Elite Event Commoner & Co

Commoner & Co. is one of those places where you can tell the menu has been thoughtfully constructed to please many different palates. I had the pleasure of trying the hot wings which were tossed in a sweet and sour sauce and dusted with sesame seeds. They were meaty, tender, and crispy… Accompanied with a side salad. Perfect. The grilled cheese sandwich was buttery and filled with arugula which is a nice contrast to the different melty cheeses. My favorite dish was the chicken and dumplings it tasted like a delicious savory chicken pot pie… Thanksgiving came early tonight. Thank you Bella for inviting me to this event. I had a great time meeting a lot of new people.

Commoner & Co is a drive for me but after attending the Elite event I’m making it my goal to come here for dinner, distance be damned!
The food and drinks were not only über abundant (I was STUFFED) but they were delicious as well. The samples just kept coming and coming. We were treated to so many goodies-​wings, soup, tarts, etc etc. My favorites were the grilled cheese and the burger-​these totally hit the spot! The sweater weather cocktail was my favorite. It was like Christmas in a glass. I want to return to Commoner specifically for this drink!
On top of the samples from Commoner, we also got wine and beer samples. Holy hell I could have been rolled out of the place! I also loved meeting so many new Elites. What a great gathering of great people!

This was only my second Elite event, but I could tell it was really special! I loved the emphasis on community, both within Elite Unilocalers, and between Unilocalers and local business owners. It was great to interact with the masterminds behind Commoner, and sample their new menu. I am in love with the new grilled cheese! I also really enjoyed the spiced pear gimlet cocktail.
Unilocaler bingo was a nice ice-​breaker activity, and it definitely helped bring out my social side. This was a lovely, festive event and I look forward to more Elite activities!

Very very impressive. This is a role model case for how Unilocal community managers and local businesses work together to showcase the best of both sides. The samplers of food and drink were both more than adequate in size, amount (so everyone can try!) and strongly showcased Commoner & Co’s quality.
Nathan, Rhonda and Bella and their teams and attentiveness made this one of my best events to date (rivaling Sullivan Steakhouse in Seattle and Jando S’s events in Queens, NY).

This was only my second Unilocal elite event but man was it awesome. Great company, exceptional food and service, sweet atmosphere. I had never heard of Commoner & Co prior to this event so I’m glad it was here. Perfect place for a Friendsgiving. The food and cocktails were very generous and definitely warmed the soul. My all time favorite was the chicken and dumpling soup. Best I’ve had and I still think about it from time to time. I have to come back to Commoner and Co. to try more.

What a fantastic evening! Bella did a wonderful job again and the staff was SO accommodating with bringing out tastes and taking dirty plates! Loves their wings, burger with relish, dumpling soup, goat cheese apps and grilled cheese! The best finale was to try their AMAZING ice cream sandwich!!! OMG! We walked inside and out and food and drinks were flowing! I loved their non alcoholic hibiscus soda — mmmm! The portions for tasting was generous and I left full and happy! I thought the activity to get to know each other was a fun ice breaker and to send a note to your favorite Tucson place was a clever touch– especially close to the thanksgiving time! Excellent! Thank you all!

I had a really great time at this event! It looks like the events keep getting better and better! We were greeted by our fabulous Community Manager Isabella and her assistant Alegre. Then we were given this scavenger hunt sheet which, unlike any scavenger hunt I have done, it was all about meeting new people and socializing! I really enjoyed it!
It was interesting to meet a lot of the Elites that make Unilocal!so great in an ambiance that took all of us off-​guard. Not having +1 at the event was interesting but at the same time it allowed all of us to mingle with new people and get to know the Unilocal!community a little better!
Kudos to Bella for having a great event full of laughs, great food, and delicious drinks! Keep the greatness coming in 2016!

What a blast! At first I was a little worried that there were no +1s, which would result in me standing awkwardly off to the side of a whole bunch of people that already knew each other… but that was distinctly not the case! The event was perfectly organized with people that have been Elite for a while and brand new butterflies (like me!). The food was awesome, the drinks were the greatest (pear gimlet, anyone?). As for the people that were working the event, they were such sweethearts!
The wonderful food, scrumptious drinks, and fabulously awesome people made for a great evening!

Thanks for such a warm welcome to the Elite squad! The food and drinks were delicious and the company was fantastic. The samplers of the burger and the chicken and dumpling soup were definitely my favorite bites. The drinks were great with a little spice, perfect for the colder weather.
I have never been to Commoner & Co. before the event but I will definitely be coming back to try out their dinner and brunch menus. Thanks for hosting and thanks to the Unilocal team for a great event before the holidays!

