Jim Click Chrysler Jeep

I wish I would have read these reviews before I agreed to service. Got a recall notice for My 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee ignition. Made an appointment, took it in. (my family has purchased 4 vehicles from him click. Thought I could trust.) received a call from service advisor car was done but many items needed to be addressed. I asked for prices for each item and after discussion decided which items to proceed. During course of conversation I asked if this included labor. He didn’t seem to recall me asking when it came time to pay as the total amount was over 300.00 more than quoted. I am on a fixed income. I would never have agreed to service if I knew the total cost was going to be over half of my monthly take-​home pay. The cashier and service rep could tell I was shocked. While walking to my car the service rep came and asked me not to leave. He was going to try to reduce the labor. While I’m grateful he was able to reduce the cost by 125 it makes me wonder if they could reduce, then just how inflated are the labor costs. Integrity seems to be lacking in this area, and my trust gone.

Having bought three cars at the Jeep store over the years, went back for a fourth. We agreed on a deal that included moving my winch from the old jeep to the new jeep. The salesman took both Jeeps over to a service guy named Ashton who said it could be done without any parts and it would take 4 – 5 hours. So we signed papers to buy the new jeep. The paperwork in writing stated they would move the winch over as part of the deal. We took the Wrangler the next day back to have the work done.
For those reading this – each bumper has a unique bolt pattern as does each winch – so usually need a winch plate that goes between the winch and the bumper. We were told they could use our winch plate.
After we dropped our Jeep off go get the work done 9 AM, we received a call that they would need to make a plate – ok no worries. Then an hour later, got a call that the labor was 12 – 13 hours that they would eat, but it would cost me 478.00 for the plate – said what? That was in the paperwork – said if I didn’t pay it – they were going to unwind the deal. Told them fine – unwind the deal. I said – and if you read these reviews, the worst department is Service at that store – why if service quoted sales 4 – 5 hours and no parts wouldn’t service have to go with what they said? Anyway – we left the conversation that night with the SM going to talk to the GM – but looked like because instead of 500 bucks it was going to be 2k – they were going to unwind the deal. The quote was «friends are friends, but business is business.»
So I called my friends at Chapman Jeep in Scottsdale – they were willing to match the deal – made it better by 800 bucks (jeep sticker was 600 more and their deal was 200 less) and were willing to move the winch and get the right plate. They were willing to come get my Jeep from Phoenix and bring me my new Jeep – hmm ok.
The next morning, the GM, Ted called – said he’d now eat the cost of the plate. I said Ted – I’m a bit like a yo-​yo here – first its on – then its off – now its back on – asked if he would unwind the deal – said he would and I could pick up my old jeep. Went at the end of the day to pick up my Jeep – I had to move my taillight cages back over – get all my stuff out and and they lost one of my keys. The sales man, Sam, came over and watched me work – and they sent a customer service manager, Ken, who actually made me feel ok with my decision – his best quote – «for smart guys, these guys can be pretty dumb.» You would think there would be more discussion – I did say if they wanted to do Chapman’s deal, I’d keep the Jeep but they passed.
Sam the salesman did warn me that I needed to be careful because if I went to Phoenix, more than likely I’d be ripped off – lol really? So – off I drove. That night I got a congratulations email from Jeep and a survey – well, right, they didn’t do very well.
Over the weekend and into the next week, I received a voicemail from Ted the GM asking me to call him – it was important. He was upset because I gave him a bad survey. Then later in the day, I received a phone call from the salesman, Sam, wanting to grind on me because he lost the sale and got hurt on the survey. When I ended the phone call – he started texting me. These folks are stalkers!
The issue for me is plain and simple – do what you committed to do. The phone call with the we’re going to unwind the deal if you don’t pay is not good business. Craziest news of the day? The sales manager elected to end our business relationship saying he had ethics – wow, really?
Now the rest of the story, worked with Scottsdale Chapman Jeep, they picked up my Jeep, did paperwork at my office, left me a loaner car, and brought my brand new Jeep to Tucson detailed with a full tank of gas. Now that I think about it – good thing Phoenix came to me, I was so worried Sam would be right and I’d be ripped off if I bought a car phoenix – NOT. Let me know if you need a referral to the guy at Chapman.

