I was trying to review KUNI Auto Center not Paragon

After my second time there, my car was still having same issues I took it in for and I ended up having to take it somewhere else for a second opinion. Finding that I had a collapsed motor mount and some other major issues. I try to figure out how or why these mechanics couldn’t find this issue when they were looking into it and I told and showed them exactly what I was experiencing. Fortunately it was under warranty so the original shop replaced it no charge. Oh and the mechanic at Paragon left his crow bar under the hood of my car sitting next to my engine… didn’t find that out until 1 week later when I was getting the oil changed! I called the shop and left a message, all Chris said when he called back was «if you could bring his tool back that’d be great as he probably needs that.» No apology! I won’t be going back there.

Thanks to Unilocal I chose Chris @ Paragon and so glad I did. Had a car issue and some scheduling issues and Chris was very accommodating. After bringing in my car, he then called me not only about the issue, but had done a full exam of my vehicle. At first I was like, oh boy — here we go, he’s gonna tell me I need tons of work done on my car and I admit I was put off, but as the call continued, I realized he was just going through the issues my 20 year old car. He told me what items he recommended fixing and what items (most of them) he just wanted me to be aware of — even gave me a scale (1 – 10) of what should be fixed. In addition, I told him I was able to do some of the work myself and he was not only cool with that but he also said I could do the work myself and even call him if I ran into trouble. I believe him to be knowledgeable, ethical and fair. Chris at Paragon is now my number one and only guy!

Although I live in Portland, my car had issues in Tualatin and I simply chose Paragon because of the proximity to where my car broke down. Turns out, the place has great reviews so I was more comfortable after seeing everyone else’s good experiences. Chris was straight forward about what was wrong and what my options were. I completely trusted their assessment and he even offered for me to come in to see the issues with the parts that had failed. I would go back to them and recommend them to others.

I came here to get my oil change after I received a free coupon in the mail. The owners are very friendly and professional. Love the office dog too! I would highly recommend them!

I originally came to Paragon as a completely new client. I had recently bought a BMW 328i, and naturally a light came on that I had no idea how to fix. I called Kuni, and the dealership I bought it from. Both places wanted to charge me for the inspection as well as the part and labor, needless to say I didn’t get a quote under 500 $.
I decided to do some internet research myself and stumbled across Chris at Paragon. Immediately when I called I felt relieved! He let me know why the light was on most likely, and how much the part was and what to expect as far as drop of time and pickup time. The price, and service was great, I will be returning shortly to have some more things worked on and I have to say, it feels nice to have piece of mind when your expensive vehicle is sitting in the hands of someone else. It feels even nicer to not be looked at as a dollar sign just cause of the car I am driving. Thanks everyone over at team Paragon!

I recently purchased a 1991 Volkswagen Cabriolet. I was calling around to decide where to service my car. I called Paragon and got no answer. I was calling the next shop when Chris returned my call. That showed good character on his part. I decided to go with his shop and I am glad I did! Chris was a delight to work with. I will definitely recommend Paragon to others! :)

I had my car inspection done and have been continually been coming back to have them fix the problem areas. These guys know their stuff. Right off the bat I could tell they were experienced doing and knew what they were talking about. What a refreshing feeling coming from a female! Mechanics can sometimes take advantage of a female due to their lack of knowledge on cars, not in this case rest assured I do recommend Paragon automotive

I recently moved to Tigard and recieved a free oil change coupon in the mail from Paragon Automotive Repair. When I went in for my appointment, I was greeted by the owner, Chris, he was very nice and attentive. After the oil change, I was given a plan of everything my car needed. It was laid out by appointment and price, very organized and easy to read.
I felt very comfortable and everything was explained to me by Lauren (and I actually understood it). Lauren was so informative and she is very knowledgable about automotives. It was also great to have someone sweet to chat with while I waiting for my services to be completed. I had a second appointment for new brakes and to clean the fuel injection service, again… wonderful service. If you are looking for a family owned, honest, reliable automotive repair company, choose Paragon. They will take great care of you. I will never go anywhere else.

