Annie’s Alteration & Tailoring

This is my go-​to alterations shop when I’m in Atlanta.
I’m short and all the pants in the stores are too long. I take my jeans and dress pants here to shorten them. The lady has her method for letting me keep the original jeans bottoms (i.e. when the pants leg bottom comes from the store pre-​fringed).
Shopping for suit jackets and button-​up collar shirts with my body proportions is always such a hassle: the waist area is usually tight forcing me to buy bigger sizes… but then my bust area is frumpy with tons of excess fabric. The lady at Annie’s Alterations has done wonders with making my shirts fit properly. I never considered tailoring my button-​ups since I could hide them under a suit jacket, but one trip when I was having dress pants legs shortened, I was wearing a more frumpy dress shirt and she offered to pin up my shirt to show me what she could do with some minor work — I’m so glad she did! Also, after post holiday feasts, I’ve been known to have her add side «V’s» to my new button-​up shirts so they aren’t so tight in the tummy area. :)
I’m not usually a dress-​up gal, but I have been known to bring dresses here when the straps are too long or the waist is a little tight.
I’ve always been very satisfied with her work and highly suggest this shop. It’s a winner!
