I have had the opportunity to live and stay in many different places in my lifetime, ranging from apartments to single family houses to town-homes. College Place may not be the most lavish residence I’ve ever encountered, but it certainly beats out many of the locations where I’ve resided previously. To be fair — I have only visited a friend here for a couple days, so I can’t comment on every aspect of daily life in this community. However, what I saw was decent enough and there were some nice perks — a pool, a shuttle to and from the university/Pima, a gym, a café type venue, and outdoor leisure areas. It’s a few miles down the road from Tucson Mall, which is ideal. The only downside is that part of town isn’t new and fancy, but it is improving slowly. All in all, for not having to have your own vehicle/insurance/maintenance, for being in close proximity to restaurants and shopping, having your own kitchen, etc. it’s well worth the price. If you’re into frat parties, then move into a frat house. If you’re looking for five star resort living, don’t come to Tucson. For those who live their lives outside of their home and simply need a comfortable place to put your head at night, consider College Place.

Pretty nice for a single suite room but my window is facing a parking lot. A lot of people I run into here are foreign exchange students. Too bad I don’t know French. Rarely are there people at the pool and the lounge so there’s not really any social activity.

Pros: –functioning mail system –conveniently placed vending machines –basketball court(cant really screw that up) Cons: –broken hot tub 3⁄5 months i lived there(the 3 were in august, september and october)…they never fixed it –bar that randomly closes at 11 on friday nights or rents to frats which is always an auto fail –staff who dont listen and treat you like a child(the manager and reception are cold) –internet so slow you will never get to do anything, try waiting 20 minutes for a 3 minute youtube video… thats fun –cockroaches in the laundry room –½ the place are mexican families that take the bus to and from the UofA every day –the bbq does not work anymore, and they never fixed it –fees like $ 25/month to park in a gated area(they are on ORACLE!) –its on oracle and drachman –ridiculous fines randomly for the dumbest reasons –they charged me 25 cents per page to send a fax –regular morning wake ups to the worker working the leaf blower next to my door –0 counter space in the bullshit kitchen –chances are you will live next door to a creep of some sorts or a family of 6 –2 miles to campus, always felt unnecessary… gets really old –no one ever chills together… the place is dead, every day/every night –MAD foreign exchange students, but the ones who stay in their room and creep out all the time –the bar, eclipse has horrible food and a worse vibe I wouldn’t recommend this place, it pretty much sucked 100% of the time. Good thing I had a girlfriend or else I would have been in struggle world. I’m not bitter, I just think everyone needs to know how much college place blew. Stay Positive Tucson.