Paragon contacted me regarding my experience. I really appreciated the gesture of making sure I understood everything and the willingness to reach out. They were very courteous and said they should have explained things better when the inspection was done. They mentioned all the fluids scored a 6 on a 1 – 10 scale, 10 being the worst. In other words, the fluids are probably just past 50% of life, which is right where they should be considering when the next round of flushes is due. I bumped them up 2 stars for the thoughtfulness and courtesy of following up with me. I can’t give any more stars then that though, since the main premise of my review was the cost of all the maintenance, 70% of which was labor. The Brake Clean, item 4800 on the invoice apparently is a chemical cleaner, not a service. I am sure if you need actual work done, not just routine maintenance they will do a fine job. I am sure they do a fine job with routine maintenance as well, it is just way over priced. If you plan to do a lot of routine flushes and maintenance at once, call around, most places will offer some sort of discount for the amount of work being done. I was able to get $ 800 of that bill quoted for $ 420 elsewhere.

I was experiencing an intermittant problem with oil pressure right after being in a serious auto wreck. After the car was ostensibly fixed (by someone else) this oil pressure problem came to light. It took a lot of effort, some different repairs in an attempt to finally solve. Chris and his shop kept me in the loop through the whole frustrating experience. Chris was always able to explain each issue that came up, explain what it would take to fix, gave me written estimates, photographs of problems, and were never less than professional and helpful. I was in a difficult situation on costs due to being unemployed and Chris prepare a list of upkeep/​repairs to do as I could. I am very glad to have found a mechanic I feel I can trust!

I came to Paragon because I received a «welcome to the community» letter with a free oil change. A year later, we bring our car here for oil changes and repairs. With an older car, it is important to me to work with someone who will honestly tell me what is needed. Chris and his staff are wonderful, offer useful promotions, and give great value.

Like most people, I am immediately suspicious of most mechanics, but I trust Chris. He is the owner of Paragon Automotive (and seems to do most of the actual work as well) and he is probably one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. He is just a very friendly, pleasant person.
I first took my car to Chris when I bought it used 5 years ago. My Dad recommended him and he gave my car a thorough review when I bought it. Now 5 years later, I finally needed some significant service done (my Dad is able to do the regular maintenance and upkeep on it). I wasn’t sure what exactly was going on with my car, but something wasn’t right. I trusted Chris enough to take it in to him and say find what might be wrong because I knew he wouldn’t just come up with random stuff that didn’t actually need repairs. I dropped my car off the night before my appointment and by mid-​morning I got a phone call. Chris explained exactly what was going on with my car in detail and gave me a price breakdown for each piece of work that needed to be done. The work was done by later that afternoon and the price turned out as quoted.
I would definitely recommend Paragon to anybody. His location now is also pretty convenient as it is right off of Tualatin-​Sherwood Road.

Mechanics always tell you they’re fast and cheap. Well, usually they’re not and you leave, as a female, feeling like an idiot.
What a refreshing change of pace to actually talk to the owner and have my car in-​and-​out within 30 minutes. Chris went over the upcoming repairs my car will need and didn’t pressure me but gave me a quick time table. As a female, it’s sometimes hard to find a mechanic who is honest and forthright — let alone friendly. Judging from his work (both professionally and in the community), it’s hard not to recommend his services.
It seems people forget their neighborhood mechanic and opt for the impersonal and, sometimes, unprofessional services of a dealership. I’ve got nothing against dealerships, but when you can get more efficient and less expensive service from someone in your community, my opinion is to always go local.

I was referred to Paragon by 3 different people. They all said the work would be done to my satisfaction. I had a hose replaced & advice for future work. It was convenient & close. The owner, Chris was helpful in his suggestions & the follow up was very good. I dropped my car off & then picked it up later so only had phone conversations, but that worked very well for my work situation. I will go back. It is nice to have an honest mechanic close by!
