Rillito Automotive Inc

Rillito is my GoTo mechanics shop. They KNOW what they’re doing, and they love their work. More importantly, I love their work, customer service, and Saturday hours. They have $-saving tips, they check out used cars I’ve considered buying (and saved me from some disasters!). They also do on-​site alignments and i-​haul rentals. Did I mention they’re also a bunch of really nice guys, too?

So I have to tell a little story. I have never had a car break down from overheating in all my 45 years and I had two do that to me in less than 12 hours. We had our Acadia parked at the airport and flew in from SD and were leaving the airport a little before midnight when it overheated. I called AAA and had the card towed to our house in the foothills. I figured I would get coolant the next day and take it over to have Tony at Rillito look at it. I left the following morning in my wife’s Boxster to get coolant and on my way home (near Oracle and Ina) the serpentine belt went I there I was overheated again. I was out of cars and needed help so I called Tony. He stopped what he was doing, called a tow for me to get the Boxster to his shop. Picked me and my coolant up to drove me home. Put the coolant in the Acadia and found the water pump was bad. I had it towed back to the Dealer (under warranty). Tony offered to leave me with his utility truck since I was carless until he got the Boxster fixed but I had another option. I left town on the next day and when Tony had the Boxster fixed he brought it back up to my house for my wife and had one of his people follow him to take him back. Tony fixed the Boxster for a fraction of what the dealer would have charged (not under warranty –1998) and I cannot imagine how anyone could have given better service. I would not take my vehicle anywhere else other than to Tony at Rillito! When you have car trouble it can be equally unsettling trying to figure out where to take it.