My first Elite event and it was a home run!
First of all, everyone was so wonderfully gracious and welcoming (even though I arrived a little early).
And the food. AND THE FOOD. That burger — the two patties and the bacon. So amazing! The bread was perfect, also. I tried the goat cheese tart. Normally not a goat cheese fan but I promised myself I would try everything at least once. That tart was great. Sweet from the strawberry but earthy from the cheese. Chicken and dumplings were good and the dessert is my favorite. Peanut butter ice cream should be everywhere. The only thing I missed were the grilled cheese (it was gone before I could ever get to it) and the wings (which I personally don’t enjoy). But that burger, though. I want more!
For the drinks, I tried the Leo (malbec and SO good), the gimlet (probably my new favorite drink), sweater weather (wouldn’t be my first choice because bourbon’s not my thing) and the beer (which was surprisingly tasty).
Overall had an amazing time. Nate, Vin and Katie were so generous with their food, time and knowledge. Thanks for such a great first event, Bella!

Had an amazing time here! Commoner & Co has a cozy ambiance with beautiful décor. The staff is super friendly and extremely helpful. We got to sample a brulee goat cheese tart, which was light and delicious. The chicken wings had a sweet glaze on them, and were mouth-​watering. I loved the grilled cheese, which consisted of fontina, pears and arugula. The burger, called the Suit, was a double patty with american cheese, bacon, and pickles. The chicken and dumplings were hearty and savory, and reminded me of a chicken pot pie. The mini ice cream sandwich was filled with peanut butter and chocolate, and was by far the best ice cream sandwich I’ve ever had!!! Even though this was supposed to be a tasting, we were treated to generous portions, and the food and drinks kept coming out!!!
The cocktails included the Sweater Weather, which was refreshing with apple cider with a kick to it. My favorite was the Pear Gimlet, which wasn’t super sweet, but was just sweet enough, and also light and refeshing. I didn’t have a chance to sample the wines, and I don’t drink beer, but it sure was great to have so many options. New Belgium Brewery handed out shiny pint glasses to everyone, and we were able to enter a drawing for a raffle prize by asking fellow Elites questions to find out more about each other. Our photographer, Pedro, snapped pics of the event throughout the night.
This was such fun evening, catching up with old faces and meeting new faces, each super enthused about being there. Commoner & Co is pretty far from my house, and that’s why I’ve never ventured to try it out, but now that I know how AMAZING everything tastes, I’ll definitely be making the trip up more often!!! Thank you Bella, Nate, Nick, and the staff of Commoner & Co, New Belgium, and everyone for one memorable Friendsgiving! Cheers!!!

Happy Friendsgiving everyone! A highly enjoyable night with delightful people and food. A huge thanks to Bella, Nick and all of his staff for putting on a fantastic spread and creating an environment that was fun and inviting. I think the favorite item for me was the goat cheese tartlette which kinda reminded me of a really classy version of a ritz cracker with cream cheese and jam. Nostalgic and elevated all at the same time. Also thanks to the New Belgium brewing company who has apparently supplied me with a whole new set of pint glasses haha! Sometimes it pays to be sitting right next to the display the whole night. Looking forward to more events of this type.

What a great friendsgiving! Getting to connect with old & new Elites! Savory bites & intoxicatingly delicious drinks, plenty for all to enjoy, one of my fav being the chicken & dumplings makes my mouth water thinking about it; will be returning in the near future to enjoy the full menu, thanks Commoner for having Unilocal

This event was spot on to kick off the holiday season! From the delicious drinks, to the delightful bites, to the fun conversation, I can officially say I’m ready for the holidays!
The drink Sweater Weather was perfect, and really delivered that name! It was like drinking and apple pie! All cinnamon-​y and apple-​y! My favorite was the Pear Gimlet, and I hope I can recreate it at home!
The food we enjoyed was elevated but still had that cooked with love, home cooked feel to it. I can’t wait to be back to try what else Commoner and Co has to offer!

Great food, great atmosphere, great company, can’t get better than this!
My favourite over all the hors d’oeuvres is the Brulee goat cheese tart, used to not like goat cheese cause their overwhelming flavour, but all the ingredients they put in give it a nice twist and transformed it into something subtle but unforgettable.
For the drinks, the Spiced pear gimlet is solid. A little bit sweet but definitely integrate all the flavors and bring this common cocktail into the next level.
Such a privilege to be there tonight, fun time. I will come back more :)

This event was great! Commoner & Co was welcoming and happy to have us. It was a beautiful night of meeting some great new Unilocalers, eating some good food (I am still having dreams about the goat cheese tarts and ice cream sandwich), and drinking a little vino. I am not one for lots of mixed drinks, but the pear gimlet was one I loved. Perfectly refreshing and tasty!
