Le Bon Gateau

Le Bön Gâteau rocks! Our cake earned a «like» on Facebook from our 15 year old and 20 of her friends! And, it was delicious.

I had a birthday cake done about a year ago and it was decently priced and a decent cake, not the exact detail I wanted but it looked pretty and tasted good. Overall I was happy!
I went back to place and order at 5pm for a birthday cake and they were closed. Sign on door AND Unilocal said 6? So I went back the following day around 4 and was told they weren’t talking any orders even though I was ordering a month before I needed the cake. I completely understand they may be backed up but customer service definitely needs a lot of work. I was also planning on picking up any little pastry or cupcake while I was going to order a cake but the display case was empty so I was shot down once again. I will not continue my business with them.

Update the bakery hours of operation. It’s 5:06 and the bakery is closed. According to Unilocal,this bakery is open until 6.

Ordered our Day of the Dead wedding cake and wedding cookies — could not have been happier!
The cake had three layers alternating tres leches with chocolate mousse cake. Frosting — buttercream perfection, cake perfection. We ordered wedding cookies to give as party favors to our guests — what a big hit they were! She makes them with pecans (after trying a few at other places, I learned some folks use almonds and some use walnuts), she boxed them and tied with ribbons. They were pretty and addictive!
On top of the quality — the service was top notch — professional, on time — just a pleasure to do business with.
The location isn’t difficult to get to, it’s just tucked away in a hidden strip on Oracle — it’s not really a foot traffic spot — if it were — they’d blow up with business.

Weird location… hard to find too! It seems like this place has a few different names… I was looking for Mini’s Cupcakes, but apparently it is called Le Bön Gâteau now. We tried the strawberry champagne and red velvet cupcakes… they were just ok. I honestly think I make better cupcakes myself. They were hard to get out of the cupcake liners too.

I really wanted this cake to taste good but alas it was very odd tasting. We ordered strawberry so maybe that was the problem. It was VERY heavy and not light and fluffy at all. I did buy some cupcakes that were tasty but they couldn’t undo what the cake had done. Very nice mother daughter team but I wouldn’t spend the money to buy a cake here again.

Really Unilocalers? This shop looks adorable from the outside but once you walk in and take a look the craftmanship is not on point. My husband and I went in excited to get a cupcake, well we walked in and they had nothing in the case! i Was so excited to go in and get a cupcake and yet they didn’t have any displayed I was annoyed!
So, after all being said I left with a coke-​I know I know I didn’t try a pastry or a cake because all I wanted was a delicious chocolate cake and I’m sure they are quite good. However their frosting technique and displays were not on point.
If I’m going to spend some money on a sweet treat I am going to elsewhere plus this place is not in my neck of the woods.
The lady though I do have to say was quite nice and she did apologize quite a bit which I do appreciate.

This was my first experience ordering wedding cake. Maribel was super accommodating with the design and adjustments to the cake flavoring. Cake was delivered on time and all the guests loved it. Will definitely recommend this shop!

They have maple bacon cupcakes — need I say more?
This was our first experience, and after racking up a good bill with our Unilocal $ 15 for $ 30, we left with a good amount of delicious treats. The owner and staff were extremely friendly, and compared to other cupcake/​dessert boutiques in Tucson, Le Bön Gâteau is an affordable, tasty spot to stop by if you’re near the Tucson Mall /​Automall.

Le Bön Gâteau makes sublime Pecan Bars which pair amazingly well with your morning cup of coffee. I’m not always in Tucson, but when I am, I always stop by Le Bön Gâteau and pick up a couple Pecan Bars. Support your local small businesses!

NY Giants Helmet Cake Palooza
I posted a photo of the NY Giants cake they did for my birthday which my wife was incredibly pleased with herself to pull off. The cake looked fantastic – it was a real helmet! The detail down to the face mask was incredible. Now – usually these are not the best tasting – they look great, but leave you happy it looked good.
Let’s talk about the cake – chocolate – exceptionally rich, moist and yummy. The frosting was good – but underneath the frosting and in between the layers was fudge – the kind that puts you in a candy coated sugar coma – again very well done.
Would I order from Le Bön Gâteau again? You betcha – touch down for the Gateaus!

I ordered a custom cake for my daughter’s birthday party and the cake came out exactly like she had wanted.
It was so cute, all my guests were asking me where I got the cake from… then came time to cut the cake and serve it, once people started eating the cake, they couldn’t stop commenting on how delicious it was… most guests had more than one slice!
I told everyone where I purchased the cake and I will definitely be referring them to others and continuing to use them myself.
