I had several issues with my garage door, and I called A1 based on the Unilocal reviews. Dave came out and presented several options to correct the situation along with the pros and cons of each. We agreed upon the best option for me, for $ 200 I got several more years out of the current door & motor — at least I hope. I’m happy with service and all the options presented.

I had new springs put in for my garage door and had it adjusted so it was better balanced. Also had my rollers replaced with the newer nylon rollers which make a big difference in how quiet the door is opening and closing. The technician that came to my house was quick and efficient and did a great job. For any future return business, I will be going back to A1 garage Door Service.

My sister had a real problem at her home. car trapped inside garage, the garage door was mangled & crooked. Google & Unilocal says that A1 is good so we call em. They sent a guy out real fast. (he was cute too! lol). Anyhow he repaired the crooked door and now it works well. Now my sister and i can go about our day as planned. it wasn’t really that expensive either, I mean, you get what you pay for, right? A1 Rules.

While in AZ, my friend’s garage door stopped opening. A friend recommended we called A1 Garage Door. They were friendly on the phone and got us scheduled right away. Bruce called ahead of time to let me know he was on his way, and when he walked in he saw the problem immediately without even operating the door. He explained the problem and how his fix would resolve it, which I appreciated. After he was done, he re-​balanced the door which now works flawlessly. We would definitely call them again.

Very professional, flexible scheduling, friendly, knowledgeable, and most importantly honest and trustworthy! (They drug test & do background screening on all employees!!) I was able to schedule an appointment the same day, and the guy they sent replaced our garage door springs, checked the alignment and the motor, and oiled the door arms. While providing very professional service, they also took the time to explain how the parts work together, and how I can maintain them properly. I would recommend them to friends and family, as well as use them again in the future if we decide to upgrade our garage door. They provided a written itemized receipt as well as an emailed copy.

While visiting my elderly parents in Arizona, their garage door broke! I called A1, they were very fast, professional, and I got service on the same day as promised (tough to find these days).The guy installed my garage door motor, and cleaned everything up before he left. He also spent time explaining the motor to me. Well done, A1! I will recommend you to all of my friends and family!

Called to get estimate on garage door panel. Salesperson knew what they were talking about so I placed an order to replace my garage door panel salesperson let me know this should be in in stock item and could be replaced in a day to three days later dirt several emails and phone calls it’s been a week at to find out that the door panel is discontinued and the salesperson stated he called one time last week and never attempted to call me again while I was incontact with corporate on emails and no reply just very disappointed with the lack of communication.
I was very impressed that owner called me personal and followed up with the issues that occurred. I’m sure the communication will be much better in the future.

I work in the Vacation Rental industry and when something goes wrong we need to have it taken care of basically yesterday. A1 Garage door service gets that. I called up on a Friday afternoon and they were out there the next morning. They did a inspection and found that more work needed to be done to the door. In this industry its important that we have everything safe and ready for our guest to enjoy the stay. Our wonderful owner approved the charge and the A1 team replaced everything that was need on that monday. Scott was wonderful to talk to and even explained everything so I could understand what was needed so I could communicate with owner on the issue. A1 Garage door service will be our go to team when we have any issues with our garage doors.

They were able to come fairly quickly, and did a good job, but recommended numerous upgrades some of which were not required. And wanted to replace cables that they wanted to charge $ 100 that cost $ 18.00 at Home depot. Also a fuel surcharge of $ 15. I had to sign a warrentee waiver for not buying the cables they reccommended I will shop somewhere else next time.

My garage door spring broke and cause damage to the sprocket that operates the chain, I called A1 at 5 and Bradley came out at 630. He gave me options on just what was broken and options if I wanted to upgrade to dual springs and bearing, and warned me of the opener itself and showed me the metal shavings. I felt like I could trust Bradley so I opted to do everything, even the optional wifi module so I could operate and monitor the garage via my phone.
Install was about an hour and half and my garage is very quite, I could tell my garage was operating from inside my living room before, now I hear nothing. He applied the $ 75 off labor and waived the service fee. I spent much more than I was expecting but it was worth it to me. Only complaint I have is my Liftmaster 8355 premium belt drive unit is that it requires a separate bridge module for my cars homelink system. I checked the website and it gave me instruction on how to do it on my 2008 Acura TL and 2010 Toyota Camry but after placing a call to Liftmaster they informed me it is NOT. Only car that worked is my new 2015 Honda Accord. I was sort of ticked off until they informed me that the unit would cost me nothing and their distribution center is in TUCSON. Yes! Something in Tucson, they put one on hold for me and I am picking it up the tomorrow (next day) with no service charge since it is pick up so I paid a whopping $ 0 for the bridge unit.
Overall A1 garage is my great but beware if you buy the new liftmaster/​chamberlain opener with smart 2.0, chances are you will need the bridge unit if your car is 2011 or older according to the manufacturer. If your in tucson it should not matter since it cost $ 0 for it, just the aggravation of having to get a separate module after just purchasing the best unit avaliable. They should have just included the unit with the system to start with.

You never know if you have a good service provider until you see how they handle a problem. Things happen and after all we are all human. My installer was having a bad day but he kept at it until he completed the job– bloody nose and all, yes bloody nose.
The next day I spoke with his supervisor who did an excellent job of listening to me and offering a fair solution.
I will call them when I have a future need

I had Dave out yesterday to troubleshoot remote controls that were not working. Long story short, had to replace the whole opener because apparently a board was going bad. The unit was probably 15 years old, and no since throwing good money after bad. He put in a new Guardian opener with a belt instead of a chain, and it’s really quiet. Hopefully it will last another 15 years!
Dave was polite and competent, everything a costumer and an employer would expect. Definitely call on him again.

A1 rescued my cars from being trapped inside the garage. Gavin called multiple times to let us know where he was and when he would be at the house. The the old garage door’s manual release was broken so we needed two people to yank it open.
He immediately took a look and determined the gears on the opener were shredded and beyond repair. Unfortunately he was out of replacement units, but got me on the schedule for the next day. There was no charge to help me get the cars out.
The new opener was installed quickly and professionally the next day and it is quiet and working great. Highly recommend.

I originally called a different company to come take a look at my garage door, and it was difficult to schedule an appointment time since they closed by 5 pm, and I have a full work week that goes all day. I had to wait over a week until I found a decent time that fit with my schedule, which left me with parking my car in the driveway for a few weeks. After finally receiving a quote, I decided to contact A1 for another quote. Impressively, I was able to have someone come out that same day, since service calls go until midnight.
I had to have my entire garage door replaced since the two top panels were cracked. The price of the new door also included a new spring and rollers. The quote I received from the other place came with a plain white door. A1 was able to have my door painted in Phoenix to match the color scheme I had in the neighborhood (you never want to upset the HOA gods), and even had the door shipped to Tucson over the weekend. I was even given a price that blew the out guys out of the water, with a 10-​year warranty!
My new garage door was installed in 1.5 hours, and I was confident that I was in good hands. I was completely satisfied with my professional and excellent service.

Steven, their Tucson repairman, is incredible! His professionalism and honesty is outstanding. If he or his son William ever show up at your home, be very grateful!
I also want to say that Josh, the dispatcher who answered the phone in the evening and then early in the morning, was excellent!
My existing torsion spring broke, among other issues — my 9 year old home wasn’t built with high quality in mind. Steve improved the design by using the proper materials: 2 springs (vs the original 1 which was undersized), thicker cables, bearing rollers (vs original plastics that were failing), and corrected the alignment of the tracks.
I recommend using A1 Garage Door Repair.
