Sentry Security Systems Inc

I’m a fan of Sentry Security, at least from the limited amout of time I’ve been doing business with them.
The home we moved into was already using Sentry Security, so we figured we would give them first shot at our business too!
First off, I love the personal service you get – Bill is one of the owners, and he’s who I’ve dealt with since the beginning. When I call for questions or information, I don’t go to some switchboard and get whomever happens to be on at that time. Bill remembers me, our family, my house, etc. It’s so refreshing to deal with a locally owned «mom and pop» business.
We used to have ADT at our old house. Bad installation, zero customer service to speak of. We didn’t even think of a local option… and when I heard local I was worried about the difference in cost. However, our monthly bill is only a bit higher than with ADT (which I think was $ 28 or so, under contract) at $ 35 a month (without a contract).
Some cons: it seems pretty pricey for the installation of the products. The house already had the alarm, so all we had installed was an additional motion detector and a two smoke alarm, and we paid about $ 650… not cheap! I’m not sure how much ADT, etc would charge for all that, but you always hear about their whole house install for $ 99 (not sure what’s included in that).
I’m sure they do plenty of high-​tech installs, so I can’t comment on larger systems. I was sort of interested in a program where I can arm and disarm the house from my smart phone, but I think all they could offer me was a system that would email me a report of when doors were opened, etc? That would have been $ 45 a month… so maybe I needed a newer alarm system to work with my smartphone? So I’m a little unclear about what newer technology options they might offer.
I have no doubt though that if there were any problems with my alarm, or I had any concerns about security, I have no doubt that any issues would be handled by Bill directly and with the highest level of care and attention.
