Been going there since they opened. Honest and trustworthy work. They will give you lists of what you need done, what you should consider having done, and what you don’t need. The other great thing is if they don’t do that type of work they can tell you a good place to go to have it done. Mechanics like these are very rare these days.

HONEST. That is not a word often used about mechanics and car repair shops. But Cubbon’s holds honesty in their values. Neil and Diane will not mince words with you about what needs to be repaired, but you will NEVER feel pressure or forced to get something done just because they say you need it. They are quick, very thorough, and incredibly kind and thoughtful. While they may not be the cheapest, I feel like you get what you pay for. They often have specials and bundled coupons. And in this case, you will get quality, thorough, and HONEST service at Cubbons. My entire family uses Cubbons and will not use any other auto service. Anytime someone needs a recommendation, they are my go-​to.

I will fully admit that I don’t know as much about cars as I probably should. I can replace a tire and change my oil in a pinch, but beyond that I am at the mercy of a professional to keep my vehicle running smoothly. Because of this, whenever I move to a new city I ask locals who they go to for their vehicles’ maintenance and repairs. Now that I’m in Tucson, my local friend turned me on to Cubbon’s to get my belts replaced. Her entire family has been going here for years and they had nothing negative to say about the place.
Well, I am sold. Though there needed to be a bit more work done on the car than I was expecting (not a big surprise), I was impressed with the honesty and transparency of everyone working here. The woman working the front desk even drove me to a local eatery where I could have a cup of coffee and write while I waited. The mechanic who worked on my vehicle, Joe, took the time to explain what needed to be done, going so far as to lift up the car and show me the damage to my axle. Unlike my experiences at places like Jiffy Lube, I never felt like they were encouraging me to get work done that my vehicle didn’t need and the amount they charged was absolutely reasonable. So, if you need a good, honest mechanic in town I highly recommend Cubbon’s.
