I’ve been here 5 times now, so I’ve made my decision of the place and the staff. These guys are very skilled with what they do, especially considering the low cost of the cut. It really is a rock solid business. The staff knows me by name, could not be more friendly, and they always listen to what I want. I know this because every time I leave, I’m not just satisfied, I’m excited about my purchase.
Long story short: consistently great haircuts, great staff, easy scheduling, and low overall cost. I would recommend to anyone.

Best barbershop in town. Always busy with return customers, but never a long wait. Family owned/​operated they know everyone by name. Couldn’t ask for a more friendly environment or a better haircut. Refuse to go anywhere else.

I have been looking for some time now for a top notch barber in Tucson that knows how to cut a professional looking flat top. I went with the recommendations on Unilocal and my wife’s intuition and set up an appointment with Danny. I was definitely not disappointed, Danny gave me the best flat top haircut I can remember, and I’m a perfectionist when it comes to my haircut. We were greeted at the door and provided bottled water while waiting for my appointment. The rest of the staff interacted great with the other customers, they put a Disney movie on for the kids who were in the barbershop and had candy available for them as well with parents permission. What I was most impressed with was the fact that Danny took his time to make sure he was doing a great job; it was obvious he takes pride in his work. II Sons just gained a new loyal customer today.

I’ve lived in Tucson for 10 years. Why did it take me 8 years to find this place? I won’t let anyone else cut my hair. I currently see Joaquin (sp) since he started working there. I have never been disappointed. One thing I love about this place is that it is a guys place. They are respectful, but also know how to joke around and keep the barbershop feel. Yes the haircuts take longer than the «fast food» style of the chains, but quality takes time. Plus I am there to enjoy the experience. All to often we rush through things in our life without enjoying the moment. Believe me you will enjoy the moment here. We talk about everything from old school shaving (my hobby), sports, movies, and regular life issues. Danny and the gang even took the ribbing I gave them when my Badgers beat the Wildcats in the Elite 8. Great guys.

Very nice place. Co-​located with a coffee shop which makes the wait nice. Very professional and cordial barbers. I did think that the haircuts take just a bit too long, but I am reaching for something for them to improve.

Tucson is full of mediocre barbers. This place is not one of them. They are not the cheapest cut in town, but if you want a high quality cut come here, plus it’s a guys barber shop. Lots of tv’s with sports and movies. Good atmosphere. I have been coming here for about 3 years and have not run into the appointment issues the other folks complained about. To those guys I would say, give 2 Sons another try.

I’ve been to a fair share of barbers in Tucson and other cities. I’ve come here twice, and for the price of the cut, definitely did not experience the personal care and attention to detail I’d expect. The man I saw (can’t recall his name) took a couple minutes to hear about the type of cut I’d like, and spent the majority of the rest of the time shooting the breeze with the other barbers.
Don’t let the myriad of TVs and the fancy cigar case fool you ~ the whole place wreaks of a machismo and arrogant vibe amongst all of the barbers. If you like that sort of thing, great, but it’s not for me…

I was really impressed with this barber shop! I wanted to try something new and looked very hard for a place that could do a vintage type haircut you normally see in the 40’s and 50’s and Danny delivered.

Let me explain how terrible this place is in a few, easy to understand, bullet points:
— I called at 8am, gentleman who answers says no appointment needed. Just drop in.
— I drop in. He looks at me and says he can’t cut me or my son’s hair.
— I ask ‘why’, he says, ‘It looks like a fade. I’ll get fired if I do a fade’.
— I say, ‘I just want a regular cut. He hands me a card and says, ‘make an appointment.’
— I say, ‘I just called and you said to drop in. I drove across town.’
— He says, I hope you understand.
Understand? No, I am very confused why you wouldn’t cut my hair. Or why you’d turn away two clients when your shop is dead. What a waste of time.
Danny, you should really reconsider who you hire for the morning shift. Yikes.

I went to this barber shop for the first time last Monday and had an excellent experience. The shop is clean and neat. My barber, Raul, did an excellent job. Based on what I told him I wanted, he hit the mark perfectly. Even my perfectionist wife was pleased with the result. I will definitely be going back to II Sons when I need a hair cut.

Ok so I call this place at 3:30 and ask what time they close. The guy on the other end says 5:00. I show up at 4:25 after driving from the other side of town, due to their alleged reviews, and the dude tells me they’re closed cuz he’s going home. I ask him again for clarification what time they close and he stutters a bit and says 5:00 but that they were closing early because he wanted to go home. Perhaps it would have been wise to say that on the phone the first time. Guess the economy hasn’t affected II Sons cuz they can afford to turn away customers. Won’t be giving vanilla ice a second chance!

I’ve been coming here for the past 5 months and Danny REALLY knows what he’s doing and most importantly he has been consistent in his cuts each time. I’m also very impressed by the atmosphere of the barber shop; it’s modern, clean, and well organized. The prices are also very fair. They treat their customers well and it’s a very laid back environment. I always make an appointment and never had to wait more than 10 minutes. Highly recommended!

I take my 2 year old here for haircuts and Rich is great with kids. I’ve gone to several places — both barber shops and salons, and the haircut here has been the best. $ 18 seems a little high for a kids haircut, but they’re the only place that has given him a great cut!

My husband wanted me to Unilocal this barber shop as he thought is was «tops» and wanted to let others know who might be looking for a good barber in Tucson. He said it was a very professional place, «a mans barber shop».
On the wife’s side, I think he came out looking pretty handsome!
