Best cupcakes ever!!! Wildest flavors and combinations of flavors. Rich, moist, YUMMY!!! Thanks so much for this distinctive option for birthdays, holidays, … any day! :)

This is not a bakery. I was extremely disappointed when I went to the business based on this Unilocal posting. These are cupcakes that are merely sold inside Poca Cosa. There were only three cupcakes with a purchase limit. If you want to grab a couple for a party, you have to preorder. It is a catering company.
My rating has nothing to do with quality or taste. Im sure they are excellent. This review is guide other shoppers who are looking for cupcakes but not as a in dining option.

The BEST cupcakes I ever had! Flavors changes daily, very light and flavorful frosting, and cupcakes are very moist! I love stopping by when I’m near the downtown area just for cupcake. Yum yum!

Ordered a half dozen of the almond ganache for my boyfriend’s birthday. He’s not too big of a sweets person but he loved them! We are excited to try other flavors. Highly recommended!

Seriously, the best cupcakes I have ever had! So far, I have tried the Margarita, Almond-​Rosewater-​Cardamom, Vanilla-​Basil, Orange-​Beet, and of course the Cinnamon-​Chocolate-​Mole’ which is the best cupcake I have ever had (I get it every time). My only critique is some of the frostings are a bit sweet for me personally, BUT, everything else is perfect– the cake, the texture, presentation etc… So glad that Tucson has this gem. Definitely a must-​try if you’ve never been…

While the flavor combos are interesting and unique, I have to say I’ve had MUCH better cupcakes — vegan or otherwise. While the texture of the frosting is spot on, the cake is too dense, and the flavors are overwhelming — for example, the cardamom rose tasted like you inhaled a bottle of rosewater. I was fuming roses for half an hour. WAY too much. The cherry almond was ok, but a little cloying, and the chocolate peanut butter had a sticky slick of unadulterated peanut butter in the cake — disconcerting and gummy. The chocolate mole was fine — tasted like regular chocolate, but with a spicy kick to it.
I like the fact that they are vegan because I’m super lactose intolerant, but these aren’t awesome cupcakes, they are just meh. They are pretty and deserve props for perfect frosting (not grainy at all), but for the price and inconvenience of having to go to Poca Cosa, I’d rather get them from a grocery store or make my own.

We purchased the Mexican chocolate cinnamon cup cakes for our annual holiday party and they were a hit! The cup cakes were fresh, moist and the flavors were delicious. They are a little pricey but huge so worth the price.

I really want to love these cupcakes more than I do, but I just don’t. I’d give Cup Quequitos 3.5 stars if I could, but I can’t, so I rounded up to 4. She deserves the rounding up, because everything is so fresh and such high quality. But the flavors just don’t always do it for me, mostly involving the icing.
The cakes are always fantastically delicious. Super moist, super flavorful, and not loaded with fatty stuff. Yet they still have a rich flavor. They’re not usually overly sweet either, I would say they’re just right. I actually really love the cake portion of the cupcakes. It’s the icing that really disappoints me more often than not. The mole icings are horrible to me. Just really bad. I love spicy food, but these are spicy in a bad, uncomfortable way. It’s not even that they’re too hot, I’ll eat hotter food for dinner tonight. They’re just unpleasant and it doesn’t work for me. I’ve had the ChocoCinn Mole (which for some reason is the only recurring daily flavor, I wish it weren’t because I don’t like it) and the PB Mole, and both were horrendous. I can’t taste anything but hot, and hot isn’t a flavor, so it ruins it. My husband agrees, as do two of our friends. I actually recommended they try the ChocoCinn Mole based on word of mouth (before I tried it myself), and it was universally disliked in our group. I was pretty embarrassed for opening my mouth to suggest it.
I’ve also had a Choco Mint flavor (I don’t remember the actual name) and it was really good at first. But the mint icing got old fast, and I had to stop before I was even halfway through. I did eat all of the cake, though, because that was superb.
Between my husband and myself, we’ve tried quite a few flavors. Some favorites include the Avocado Lime/​Avocado Lemon. Everything about those cupcakes were awesome! I don’t even like avocado, but this cupcake made me a fan! Some others (that I can’t remember their names) have been very good as well.
Like I said earlier, the cupcakes are very fresh, made with fresh, quality ingredients. I love the vegan approach. Don’t worry meat-​eaters (I, too, am a meat-​eater), you won’t even notice the difference! I also love the unique flavor combinations. Even though I’m not always a fan of the icing, I still love to drop in and grab myself a cupcake just to try the different combos! All of the cupcakes are always nice to look at, too.
I definitely would recommend giving Cup Quequitos a try. Drop in to Café Poca Cosa and get yourself one to go!
Small update: watch out Unilocalers. This owner will start a FB thread questioning your review if she doesn’t agree with you. If she wanted honest feedback, she would not have mentioned the review, since reviews can sway opinions. I should change my rating based on this, because I won’t be a customer any more if I’m going to be called out for having an opinion, but I’ll let it stand.

