Sunrise Urgent Care Center

I went to this place based off of the Unilocal reviews, and it also happened to be the closest urgent care to my workplace. With 4.5 stars I figured it can’t be too bad.
I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist and was the only person in the waiting room. All was good until I met with the doctor. No lie, this doctor maybe spent 1 minute total with me, and that is being generous. I came in with hives all over my body. He asked me to take my pants off so he could see the hives on my legs. I found that unprofessional, to just ask me to drop my pants in the middle of the room, no «Here’s a robe, I’ll be right back in when you’re dressed» or anything! I felt like I was rushed through (which is silly, being the only person in the waiting room), felt like the doctor had terrible bedside manner, and didn’t really ask me any questions to determine what was wrong. He also didn’t check my heart beat/​rate or lungs/​breathing which I think is important when someone is experiencing an allergic reaction like hives. One thing I can say was this please was cheap ($ 5 co-​pay with my insurance) and they were quick to call in a prescription. But I won’t return, since I didn’t really feel like I was cared for here.

I went there because it was close to work and I felt horrible. The entire medical staff was very attentive and made the process very seamless. They made sure to tell me everything that was happening the entire time, and were timely in getting me checked in and seen. I definitely would recommend going if you are in need of an urgent care facility!!!

Dr. Nwosu and the staff at Sunrise Urgent Care Center were fantastic. They were caring, attentive, and professional. My 4-​year old felt «right at home,» and was not afraid to be cared for by the doctor. When we left, he said, «mom I like those doctors!» To my surprise, the doctor followed up with me on the next day after our visit to the office by placing a call to check on my son. I was super impressed with that element of customer service, since that is a lot more than most urgent care centers would do. I would definitely recommend this center any day… any time! Thank you all for the wonderful care you provided!

Context:
I was very sick with a 102 fever and could barely move when I went in. I had chills so bad I was shaking.
Pros:
–The lady at the front desk was kind and helpful.
–I was in and out relatively quickly
Cons:
–They made me prepay for everything. At first when she ran my card I though it was a bit odd but I got up and did it. The. In the middle of the visit she said I had to come swipe my card again to pay for the tests. This was pretty straining for my condition.
–The doctor wasn’t the best imo. He spent most of the time talking about stuff I knew I didn’t have like std’s and Zika. Then told me he didn’t know what was going on and asked what I would like to be treated for. I told him what I thought it was and he gave me the medicine for that. It left me feeling very unsure about whether I was being treated properly. That’s not a good feeling to be honest. I told him I had pain around my jaw and he didn’t look at it at all. I went home and researched and it could likely be linked. I mean it might not be, but doesn’t it make sense to ask as many questions as possible?
All in all I’m not certain of anything and wasn’t led to another opinion or Doctor. I’m just researching and hoping that I get better with antibiotics.

Absolutely awesome Doctor! The staff is wonderful also! They are very friendly, caring, attentive, will actually listen to your ailments, I cannot recommend them enough! They are also very fast, when we have had to go in for being unwell, we are in and out in less than 20 minutes! Dr Nwosu is an Emory doc who used to work at the ER there and he is very thorough as well as very caring, I just love this place, it is also clean and very nicely decorated, if you need a doc, come to this urgent care office, you will never want to go anywhere else! A++++++++

Fast service. Everyone was super friendly. In and out in less than 45 minutes. Easy location with plenty of parking.
