Friendship Villas at La Cholla

When my 94 year old mother (affectionately called Great Grandma or «GG») went into the hospital in November 2014, it was clear to my wife and I that GG would not be able to return to her assisted living studio apartment, so we began looking for a location that provided the care that was needed by GG. We are so glad that we were referred to Friendship Villas. From the moment we arrived we were treated with kindness and compassion. It was as if we and the caregivers had known each other for a long time. We truly felt as if GG (and my wife and I) were being taken care of by family. When Hospice needed to become involved in caring for GG, they worked seamlessly with the FV staff. GG went to be with Jesus on January 27. We were so fortunate that GG got to spend the last month of her life at Friendship Villas, and we have given it our highest recommendation. The Friendship Suite GG was in was perfect and the cost was reasonable. All of the staff were very friendly and professional.

Both sets of my grandparents have stayed here, and it is wonderful. The staff are amazing, and it is a warm and welcoming environment.
Although one set has passed away, I currently have one set still residing here. My grandmother recently forgot her skype password, so the office manager called me to see if I knew it, and how to help her reset it. Grandmother also realized she could take walks around the property, and got giddy at the thought, and now is a part of her daily ritual (with a walker of course).
So often when I come in to visit them, they are having their feet looked over by a podiatrist, or just had a visit with some animals that are trained to bring cheer to the elderly (one of which is a very large horse, which my grandmother loved!).
Grandfather is having problems these days, but the staff have been amazing at helping him. I highly recommend this facility.
