Bancroft & Associates

Less than a week after we signed on to use this firm as our property manager; they got the home rented under a yearlong lease at the monthly amount that we were asking for. Bancroft & Associates seamlessly handled the renting out of this residence. We understand that our tenants are also happy with the way they that they have been treated by the property management company.

If the sign out front says Bancroft & Associates keep looking! This outfit is the most unprofessional rental agency I have ever seen. They fall into the category of «Slum Lords». Along with most of the other reviews, I agree, all they want is money in their pocket! Customer service/​maintenance is non-​existent! The house was dirty upon move in and the yard was full of weeds. The front and back door were in poor shape and slats were missing from the window coverings. Should have backed out then. To begin with the roof leaked, made a phone call, the monkeys they call maintenance came out and supposedly fixed it, leaked some more. Called again, came out again, still leaked. A year and a half later the owner sent their own person out who discovered somebody had stepped on the skylight while installing the A.C. unit on the roof (probably the monkeys), he fixed it. Who knows what they charged the owner for their «maintenance». The last year and half was the worst! The oven went out on the stove, they sent someone to look at it. The guy claimed it was working, but then it wasn’t. Called again, no response. Three months later they replaced the stove, after a threat to not pay rent. Should have reported them then, but didn’t know then what we know now. Then the fridge went out, lost all the food. It took two weeks to get a new fridge with no offer of compensation for the lost food or the fact we had no working fridge for two weeks! Got a letter in the mail threatening to charge us for weeds in the yard (remember the yard was full of weeds at move in). Half the electrical sockets didn’t work in the house, we just worked around that, no point in calling anybody, nobody was going to fix it anyways. Also all faucets in the house leaked, including shower, oh and the dishwasher leaked, again why call? The front door and the back door were in terrible condition, all three doors in the house leaked air, you can imagine what that did to the bills. Stuff you don’t realize until you live there. We did call on the front door since you could see a ½″ of light coming thru, they came out and stuffed a bunch of rubber underneath it. Good thing we never used that door. As with other reviews, trying to talk to the front office or get a response? Useless! We no longer occupy this house but we left it cleaner than it was. They could not provide us with a copy of move in walk thru because they never did one. But, they made sure they did a move out walk thru! Unbelievable! Can’t wait to see what they think they are going to try and bill us for. I’m sure we will be seeing them in court. If after reading all this you do decide to rent from this outfit, read your lease! There is a $ 200 late fee on the third! Make sure you do a move in walk thru and get a copy and keep it with signatures from them! Take dated pictures when you move in! Educate yourself on rental laws, you’re going to need it!

Awful, awful, awful is all I can say about my experience with these people. They never took any of our maintenance requests seriously, often waiting 2 weeks to respond at all. More than once they denied we’d submitted requests. We had very serious issues that were reported and went unchecked and unfixed. The house was dirty when we moved in and we never received keys to the outside gates. The last year of our time renting with them was absolutely miserable and stressful and I would NEVER recommend them to anyone.

Bancroft and Associates are the best! They are extremely professional and do a great job managing my Tucson home. It is rare to find such an honest company these days. After an extreme nightmare with another property management company, I found Bancroft and am so very grateful. Thank you!

If your looking for a great property management company, keep on looking. Bancroft & Associates are horrible!!! I cannot agree more with the other comments about poor communication skills. Also they charge property owners way too much for maintenance repairs. I happened to be reviewing my monthly statement and saw that they billed me $ 120 for a rekey… I quickly stopped using them after going three months with no tenants.

This rental agency treats you well until you sign that lease. Then they take their time with work orders, will loose or forget to place the order. Will send half assed repair people whose repair work last a week or so.
They talk to their customers as if we are all 20 year olds renting for the first time. I read my lease front and back yet they still talk down to me as if I’m clueless about rental laws.
I would not recommend this agency to anyone who’s actually trying to live in Tucson. Just the snow birds or the college kids. In addition their customer service skills are seriously lacking. Most of the front desk personnel are obviously abusing illegal substances.

If I could give Zero stars I would. Their lack of communication is very frustrating. Even after I called to complain and was told by owner that will change. Nothing changed. I sometimes wonder how many laws they are breaking with their lies, redirects and misleading statements. They certainly have no honor

The receptionist is highly unpleasant on the phone, and even worse in person. She’s the face of the agency, and all I get from her is rude, short and b*tchy responses. It was always a unpleasant chore to see her every month to turn in the rent.
Overall, Bancroft is a money hungry management establishment that I will never use or recommend to ANYONE in the future.

Very unorganized, keys are jumbled (even gave us keys to our neighbors on accident and laughed it off), and communication skills are non-​existent. Once lease is signed the renter is no longer a first priority when it comes to maintenance issues. Front desk staff are friendly but cannot keep up due to lack of organization. I’d look elsewhere if you want some consistency and accountability in your rental providers.

If I could give this management a half star, I would do this. Currently, I reside in a house that consists of three units that is managed by Bancroft & Associates. The last review that wrote about Bancroft & Associates, is the most bullsh** review I have ever read. They are by far NOT professional and they also lack in communication. The company tries to sugarcoat everything they will do when explaining how they will manage your property – but they do not. I moved into the house and it was an utter mess. They did not clean anything of the unit, even though they promised professional cleaning and pest control. After frantically calling for help needed to the house, they finally fulfilled my wishes after two weeks (which is a very long time when you need things to work around the house or fix). We were promised air conditioning, it did not say it was a evap-​cooler. You can only imagine how furious I was when I was moving in my things as well. Currently it is April, and now they are FINALLY turning on the evap cooler, even though it is about 90 degrees. Contacting the office is also ridiculous because the receptionist is always putting you on hold, and giving an attitude. To be honest, the entire management does not even give two sh*** about your business. If you are honestly trying to look for a reliable management company, I highly recommend you to look the other direction, and do not even use this service. This is a scam, and you will literally be wasting your money on a management company that will not provide for you or your tenant.

I highly recommend using Bancroft & Associates as a rental agency. They were very professional, communicative and fair.
