Outdoor great guided hikes on Tucson area trails. Together we trek across the wilderness of the great Sonoran Desert exploring the land, its history, flora and fauna. Learning about the desert and the ancient peoples who lived here long ago is not only interesting, it’s awe-​inspiring. To know we are standing in front of rock carvings called petroglyphs, is breathtaking. Some are thousands of years old. To date, unlike the Egyptian Hieroglyphics, no one knows quite yet what the meanings are of the stories they tell. The unusual iconic giant Saguaro cacti majestically stand to welcome you, literally, with open arms. At times javelina, coyotes, cactus wren, roadrunners will pass us by. To top it all, you’ll enjoy a southwestern activity second to none in Tucson, also known as The Old Pueblo. So come, join your trail guide and get as close to nature as you can get. History

Established in 2009.

Hike In Tucson is a division of Hike In Phoenix. The company expanded its service area to Tucson since it was so well received up north in the Valley of The Sun. Many in the hotel business have coined the phrase «the Sonoran Desert’s Première Guided Hiking Company.» To all of us, that is a high mark of expectation that we intend to maintain and exceed. People from all walks of life have joined our fun-​loving and interesting trail guides over the years. Some are 2 years old. Others have been 92. Our staff takes all effort to match our clients with the trail and mountain and guide that best suites what they are looking for. Most want to see the spectacular views. Others want a full cardio workout. However the majority book with us to learn, enjoy and experience the desert to its fullest. And we deliver on that premise. Our motto is You Decide! We Provide!

Business Owner

Rob is the founder/​CEO of Hike In Tucson. He relocated to Arizona from Chicago. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Science and Business from Illinois State University. His travels have taken him to Hawai’i & west, to Europe to the east & south of the border to Mexico, Argentina, & Brazil. He demonstrates a keen passion for traveling around the world, but has an even greater passion for hiking & nature. Rob admits to being a «hike-​a-​holic,» yet he always finds time for friends and family and other things he like to do. Rob said «Hiking in the desert can be fun, educational and a healthy activity for everyone of all ages and physical ability! With the expansion of Hike In Phoenix, LLC to Hike In Tucson, I just cannot do all the work by myself.» He’s proud to boast that he has a wonderfully talented and experienced crew of enthusiastic guides and staff. It shows that each of them love hiking and have a genuine admiration for sharing their experience with everyone.
