. I called to make an appointment the owner took the time to hear how I wanted my little ones groomed. I was in the next day. We arrived early to pick them up. She promptly greeted us and readied the one done for us to sit with, while she finished with the other. When all done both looked exactly how they should! I’m giving 5 stars well deserved. She also has prices that one can afford. This is an added bonus in keeping our precious dogs looking great!

As you can see by the reply of the owner they are clearly incompetent. Beware! She keeps saying she is going to sue me for slander. What she needs to understand is that it’s not slander when it is the TRUTH!

Again, more excuses. Julie was not the one to groom my dogs. I know that for a fact because Terri told me she physically did it herself. Reading through the bad reviews and then reading Terri’s responses has me in stitches.

I don’t even think they deserve the one star but whatever… Let me start with the fact I was late, I did call and apologize. Let’s finish with… Well I guess they call you when she is done, I was running late… The owner was upset cause they close at 12, as she said «if I read their website» fine. The attitude… She isn’t very pleasant. Then I get there after speeding and see that my dogs hair cut is blotched all over. Ok family owned, I try to support small businesses… This is beyond the most horrible haircut. She has ever gotten, oh and let’s just say that if your answering Machine says 1! It’s freaking 1! Lazy people. Oh and she admitted to me she doesn’t waist time, she gets them cut and gone. So let’s just say… No time and no talent. I have never been so upset in my life! I’m gonna spend those extra 10 bucks on my dog. Cause I’m not coming here at all. Her nails were not trimmed and I’m taking her to get everything redone at BARK AVENUE DOG WASH, on pantano & speedway.

I brought my cat here for a «Lion Cut». They did such a superb job the first time, that I brought him back 3 months later for another trim. The second time was even better. My cat is formal ferrel & still somewhat shy. He can also be quite cantankerous! These women were able to keep him calm & happy enough to get the job done with beautiful results. I would highly recommend T & J Pet Grooming for the perfect lion-​styled cut!

I stand by my review and experience, however I am just one person’s opinion. I encourage everyone to decide for themselves. This is a direct cut-​and-​paste.
«Hi u did not tell us about moles on your dogs and we are trained to comment our self to u by rebooking does not mean u have to come to that appt we will call u day before to remind u ane u signed form customer satisfaction now u write a bad review yes we have square but we have to ask if u would like to tip then no signing with style square i have it will send a text to your phone for your amount you paid»

Please people just cut your own dog. The grooming this place does is very much inexperienced.
I took my dog to get a cut thinking I would try a new place, the owner did seem friendly. When I picked my dog up I had no clue what the heck happened to him.
My family and I have had the same type of dogs for 20 years and have NEVER seen work as bad as they did.

This place is horrible!!! I am so mad– just found that two of my dog’s nipples were shaved off! They are now scabbed over and healing–
I have a Scottish Terrier puppy and she was no way even cute close to how a scottie should be cut. I went there due to the price being so good– but remember you get what you pay for!!!

sorry to say but my experience there was lacking good customer service in that the women there are just plain rude. In this day and age, you would think they would be more professional as consumers can go anywhere they please with their hard earned dollars, but when treated with disrespect by a chain smoking nasty attitude person, no way would I ever leave an animal there again.

I had given T&J a low rating the last time I took my two dogs in for grooming.
I removed it when they responded to my issues of being over charged and my little dog not being groomed correctly «due to bad shears.»
I was given 10 dollars back & my next groom for 25.
I picked my dog up and had to sign a form stating that future grooms, there would be a review of the work… because my dog didn’t like his ears being touched. It reminded me of the notes kids bring home from school.
The thing that really get me is my dogs cut looked TERRIBLE, again!
Uneven, unprofessional. I tried to be nice and understanding, but come on, how hard is a groom?
Also, my dog seemed traumatized. He was shaking and threw up when we got home
I will never go back. They are all unprofessional and take no pride in their work

My husband and I took our husky/​malamute mix to t&j. We just moved to Tucson and needed a good place. Our girl does not like water or the dryer and we have had complaints about her from other groomers. T & J were very understanding about her avoidance to water and didn’t seemed phased about it. They explained that they had other dogs of the same breed and understood the aversion to water. When my husband picked her up when she was done she was fluffy and smelled sooo good. She was happy and wagging her tail all over. They used a furminator on her to brush her out. They also brushed her teeth and checked her nails (which didn’t need trimming). The total was a tad high for my blood at $ 50. But they gave us $ 10 off our next visit and made the appointment automatically and said we didn’t have to keep it but it would be good for us to get her brushed out again as it gets warmer. They were very comfortable with our dog and very friendly. We will be keeping our April appt and my bath hating girl is doin just fine :)

Pretty good grooming experience, the only upset was their business hours were very limited, 8:00 — 1:00, which had me rushing to come back to pick up my dog before they closed, my fault for not checking the business hours. My dog’s cut was just what I wanted and they even included teeth brushing for just $ 35 any sized dog. The website mentioned specials for first time customers but the staff had no idea what I was talking about, I feel like there should be a bit more continuity between the website and the staff, Should you find yourself getting your dog groomed here the groomers work off of tips so don’t forget to tip your groomer.

They did a terrible job on my dog. They did not follow my instructions. She is uneven everywhere. She smelled so bad, I had to bathe her myself. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

I had to find a new groomer for my mom’s dog and this place was nearby. I was very impressed with their professionalism. The location on Wrightstown was not fancy in appearance but that’s not what we are there for.
The staff did a great job in forty minutes and for $ 19 dollars I was impressed since it included a wash with special shampoo, glands cleaned, nails trimmed, teeth brushed, and ears cleaned. (Park’n Bark would have charged an arm and a leg for that kind of work!)
The average price is $ 35 (that’s for a big dog). I was a new customer too so that may have effected the price but hey… the dog is cleaned and it’s a great price with wonderful friendly service. Can’t beat that.
