I love this place & I love the staff. They are very helpful when I come in & they always have interesting things to buy.

Very sad, gloomy, and dirty. I feel bad for all the inhabitants at this store, including the staff. The smell is outrageous and the whole place just needs a breath of fresh air. Also, the feeder chickens out on display and the poor doves for sale have never seen the light of day. My girlfriend and I were both heartbroken after visiting. Will not be returning or buying our feeder crickets from there. Please help those animals for the love of God

One of the best exotic pets shops I have been to. They specialize in invertebrates, but they also have a nice selection of reptiles. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. Their prices are also very reasonable

I just purchased a scorpion and a tarantula here and they are very cool creatures at a very reasonable price. The only down side was that they did not have a black light available for purchase for the scorpion. Cool shop. Will go back.

I would highly recommend this shop for a person who is looking to buy an insect. My tarantula came very healthy and destroyed a small pinhead cricket that I fed to him later this evening. Again, I would HIGHLY recommend this shop. Thanks again Ken

I didn’t even know this store existed until I spotted it from the Trendy Closets store across the street. I knew I had to visit it.
So: You want tarantulas? Check. Scorpions? Check. Centipedes and Millipedes? Check. Roaches? Really? Check. Snakes? Check. LIzards? Check. Turtles and tortoises? Check.
This is a fascinating store that almost seems more like a museum. They even have a sweet pot-​bellied pig to greet you!
Lots of cages and feeders and food and supplies to go along with your exoitic pet purchase. Ken and his staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and will answer any questions you may have.
This is truly a unique store in our area and well-​worth a visit.

I own a trio of sugar gliders so I have to buy them mealworms semi-​regularly. I usually went to petsmart or other nationally known pet stores for my supplies, but living in the neighborhood at the time, I decided to stop in Ken’s store on a whim. I am SO glad I did! They of course have feeder worms that are super affordable, but you can also tell they’re fresh– and by that I mean not sold in white tubs with sawdust with a brand stamped on top, I mean you get a container (like the ones from take-​out restaurants that hold sauces and liquids) with JUST WORMS that are huge and lively; clearly just pulled from a colony that they maintain. not a refrigerator.
Moreover, they don’t just sell and specialize in exotic reptiles and arachnids. They have a growing selection of supplies for degus, chinchillas, and even sugar gliders! All of the staff members have never been anything but nice, welcoming, and knowledgeable. I have since moved from the neighborhood, but I continue to go back there because they are so great in all aspects. Plus, nine times out of ten they have one of their own exotic pets hanging out in the store with them… I’ve met a cavy, a capybara, and even a wallaby.
Well-​done to all the staff here!

Placed my first order last week and everything was alive and well. Shipping was fast and customer service was excellent.
The only negative is they don’t have a store in California arghh.

This is a great little shop. TONS of tarantula species (just ask to see the list), very nice displays, reptiles, I think I even saw some bug-​related jewelry. The shopfront is small but he’s got the goods. Ken is a good guy and well respected in the business. I definitely would (and already have) recommend his store to everyone interested in getting a tarantula.

I’ve been coming here regularly for about a year… and their selection just keeps growing! They’re getting more & more exotic creatures with each shipment, and they even had their own show on the Discovery Channel not long ago!
I still learn & see new & interesting things every time I come in here, the place is always changing & always working on improvements. Still the best bug store ever… and you can even order some critters online & have them shipped to you if you live far away!

The best place in the USA, Ken the bug Guy has it all. I got my baby baboon there an she’s beautifully grown now, plan on going back soon for something else but don’t know what yet. can’t wait

Purchased a GBB a year ago as a sling, went to visit their storefront today and picked up a P. ornata and a G. Pulchipres as well as got my GBB sexed.
