Everyone was so nice and helpful. David did an awesome job on my nails and Yen waxed my eyebrows. Definitely the best nail salon in Tucson!

This place was recommended to me by a friend because I couldn’t seem to find a nail salon in Tucson that was to the caliber of the places I go to in Orange County (I’m incredibly picky when it comes to nails and only see those who I feel are up to trend and take pride in their work). I saw David for an acrylic gel fill and was very pleased with his customer service and his work. He was genuinely kind and friendly as soon as I walked in. The salon has a nice upscale look inside and didn’t play depressing music like most salons do (it’s torture when they do that). David really listened to me when I explained the the look I wanted, understood I was very picky about my shape and actually knew how to keep them in the stiletto/​ballerina shape I had, and made me feel welcome. He made conversation but could tell I wasn’t really in the mood to socialize heavily and allowed me to be quiet. The silence is usually awkward at most nail places, but I felt very comfortable and relaxed. He took the time to pay attention to the little details and I can tell he is a perfectionist like myself. Watching him do my nails showed that he took pride in his work and he really made it art. When he was finished, he made sure he did as I wanted and that I was satisfied with the service and final product. My nails look beautiful and elegant, and I will only be coming back to him when I am in Tucson.

My nails are great! The pedicure was relaxing and both techs were gentle and made sure I was getting what I wanted.

My daughter and I went over to Nails by Yen for the first time -(had been a long time customer of another salon) and are so impressed by the service and the job done there. It was easy to make an appointment and had the best shellac mani we have ever had. My daughter had an appointment with David and I was with Yen. They were very thorough, took their time and made great suggestions on polish color (getting LOTS of compliments on mine) The pedi’s were also very very good and meticulous. I had just had a pedi a few weeks prior only to find that they missed a lot of cuticle that had built up. I have already booked our next appointments and will definitely be long term customers based on the friendliness, and excellent work they do.

Nails by Yen is by far the best nail salon in Tucson. When I walked in everyone was very friendly. David did my nails and I must say out of everyone who has ever done my nails in AZ he is the best. I went in with an idea of what I wanted, David made my nails look even better than the picture. Most nail salons would get impatient waiting for you to decide, that did not happen at this salon. David was patient and even made friendly suggestions. The salon was very clean and organized. I have definitely found my new favorite salon in Tucson. I won’t be going anywhere else.

Best set of nails and pedicure by far I have ever had. David asked questions to find out the results I was looking for and he did a fantastic job. Salon is clean and staff is very attentive. Very busy however they do everything they can to accommodate everyone. This will be my go-​to place from now on!

Found this gem on Unilocal and I am so glad I did. David did my nails and I absolutely love them. A lot of places honestly don’t know what they are doing, but I think this place can actually do a great job. I remember having to do my own nails at a salon because they didn’t know how to do ombré nails. Can you picture me sitting in the chair and doing my own nails? The funny thing was, I still got charged for the full service. Ha! Never going back there again. You can guess my relief when David understood my needs and wants. I will be back again for sure.

Came here due to the good reviews, totally disappointed. Pedicure was good, nice massage chair, different lotions to select from. Had a French no chip manicure, it was disappointing, the lady obviously was in a hurry, and the French tips were not even the same width! I asked to fix it, and she said I had to wait for her to finish her next work! You really should finish one job well before rushing to the next one. They charged $ 30 for pedi and $ 35 for the mani, and $ 1 extra if you want to use credit card, for the price I definitely expected better work. I’ve been to many nail salons and this was not a place I would return.

Best manicurist I’ve used in the last ten years. Yen has a great technique when it comes to gel nail removal. It is a lot more comfortable and more healthy process than soaking your nails in a bowl of acetone. Have never had another tech take the time and effort to use this method.
She is fast, meticulous, awesome and affordable!

Absolutely fantastic service! I made a last minute appointment for a mani pedi and was taken care of with such ease. My nails look perfect and an extremely relaxing experience overall. Everybody there is very sweet and accommodating :)

I highly recommend getting your nails done at Nails by Yen. David gave me a full set with a beautiful design for my winter formal. He did a phenomenal job, and my nails came out even better than I expected them to. On top of that, Nails by Yen is a very welcoming salon with kind and approachable staff. This place is the best! I’m visiting from California and I broke a nail and needed it fixed, plus a needed a fill :) they got me in right away and David did my nails. He listened to exactly what I wanted and exceeded my expectations. He did a better job then the nail salon at home! Plus their prices are even better! At home I pay $ 60 or a fill including tip and today I paid half that and they look better! Very clean and very friendly. If only I lived here it would be my go to! Thank you again!

I have searched all over Tucson for a great nail salon and this one takes the cake.
The thing that lead me to this place was all of their great reviews on Unilocal.I don’t think there are any negative reviews whatsoever.
My first impression of Nails by Yen was great! When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by David and we got started. I noticed right away that this nail salon does not smell like chemicals and acrylic and acetone. It smells nice, making it all the more an enjoyable experience.
David was very meticulous and executed my nails perfectly. My full set from him is the best full set of acrylics I have ever had. They’re the perfect thickness, perfectly square, and they’re all the same length. I will most definitely be returning to him for my fills and hopefully pedicures in the future. I’m telling everyone that this is the best salon I’ve ever been too!

I came in here because of all the pictures that I had found on Unilocal.There were some really great reviews compared to other places around, so I figured I’d check it out. I originally had set an appointment for Tuesday morning, and this morning I decided I’d rather get them done today. I called David at 9 when they opened and he got me in straightaway at 10 o’clock.
I don’t do my nails very often; I do a lot of my own yard work, and what not around the house so my hands usually look like complete garbage. But David did an amazing job on my nails! He made them look very natural, very pretty, and I absolutely love the shape. It didn’t take much time for him to get the entire set on and get them completely finished. I’ll see how long I can keep my hands nice and try to be lady like…
Hey, he also gave me some great tips on relaxing through my breathing. He couldn’t help but notice I was completely tense, awkward mess.

Being an educated consumer, I did my due diligence in researching to find a nail salon upon my relocation to Tucson before venturing out and nail salon hopping. To my surprise the salon that rose to the top in reviews and TOPs in my experience today is Nails by Yen. David and Thu took care of me and I was sold. Nails by Yen gives you an experience inclusive of ambiance, customer service and services provided. I am a «spa» girl and my mani-​pedi salon experience was SPA like. I’m coming from Austin TX a more progressive city but I am pleased to have found a nail salon on my first out of this caliber. I hope the other shoe does NOT drop and service remains at this delivery level. KUDOS!

I have been in Tucson for over 2 years and have tried many nail salons, none of which have inspired a 2^nd visit until I experienced Nails by Yen. I have received many services (manicures, pedicures, shellac, acrylic) from several of the Nails by Yen family and every time I am ecstatic with the results and how enjoyable my experience is.
I kid you not I have fallen asleep during more than a couple of my pedicures! If there is ever a tough day I know exactly where to go right after work to turn the day around
