Wow. I’m glad I hadn’t read the previous review before we made the appointment. We had the complete opposite experience. Since we’ve been having insurance problems at other places, we wanted to make sure that we found a dentist was in the network. Well, all the ones we’ve seen have been, but the anesthesiologists are not. None of them. We were on the phone with the people from Dr. Hishaw’s office several times and received lots of useful information. We were told to download and fill out a welcome form before the visit. Once we got there, we had no more papers to fill in. The waiting area is decorated in a jungle theme which, of course, kids love. I was really apprehensive about the actual visit. My son has proven to be a nightmare patient at the other places. Dr. Hishaw came out and instead of trying to take x-rays right off the bat, started chatting with my son. They talked about super heroes, preschool and best friends. She really got my son’s trust and attention with that. She allowed him to handle the instruments so that he wouldn’t be afraid of them. The kids are also made to wear cool sunglasses because of the bright lights. Dr. Hishaw explained everything she was doing and my son wasn’t struggling for the first time at any doctor/dentist visit. It makes a huge difference that Dr. Hishaw is also the mother of a young child. She completely speaks their language. For the procedure he’s having done, we were quoted almost just under one thousand dollars at the last place. Here, we were quoted a little over $ 300. Which would you rather pay? The next day my son was asking if he could go back to the dentist that day. Now, if that isn’t a good reference for a pediatric dentist, I don’t know what is.

worst visit to a doctor or dentist ever. They wanted to charge 3x more than what they quoted on the phone. Office manager should be a prison guard instead. Made us wait for 1 hour before telling us we have to fill out more paperwork to get into queue. X-rays are super expensive. Save yourself some grief, find another dentist. If I could give negative stars, I would.
