Stafford Farm & Feed

This is a lovely old fashioned store. The people who own it and work there are naturally friendly. Their chicken feed is the cheapest in the area, even lower than Bi Mart, Coastal, or Wilco or the other farm store that is nearby out there on Stafford Road. When I first went there, I had just started to put a little farm in my back yard, and they patiently listened to my questions and answered with good data. It seems obvious that they love farming and animals. I love to go out there and see their hens running and their vegetables growing. Sometimes they sell refurbished farm equipment for good prices.
I also enjoyed the old fashioned sodas they sell.

I love supporting a local family run business. Especially when the owners and staff are friendly, have a good selection of products that are reasonably priced.
You’ll find all of those things and more at this local feed store. One time they even offered to stay open a little late for us after we called in to ask their hours and realized we weren’t going to make it before they closed. It’s little things like that which really make you appreciate small companies.
If you enjoy farm fresh eggs, I can also recommend their chicken eggs. However you will need to wash them yourself if you care to have clean eggs. We used to get their eggs before our chickens started laying. Also if you have kids (Actually I probably enjoy this more than the kids do) they’ll enjoy picking out one of their retro style glass bottled sodas while checking out!