These truly are the best cupcakes you will ever taste. The assortment of unique flavors are amazing. And, don’t let the word «vegan» scare you meat eaters off. Just imagine eating the best cupcake of your life without any cholesterol from animal products. Strawberry lemonade my absolute favorite!:)

Amazingly moist and flavorful cupcakes made with high-​quality ingredients. Inventive, unique flavors like cocoa mole, mojito, almond pistachio rose… Delightful (and super cute, too!). And, believe it or not, almost every Cup Quequito is 100% vegan. The lemon icing in particular is to die. Treat yourself to something special!

I’ve never had a better dessert than Cup Quequitos. When you taste the artistry, passion, quality, and deliciousness in one bite, you realize it is a rare thing and you want to save up all your money for cupcakes. Just walking to my car, several people stopped me to look at the cupcakes closer. Eating these cupcakes made my day so much happier!
The décor is wonderful, and most cupcakes have garnish. I even saw one cupcake with glitter. As far as the vegan part of the cupcake… Sometimes in vegan desserts, you notice that without butter, cream, and milk, the dessert can be too sugary and dense. Not the case with these cupcakes. The frosting may be the best part.
My favorite is the Oreo!

I called Cup from LA at 4:30pm DESPERATE to find a place that would deliver something (ANYTHING!) to my little sister in the dorms at U of A for her 18^th birthday the NEXT DAY (I swear I didn’t forget her bday, I just procrastinated big time). Shanali was so incredibly sweet and helpful. She put together the Chef’s box of daily special cupcakes for my sis and included a sweet card and I think even some flowers too. Needless to say, she went above and beyond what I expected getting waiting so late and just Unilocaling a random place.
Thank you, Shanali & Cup Quequitos for making my sisters 18^th birthday so special. She said everyone on her dorm floor loved the cupcakes.
I would DEFINITELY recommend this place if you’re ever in Tucson.

Literally, these are the best cupcakes my wife and I have ever had. I’m not just talking about vegan cupcakes. I mean, these are the BEST cupcakes I’ve EVER eaten (and I’ve eaten my share of cupcakes). Usually in the case with gourmet cupcakes, the cake ends up dry and crumbly. This is definitely not the case with these! They are always extremely moist. The flavors vary by the day, and there are ALWAYS new flavors being baked up! If you find yourself in Tucson, head in to Café Poca Cosa and get yourself one of these amazing cupcakes.

We live in Vegas but wanted to do something nice for our friend in Tucson. We did some Unilocal research and called several cupcake places in the Tucson area to see if they delivered. Most had lackluster Unilocal reviews or required a large minimum order or added a high delivery surcharge. We saw the rave reviews for Cup Quequitos on Unilocal and called Shanali. She was very responsive and worked with us to make sure the delivery would be on time. She even gave us a quick update when the order was delivered. She’s amazing!

So I am updating my review and please make sure to read my other. Let me just say again how much I adore the owner. Her customer service is amazing after she read my review she sent me an email that was so lovely. She said how during summer that she is going to frost the cupcakes at the event and how she learned something valuable that day! I am so impressed that I just wanted to let everyone know how great the follow up was from her. Trust me I know it was an off day but I look forward to going to her next event on the patio!

I love cupcakes. So when dining at Café Poca Cosa, I took note when the dessert plater had cupcakes. In June I learned I could order cupcakes. One sidewalk sale later and I’ve become a groupie! These cupcakes are mostly vegan. The chocolate mole is really special. I appreciate the flavors offered including mango tango and a new apple maple bacon (non vegan). Second Saturday Downtown is an offering of many choices at the patio at Café Poca Cosa. I’ll be there. Be warned these are very rich. I usually only eat half at a time… but boy is it good.
Friday August 19^th @ 830pm at the Hut on 4^th Ave, she will be there selling a variety of flavors for the Betty Rage Party. See for yourself, after a bite you’ll see what a treasure these are.

Why do you even bother to state it? Would anyone believe it?
And after a couple of bites of the richest, most filling and flavorful cupcakes _​ever_​, who would care? Each one will run you about $ 3.50. Worth every friggin’ penny.
Peeps, get out two forks, one for you and one for your cupcake-​sharing buddy because you will not be able to finish one of her cupcakes on your own. You think you can rise to the challenge by fasting all day and then heading down to Café Poca Cosa to feast on one? GOOD LUCK.

These cupcakes are like none other. I recently had the mole cupcake and as I ate it, I felt like I had traveled to a far-​away land! The spicy zip, the moist cake, and the rich, but light chocolate taste in my mouth was incredible! The baker of these cupcakes definitely thinks outside the pan. For a unique and memorable dessert, I highly recommend ordering a variety and letting your friends explore the unforgettable flavors of Cup Quequitos.