Though I’ve had great customer service at Larry Miller Tucson Jeep’s sales and service departments, it’s around a 45−60min drive from home (with annoying Tucson «drivers» on 22^nd St). I was hesitant to schedule service at the conveniently located Jim Click Jeep because of the numerous bad internet reviews but I decided to give them a chance. Besides, Jim Click Nissan treated me well for several years. First rant — the online scheduling is a joke. Through JC Nissan, I just logged into my account to schedule my specific date, time and service (s). Through JC Jeep all you get is an online form to fill out info and desired time range; an email reply decides the time. As confirmed via email, on 15-​Aug-​2015, I arrived at the ‘under construction’ dealership a little after 7:45am to kickoff my Saturday. Despite my online reservation, advisor Dave did not seem to have anything in place for my requested oil change and U-​connect recall. He was somewhat helpful during my 1^st hour in the trailer’s waiting room. After confirming that my oil change package was only accepted at Larry Miller dealerships (I thought it also included all Jeep locations), he stated my recall work wouldn’t be done until 1pm. I was initially ok with this since a friend was going to pick me up. I returned from my workout before 12pm, hoping for at least an update… nothing. I would frequently see the other advisor helping customers checkout but Dave was MIA. Oh and big FYI… no wireless internet (good thing I didn’t bring my work laptop or schedule on a work day), no weekend shuttle, no courtesy car… With the heat advisory, I wasn’t prepared to walk to Tucson Mall…
So around 1pm I searched for Dave and he looked clueless when I asked for a follow-​up. He guided me to the «wonderful» trailer waiting room and promised to return with an update. About 30min later of only seeing the other advisor popping in/​out, I asked him to locate Dave with my update. Dave eventually returned to report that the work may start in another HOUR… Does this dealership ever honor appointment times? To them, it didn’t matter that my car was sitting around since 7:50am…I received my car a little before 4pm and lost over half of my weekend.
Assuming the renovations ever finish, I will gladly get my oil changes at the nearby Larry Miller Fiat (where I received excellent service 2-​days later) and drive across town to LM Jeep as needed.

If I could give no stars that would be fantastic! I brought my 2011 Town & Country in because I had a bad alternator. I had called previous to bringing in the vehicle to ask how much it would be and was given a quote of $ 440. So after getting 2 other quotes and this being the best one I brought it in. I was told by my service adviser after signing a quote to fix the car for $ 440 that I should wait around because it would be about 1 ½. Four hours later after trying to hunt him down he comes back and says he has some bad news. I apparently have a super alternator in my car and now the price is going to be $ 880 and it wouldn’t be ready until tomorrow because they were shipping it from LA. So then I needed to rent a car. After I thought about it I went back and spoke with the service manager and after a lot of arguing with him about getting the run around, I pulled out my handy dandy written and signed quote they gave me. I told him if he did not honor it he had better go get my car because I was leaving the dealership and taking my business elsewhere. He agreed and said they would honor the quote and pay for two days of rental. So I thought great, they are doing the right thing and will get my future business! Not so fast though! Two days later the alternator comes in and low and behold they claim it is not the alternator but an electronic sensor in the alternator and you guessed it the price is back up to $ 880. Four days later the car was ready and they informed me while they will cover 2 days of rental at their special rate I would be responsible for the other days at the regular rate (which was twice as much) because it wasn’t the alternator afterall! I now have my car back but in the process I have a blinking light on my rear view mirror which is now going off and signifies the headlight alignment is off which was fine when I brought it in. Again I called and to no avail have not been responded to! Stay away from this place! Far, Far away unless you are in desperate need to be ripped off and to have your car held for ransom until you pay their ridiculous fees for senseless made up repairs! Dealerships are in it for as much money as they can swindle out of you! Find yourself a reliable honest mechanic who won’t take you for every last dime!

