Mathnasium instructors use our unique assessment process to determine (with

great accuracy) exactly what each child knows and what they need to learn.

Next, we design a customized learning plan for teaching the concepts the student

needs to master. It doesn’t stop there — our encouraging instructors continually

check progress along the way to make sure kids truly understand and retain the

concepts we’ve taught. The results are transformative — kids will see measurable

changes in attitude, confidence, and school progress.

History

Established in 2009.

Mathnasium of Marana opened in 2009 to provide math tutoring and homework help to students in our area of Marana, Tucson, and Oro Valley. Our center is located in the Fry’s Shopping Center on the North East corner of Silverbell Road and Cortaro Road. Mathnasium of Marana won the Marana Chamber Business Builder of the year award. We have a partnership with Marana Unified School District to support their students. Our team of expert tutors has a mission: to improve the lives of children through the math literacy they gain in the year-​round and summer math programs we offer.

Business Owner

Devi Paolillo MS, MFT, Owner/​Center Director Master Certified by Mathnasium

Devi combines her many interests and professional talents to create the best learning experience possible for students. She has been an elementary school teacher, supervised student teachers, taught workshops for teachers on best ways to teach and worked with children. She has worked with children, adults, and families as a psychotherapist. She has had twenty-​five years experience as an educator and therapist working with children of all ages and stages of development.

At Mathnasium, she is responsible for developing and supervising the instructors, as well as managing the business. She loves direct teaching time with Mathnasium students. Devi graduated from Mount Saint Mary College with a degree in Mathematics and Education. She earned a Masters in Science from SUNY New Paltz in Special Education and a second Masters at Hahnemann University in Marriage and Family Therapy.
