Terrible, terrible, terrible customer service. Deli has no idea what they’re doing, and is rude about it also! Unbelievable. Safeway in general is usually good, but this location needs an enema.

One star is too many. Absolutely the slowest cashiers I have ever seen. The guy doing express was so nasty and I think I heard every single one of the three cashiers on say«I don’t know». Horrible! One poor woman and her child melting down stood in line for over 15 minutes trying to check out. I will go out of my way not to shop here again

SLOWSLOWSLOW! There are more people working at the Starbucks in the store than in the rest of the store completely. This company clearly does not value their customers’ time or pocketbook. Their prices are ridiculous, products not of quality and again… SLOW!

This place is just not good anymore. The customer service is a joke. They teach their employees nothing about the products or how to smile. People always complain about Wholefoods pricing… well the price pays for good products purchased from good farmers and local businesses and they pay their staff and train them to be awesome. So glad I am moving. Very disappointing.

The last few times ive shopped here the checkout has been HORRIBLE. Long lines and only 2 cashiers. No baggers They must be trying to save money. Today i walked out after the ‘express’ line was crawling. My time has some value too. Wili never return to this store!

This is the best grocery store ever. Mostly due to the amazing customer service. Honestly, I love these people. I have memories of past employees whose names I still remember! I would mention names, but it would be too many because I’ve seriously never encountered a rude associate there! By using the online just for you savings I am able to shop at a clean & pleasing establishment while saving oodles of money. Bottom line: shop here, save money, & be happy :-)

The Safeway at this location is a high-end Safeway – spacious, modern, and with full deli department. A very clean store. It is the anchor of this shopping center. While you’re here, you can drop off your dry cleaning, pickup a prescription at Walgreen’s, get some DIY supplies at Ace Hardware, get some dinner at one of the restaurants, drop off/pick up your dry cleaning, get some flowers for your wife, and top it off with a treat at Cold Stone. A very convenient location. Great place for on your way to/back from Mt. Lemmon.

Love this grocery store. Clean, well organized, a Starbucks located inside, a Signature Café… what else could you possibly want?! And the Deli selection here is better than most any other Safeway or Von’s I have been to.

Safeway does have a lot of extras — Starbucks, sandwich bar, etc — that other grocery stores don’t have but the more expensive prices far outweigh the benefits of more in-store conveniences. The location is well-stocked with a good variety of items but the store is dark and feels very closed in. The aisles are a bit on the smaller side and the endcaps and extras around the building make it difficult to maneuver a cart. The sales can be pretty good so if you shop the sales, you do okay but regular items are a bit pricey.

I do my grocery shopping here. I don’t enjoy it, but it’s convenient. Prices are consistent with California grocery stores, but this is Tucson and prices should reflect the poorness of the people who live in Tucson. WTF is with poor people all over the place?

What the duce??? Safeway has a gourmet sandwich bar??? I mean, I’ve tried these«store brand sandwiches» before and had little luck, so I was very passive when my roomie recommended going to Safeway for lunch(c’mon, who does this… seriously?) All I can say is wow. I had a Hollywood Cobb Sandwich and he had a meatloaf(the sandwiches are HUGE so we halfed it). The bread was soft, fresh and warm, while the ingredients inside were fresh, tasteful and downright awesome. Believe it or not, Whole Foods better watch out!

Visited this location while on a recent weekend get-away to Tucson and I felt like I was right back home in California. Really, I think Safeway(and their sister child Vons here in SoCal) are taking the Lifestyle concept stores too far. They must have had a big gigantic sale on earth brown paint to cover the ceilings. Is every Safeway/Vons going to look like this in the future? Service was decent, not overly friendly. Store was well-stocked and clean with convenient parking. Overall, a solid 4 * performer«serving Tucson since 1950» according to the wall over the exit.
