This is always a go to place for my husband and I. We love the hibachi. It is kind of annoying that you have to pay extra for the hibachi fried rice, since to me that is typical, but at the same time I love that you end up getting noodles and rice! So good! We have also gotten the sushi many times, which was alway amazing!

We have ordered delivery a couple of times and it’s always delivered timely and is good quality. We order the bento boxes– it’s a little of everything– sushi, teriyaki chicken, mini egg rolls, tempura and comes with miso soup and a salad. A lot of food so if you don’t like something there is plenty else to choose from. The tempura is surprisingly good considering it has to travel. We have had disappointing delivery experiences in this area and this place is our go to for good quality and good service. Will continue to support this restaurant.

The food here is good and though a little pricey for hibachi it’s worth on special occasions. The hibachi presentation was entertaining and the food is very flavorful. Other wise it’s a great sushi option. The lunch specials are affordable and the portions are size able. I would definitely recommend.

It came fast which was good… It was CRAZY expensive for 2 dishes though. 2 habachi dishes for 50? That’s nuts! Not even at good habachi places is it that much money. But I got the food and the soup was REALLy salty… The salad dressing was like spicy mustard and watery. The dish itself was packaged nicely but tasted off kinda like it had no flavor and I was really disappointed… It gave me heartburn and my baby hasn’t stopped kicking since. I can’t get the taste of garlic out of my mouth… I do however want to try their sushi I don’t wanna rule this place out all together I’m so hopeful for next time

Nice local sushi/hibachi place, food is really good and the portions are a nice size. The delivery is also really quick. I use grub hub to order and been given 45– hour wait but it’s still always been in about 20 – 30 minutes. I’d give it 5 stars but it is a little bit pricey. I’ve been to a few other places that have the same stuff for a 3 – 4 dollars less. But if you want some good food delivered quick I recommend ordering from here.

Is there less than 1 star? Imagine McDonald’s owned a hibachi house. It would be better than this. If you like your food smothered in teriyaki sauce and slopped onto your plate like an army chef then buon appetite —- avoid at all costs. Zero ambiance, dirty and rushed.

An excellent introduction to hibachi cuisine. I’ve wanted to dine at such an establishment to celebrate the completion of a successful summer and came here on my girlfriend’s recommendation. Service was quick and pleasant. Most of our order was for hibachi but I also asked for a sweet potato roll to satisfy another craving. The plate had a soy sauce sketch of Snoopy which I thought was cute. Our chef was wonderful and put on a good show for us as he made our food. It was a little intense, so much so that I felt my heart leap, especially seeing him work so closely with fire and put his hand on it from time to time. Once settled in, food was ready in a hurry and I enjoyed my generous amounts of shrimp, chicken, beef, noodles, rice and veggies. My mom, a notorious avoider of Asian cuisine really enjoyed herself and her meal, so there’s that. Definitely a must try!

LOVE this place! Went to Kaji’s today for lunch with my husband and it was nice and quiet. Place is warm and inviting. We got the love boat for two and it was very fresh. Hubby got the steak fried rice. It was honestly the best fried rice we have EVER had! The prices are very reasonable. The fried ice cream is fantastic as well. We will definitely be making this our date night sushi place.

They need more help!!! Rushed us out because the hostess messed up on reservations… We spent a lot of money and did not want to be rushed… sorry not our fault you messed up. Friendly people who work there, but still… a night out is far and few apart. Money is money. The food is ok… not Edo’s I will not go back. I could spend 100.00 on dinner for two somewhere else and get so much more…

Great food and entertaining hibachi. My steak was perfectly cooked and was very tender. The staff was very attentive. We happened upon this place when our favorite place was overbooked. We now have a new favorite place!

