My Pet Counts

I have been taking my dogs to My Pet Counts for over 5 years with Barbara she is awesome, but she left almost a year ago and I don’t know where she went, since she’s been gone it’s never been the same. The first couple of times I took my dogs they got decent hair cuts. The last two times I took my dogs they didn’t do such a good job, the haircut was shopped, they had long hair behind their legs, it was pretty bad and I paid $ 96 dls But now they only have one groomer and they over book her, I mean seriously how much can one person do. Its not such a bad place they sometimes keep the dogs for several hours but so does PetsMart. The one bad thing is I have been calling for the past 4 days and all I get is a busy signal

I took my toy poodle to this place for a full cut, and after 5 hours of waiting, I got her back nice and clean. However, the hair was not clipped, she still had the 2 mats I told the groomer about. The tail was not touched and looked dirty. Her feet were not trimmed until after I got there to pick her up and I again asked to have them done. I guess the single star accounts for the fact that they bathe her and brushed her; a 45 minute job done in 5 hours for the full price of $ 44.00.

My doggie was well taken care of. Very nice staff. If there’s one tiny gripe was that the grooming took over 4 hours.
They do seem like a very busy place.
The business is also a clinic that doesn’t have the name «My Pet Counts» on the front of the store so I wasn’t completely sure I was in the right place.
Still I recommend it highly.

I have always taken all my dogs to My Pet Counts for over 20 years. They are open 7 days a week and can they get you an appointment for your busy schedule. I have never had a problem with any of the services and plan on taking my dogs to them in the future.

My pet counts is not closed, in fact it just moved across the street into mission pet clinic at 1736 w. Ajo way. There are new groomers there and the vet is there as well. They are open 7 days a week. Their number is 520−573−9967.

This place was great! They are very helpful and will get you in the day of! I loved how my dog turned out! They did just what I asked! Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves their pet and wants the best for them!

I called this morning and the lady who answered made an appointment for our schnauzer today. They were very friendly and took great care of our little guy for less than our regular groomer. We had to do a little shopping before we picked him up and they were fine keeping him a bit longer for us.

Unfortunately I have to give 3 stars only because the grooming caused me an extra $ 150 bucks in Vet charges.
The people in this place are extremely friendly, they have a good selection of good food including Innova which is the highest rated food among vets. They also sell Merrick which is a great food. They have all kinds of accessories and offer cat grooming at a competitive price. I decided to take my cat there after Petsmart made me take my cat to a doctor’s appointment because I forgot my cat’s shot record at home, even though she was up to date on her shots.
So even though she got all her shots on 06/​2011, she still caught Feline Boartadella at My Pet Counts and we had to take her to the vet and get her antibiotics and vitamins to build up her immunity. She had that when she was a kitten and almost died so the little exposure to it, even though she is vaccinated, will do the damage. She has been to PetSmart for 3 years and she never caught anything. She is an indoor only cat so we know for sure she caught it there. I notified them.

My vet ordered my dog on a special (expensive) food that seemed nearly impossible to find in Tucson. A dozen phone calls later I was able to track it down to two pet stores and My Pet Counts was the closest/​cheapest so it was the obvious choice.
From the outside it looks rundown and uninviting. Don’t let that fool you. I walked in and found the food I needed sitting right by the door. Before I could bend down to pick up the 15lb bag, a man rushed over from the back of the shop and lifted it for me while simultaneously asking if I needed any help. Not anymore… He took the bag to the counter for me where I had a slight wait while the cashier expertly clipped a screaming Chihuahua’s toenails, but then I was given quick and friendly service. Both people working were really sweet.
When I went to leave, the man grabbed the bag of food for me and headed for the door. I assured him that I could carry the bag without any problem but he wouldn’t hear of it. He loaded it into my vehicle for me and wished me a good evening. I definitely plan to try out their grooming services in the future.