This review is with regards to the Jim Click Chrysler Jeep service department:
I took my 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee (32K miles) to have 2 recalls repaired today. While waiting, the service representative gave me a list of required services that I needed to have done which totaled $ 494.00. He said if I didn’t get it done he would report it to my warrant company. The list of services included a brake and coolant flush, oil change, cabin filter, engine filter, and fuel injector cleaning because he said my #6 injector was misfiring. I refused the services, told him to fix the recall items, inform whomever he wished and that I was going to get a second opinion.
When I was done with me recall repairs, I took my car to the Jiffy Lube located on 3896 N. Oracle Rd, for an oil change because I was right around 4,000 miles (I use synthetic oil). Frank, the Jiffy Lube manager, who is a former dealership mechanic told me I only needed an oil change and cabin filter replacement; the rest was unnecessary. As a matter of fact, he showed me on his computer, the manufacturer’s recommended service schedule to confirm that I didn’t need many of these services. He pulled out my engine filter and showed me that it was clean. He also said that if I had a fuel injector misfire, my check engine light would be on, which it wasn’t As a previous dealer mechanic, he said it was common practice for many of the service reps to sell parts and services that weren’t required because they make commission from their sales.
I’m so grateful to Frank for saving me $ 447 in unnecessary parts and service. I did however, get an oil change, a new cabin filter (Frank showed me it was filthy) and rear differential fluid replacement (because I was overdue by 12K miles… ooops) from Jiffy Lube.
A word of warning for anyone who is considering using Jim Click’s Chrysler Jeep servicing department: I’d be cautious and urge you to get a second opinion for whatever services and parts that the dealership is trying to sell you.

This service department is terrible. Called a week prior to get an appointment for a recall item on my Jeep. Recall consisted of reprogramming a chip. Waited 10 minutes just to talk to a representative the day of my appointment. He referred me to another rep that wasn’t even in the office. Finally a rep with last name Medina reluctantly decided to help me. He then told me they would need the car all day for a 30 minute job even though I’d made an appointment. Don’t use these guys if you can help it.

While my sales/​purchasing experience was great (Ty is a rock star!), my service experience was not as good. I came in last Wednesday asking to get routine maintenance done, and they scheduled me a week out. That’s my bad as I didn’t realize an appointment was necessary. Arrived 15 minutes early (9:45 am) for my scheduled appointment (10 am) today, and was informed it would take at least two hours because they were backed up.
Upon checking in, I mentioned my concern about a ‘check engine’ light coming on, and they informed me that I’d need another appointment to have that looked into. I also requested they install the alarm system I purchased with the Jeep, and they let me know that’s a different department.
Two hours and 24 minutes later, I’ve got the oil changed and tires rotated. I’ve got an appointment to return on Friday to have the ‘check engine’ light looked into. No status on getting the alarm system installed.
Construction made it rather chaotic, but that’s not a big deal. The folks were all really friendly. It’s the system in place for having my Jeep serviced that I take issue with.

Bree W/​in sales is freakin awesome! HOWEVER — Service at Jim Click Jeep does not deserve even a single star. They should have a NEGATIVE star. The service department has been nothing but trouble. Rude, arrogant, you name it. We paid for lifetime service and they try to charge us for oil changes. The oil change light comes on, we call to make appointment and they tell us it is not due for an oil change. Keep in mind that the manufacturer, Jeep Chrysler, sets this light according to their recommendations, and Jim Click Jeep has no right to dispute this schedule. Also, Jim Click provided a booklet that we are obligated to follow for this lifetime service schedule and it clearly indicates it is time for the oil change based on the mileage. (We had to ask for the book five times — even though they quite literally threatened us with the loss of the warranty if we did not follow the book!)
Oh and get this little nugget: 1^st time they did the oil, they left someone else’s remote key in our Jeep! Bet that customer was angry that they lost their keys!
1. Don’t fall for the Lifetime Service scam. They charge you then give you nothing but hassle to get out of their end of providing the service maintenance.
2. Prepare yourself to be treated like crap by the Service Department. They are hands-​down the worst service department in the industry, let alone Tucson.
3. Buyer beware!!!
PS. Trying to convey our dissatisfaction to anyone in the higher ranks at Jim Click resulted in a could care less attitude from Reception, Sales, and everyone else we tried to talk to. They simply do not care once they have your money.