So, this place was pretty good. The Hibachi was a bit pricey compared to what I’m used to in California, but relatively tasty, nonetheless. Okay, so the prices on their online menu are different from the actual prices at the restaurant. We dropped $ 85.90 for the following: –Chicken & steak hibachi($ 20.95+3.00 for fried rice): The chicken was pretty good. The steak was cooked as I liked it, but needed more flavor.(Thank goodness for ginger sauce.) The fried rice was great(with the exception of the egg shell). The noodles were bland, but they usually are everywhere I’ve been. Good veggies. Salad was good. Soup tasted like it came from powdered onion soup mix. –chicken & shrimp($ 20.95+3.00): Shrimp was really good! Everything else from above stands. Oh, except we got much less rice than the people across the table… No comment. –vegetable hibachi($ 14.95+3.00): see above. Tofu was cooked perfectly, though. –shrimp tempura($ 5.95): I’ve never seen such a small tempura appetizer. Five pieces, though? One shrimp, one broccoli, one zucchini, 1.5−2 sweet potatoes. Two sushi rolls($ 7.95): very small, and not really worth it. They were small, warm, and a bit mushy. We got the eel avocado and shrimp avocado. Drinks:Ginger ale, apple juice, green tea Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience. The staff is really great, and the hibachi chef is really nice. Kids get balloons, and everybody smiles.

I was feeling a bit wary about Kaji due to the lack of reviews. However, when I went there for a hibachi dinner with a party of six, we were all very impressed. Service was stellar; they were attentive, not pushy. Our hibachi chef Koma, was entertaining and precise; providing an enjoyable and authentic hibachi style meal. All members of our party were very happy with their meals, everything was cooked to requested preference and delicious. We were so happy with our experience in the restaurant, that we decided to try some take out sushi. Once again, we were extremely pleased. I have eaten sushi all over the world and tend to be a tough critic. But I must say that Kaji has quality sushi for very reasonable prices. This family run restaurant is a hidden gem, not to be ignored. Be sure to ask for Koma when you go for hibachi; you won’t be disappointed!

Great idea opening a hibachi place in Tuckahoe instead of the old, run of the mill pizzeria, nail salon, or dry cleaners. However, in comparison to other Hibatchi places in the area(Edo’s Portchester/Pelham, Fuji Mountain, Larchmont, Banzai, Hartsdale… etc) this restaurant does not live up to it’s competitors, besides, it’s always VERY empty. The food is pretty good, however, the service is ridiculous, and not in a good way. The servers are constantly rushing you to finish your food, and if you take a long time to pay, the servers basically tell you to hurry up, and stare you down UNTIL you pay. Overall, this place isn’t great but isn’t horrible, it just definitely needs to step up to it’s competitors.

This was our go-to place for sushi for a little while. We thought the sushi tasted fresh and the service was good. Then on our last visit, the tuna we got was an odd black color rather than bright red. The sushi chef came over and started explaining(without our saying anything) that the tuna is fresh, it’s naturally black, and that his boss actually gets mad at him for always ordering too much fresh fish. We believed him until we tasted the fish. It was old. And it was black because it was old. Given the heavy competition with the many other restaurants around that serve fresh sushi, they cannot afford to cut corners by serving old fish — especially when it’s eaten raw. The rest of the food tasted fine and we didn’t get sick that evening. But we haven’t been back since that incident because there are much better options around.

Lunch specials not that appealing. Was looking for a three roll combo but they only had 2 and only 6 roll choices. Nothing spicy. Price was good and they were smiling and polite but ignore the lunch specials to go if you like rolls. Went back a few weeks later for dinner. They had a new chef who was an older guy. He must have been experienced but nervous for he was trying to get the job(or keep it). His nerves showed as the food was very salty and his moves had errors(some drops and stuff but no stabbings). Again, everyone is very nice but I would skip this place.

Great meal with outstanding service. It has a great essence about it and the food is presented in an equally impressive manner. Food quality was great as well, we had California and Dragon rolls and it was amazing.

Giving into my recent quest to find great sushi while keeping the bank in tact, I continued down my list with Takaho. Disclaimer: This review is just for the sushi side during dinner… Takaho, in Tuckahoe, fires on all cylinders when it comes to sushi. The service was great. They continually tended to our needs while keeping us entertained. The chef behind the sushi counter catered to our requests while offering suggestions that made me feel that the meal was interactive. The sushi quality was great and presentation was very inventive. My Tuna tartare starter was spicy with the option of sweet(from the mango drizzle.) The rolls were really fresh and the flavors were clean and my tobiko sushi was technicolor and amazing.(The chef also gave us a seperate tuna tartare special to try; it visually stunned while melted in my mouth) Price, we ended spending about $ 50 each(tip included), but it was mostly due to the alcohol we ordered afterwards. I think that if we didn’t drink anything and just ordered food, it would’ve been $ 25 each. So, for an entrée and appetizer plus the free app, it definitely didn’t break my budget. I’ll definitely come here again for the sushi, but hibachi first!
