Because of the experiences I’ve had here, I won’t shop here anymore and haven’t shopped here for years. However, my husband was looking for something very specific and wanted to go here just in case they had it, since it’s a lumber store and he was looking for a certain type of wood. I reminded him of how they’d treated me, but he chose to go to this store anyway and he ended up having a similar experience to what I’d had– The cashier was rude to him and talked down to him like he was stupid too. So… I guess I’m not the only one they talked to in a condescending manner– they did the same to my husband when he went in by himself. Do we recommend this place? Absolutely not! Go elsewhere where they actually are nice, helpful, and appreciate their customers!

Home Depot makes me want to poke my eyeballs out every time I go there(and they very rarely end up having what I need). This morning, I went there out of sheer laziness to acquire appropriate lumber(they should have that, right?) for my new raised garden bed. It was the dumb and dumber show. I thought I might also pick up some veggie starts(since squirrels ate most of the ones I lovingly germinated)…but they had nothing of interest(lots of tomatoes, though — I guess that’s the only think folks in Tucson want to grow?). But I digress. In my annoyed state, I went to Grant Road Lumber, knowing that I should have just gone there first, because they would have what I need and I could support a local business. Those guys rock. Got my wood, they cut it to the appropriate sizes, and loaded for me, and it cost less than i expected. Next time, GOHEREFIRST!
