History

Established in 2014.

In about January 2014 Kevin and Lana culled their ever expanding record collections and brought a bunch down to the Old Town Artisans complex to sell. They claimed their little spot inside a newly formed antique and vintage shop, Gypsy Emporium, and declared it Old Paint records. Specializing in vinyl, they stock a wide range of top shelf musics spanning many genres. You’ll find some cream of the crop stuff, and cheap prices on rad used vinyl. The vintage store, Gypsy Emporium, and the record store, Old Paint Records, are always open at the same time so you can send your Mom off looking for antique ice cream scoops, while you dig deep for that copy of Sabbath Bloody Sabbath you used to have. And if that’s not enough to satisfy oneself, enjoy a cold one and some good eats at the house restaurant and cantina, La Cocina.

Business Owner

Kevin and Lana are local Tucson musicians that share a ridiculous love for vinyl. They opened this little space so they could nerd out with folks on all the amazing music that’s out there. When not working at the shop, find them behind their guitars, crooning country every Wednesday at La Cocina, or rocking out with the psychedelic garage band, Hermanitos.

«We share a beautiful courtyard with this restaurant, and we love being neighbors with them! Great food, music, and drinks in a relaxing setting.»