Brought my 2002 Jeep Liberty in because of a bad wire connection to the speed sensor on rear differential. My appointment was for 8:00am and I live two hours out of town. I got it here at 7:30am and I’m still waiting at 12:30.
I’m still here at 4:00pm (8.5 hours later). The worst part of it is… I had this same exact job done in Oracle 7 months ago and it took them less than an hour. They could have at least told us it was going to take ALL day so we could have rented a vehicle or made other plans. My entire day completely wasted! Never again will I come back to Jim prick jeep.

Just bought a 2015 Jeep Altitude from Dee Westling and it was so simple and easy! If you want to buy a car and not get hassled and get an amazing deal go see him! Love my car and love him! Thank you Mr. Donald ;)

Horrible dealer. We went there looking for a Jeep and they were not very interested in helping us. We then told them to call us when they got in the Jeep we were looking for, and we would come down and test drive it. Ironically we stopped at their competitor and that competitor tried to earn our sale and took about $ 2500 off the vehicle and gave us about $ 3k more for our trade than it was worth. Needless to say we bought that same day. A few weeks later we still NEVER got even a follow up sales call. We went in and asked about a identical vehicle and they again blew us off. We noticed they had the IDENTICLE jeep Willy’s we had already bought. It was a trade in with 3k miles, and Identical in features to a «T»…Jim Click wanted $ 4k more for the used one than we got our new one for. I even asked the sales man AGAIN, to please call us if he could get us a better price… it’s been a month and not even a follow up call. Now I am still in the market, but since jim Click wouldn’t take us seriously, or even bother to call us back (twice) I am going to drive to Phoenix to make my purchase. Jim Click is obviously not hurting for sales, as they don’t even call potential clients back, and they do not negotiate price at all. I have also heard their service is horrible. *****UPDATE: I have since purchased our 2^nd Jeep Wrangler from Larry Miller, as Jim Click wouldn’t even call us back or negotiate. I went with a 2015 Willy’s Wheeler Unlimitted, the extended warranty and lifetime oil changes. I am very happy we gave our $ 75k to another dealer who actually wanted our business.

I bought my current vehicle from JC Chrysler and they were awesome. I would buy every car from them. The only problem is the maintenance for life program and the service department. Over the past three years I have taken my car for oil changes and twice they have «forgotten» to put very important parts back on. The first time the oil filter & I swear my car hasn’t ran the same since and two weeks ago the service tech forgot to connect the air filter and my car was sputtering and shaking, luckily my husband found it and tightened everything. We went on a road trip and my car stalled the whole time. When we returned I called the service dept they took my info and never called me back. Why sell a service that your not going to back 100%?

I will always take my business elsewhere! They don’t care and over charge. I made an appointment to drop off my 300 at 830 am I asked the sales rep Vince what time it might be ready. He told me 12 came back at 12 30. He told me my car had not been serviced yet but it was next. I demanded my keys back. They played games and continued to say it was next to be serviced. Ten minutes later I was given my car. I drove down the street to Car Max. The alignment was almost 40 bucks cheaper they got me in at 1pm and had my car back by 3 that day.

So if you all notice reviews clumped together it’s because I just found Unilocal and I am writing about everything I’ve experienced since I moved to Tucson.
My partner Brian and I moved to Tucson July 1^st, Brian needed a new car, and the first dealership we found when we arrived was Jim Click. We spoke with Manny an OUTSTANDING sales person, VERY attentive, cared about our needs and budget.
He asked us many qualitative questions, our monthly pricing goals, and what kind of car Brian wanted. Brian was originally looking for a Chrysler 300 type car, something cushy with options. We looked at everything Brian wanted to see and Manny suggested he at least look at a Jeep just for prospective. Brian fell in love with the Jeep.
So we had been in Tucson for about 2 days and already having this outstanding car buying experience.
Manny was even nice enough to drive us around during our test drive and show us a few hot spots in Tucson. Our experience with Jim Click was outstanding, and Manny has earned a customer for life!

Thanks so much, Khelil, for helping my family find the perfect new car! We love our Jeep Compass! You made the process easy, fun, and our new vehicle was a great deal. We will definitely be coming back to Jim Click for our future vehicles. THANKS!
