Amazing food and service! I tasted the plantains for the first time and they’re so good. Their specialty plate was very filling and worth the $ 9.

We ate here again today, and it was even better than we remembered. We ordered the arepa pabellon again(mechada plus plantains), such a great combination of salty and sweet. We also had the empanadas, which were delicious. Great service too — there was a line, so one of the workers came and took orders outside the truck, and for those who ordered drinks, she brought them right out so people could enjoy them while they waited in line. A nice gesture on a warm sunny day!

Fabulous food truck experience. Had the pernil arepa and the carne empanada. Great value for $ 9. I’ll definitely be making this a regular lunch spot.

We had late night Mechadas which were so dang ridiculously delicious that I couldn’t stop thinking about them and still want one with that avocado purée with jalapenos, mmm mmm mmm, find them. Totally divine!

We’ve eaten at Ricuras de Venezuela four times and each time was absolutely amazing! Chicken arepa, pork arepa, and the shredded beef arepa twice! I love this food truck. The price is right too.

Best food ever! If you are looking for something fresh and delicious go here. We are so bored of the food trucks offering bland soggy«Sonoran hotdogs», it is nice to have a different food option downtown. The arepas are amazing!

Loved every single bite of my areas, I had the ham and cheese and the pork ones. The avocado sauce is delicious as well!

Why does this world not offer more opportunities to eat fried corn cakes stuffed with proteins? This was our first time eating Venezuelan food and we were impressed. We started with a cachapa, which is a sweet and crispy corn pancake stuffed with sweet corn and a beautiful fresh cheese. We gobbled that down quickly and then shared 3 arepas: pork, beef, and bean and cheese. Bean and cheese was my favorite. It came with a rather spicy avocado and cilantro crema. I’m not a big fan of cilantro but the flavor overall was appealing. The beans were plain, but the cheese seemed to be the same good, fresh white cheese, and the wrapping and sauce were tasty enough to carry the beans. The shredded beef was mixed with vegetables and was very hot and juicy. I didn’t try the pork because I don’t like pork. Obviously, to keep your food deliciously crispy, they have to fry everything to order, so it does take some time to make these meals. The service was very friendly and we were advised that, in the future, we could phone our order in if we didn’t want to wait.

Stopped by the truck @ it’s Grant Rd spot during the week. Ordered the chicken plate to go. Food was hot and tasty but the plates they use didn’t make it for a less than 4 minute ride home. Soggy edge leaked meat juices into the bag. Need to use Styrofoam containers or something similar for to-go orders. Nonetheless, I will return to sample the rest of the menu!

Ricuras is my new favorite food truck! I’ve been there twice(after concerts downtown) and am looking forward to having them again. The arepas are delicious, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. They are filled with a variety of yummy things: I’ve tried the pork, shredded beef, and beans with cheese. The bean and cheese arepa is my favorite-it comes with a huge slice of white cheese that is very similar(identical?) to Mexican queso fresco. Each arepa is $ 6 and is a meal for itself. I can only eat one. The empanadas are also very yummy-the beef one in particular is delicious. I like how the arepas here are very simple-the arepas have a very simple flavor, as do the pork and beans that fill them. No over the top seasonings or salt. This might be a turn off for some, but I prefer it this way. They have a very homey quality to them that I like. There are yummy green salsas to add(with different levels of heat) and a mayo sauce as well. I’m kind of obsessed with these right now, especially since Mexican gorditas are practically non-existent in this town and this is a very good alternative. Looking forward to trying their traditional malta drink. They post up in front of Club Congress Fridays and Saturdays from 10pm on. Hours posted on their Facebook page. Try to find something better to soak up that alcohol, I dare you.

Good and tasty, very unique. My first experience with Venezuelan food. Fresh and fairly priced as well. Recommended if you’re in the mood for something different from another Spanish-speaking culture. We have some of the best Mexican restaurants outside of Mexico anyway, why not try something different?

Got a chicken arepa with the hot sauce inside. It was delicious, and they spoke fluent drunk.
