This review has been edited to eliminate the details of my experience and focus on what Dr. Gorin is doing to remedy the situation. I find his efforts commendable:
1. He’s providing a full refund.
2. He called me immediately at home within one hour of reading my review.
3. He took no effort to defend himself even though he was very incredulous.
4. His personal email to me reflects his sincerity in wanting to make me happy.
5. He still wants to see me to correct the issue at no additional cost.
I’ve eliminated the details of my poor experience in good faith that he will do as he says. It’s not my intention to affect Dr. Gorin or his practice in a negative way. It is my intention to get what I pay for and I think Dr. Gorin is striving to provide that now.
Everyone is fallible. We all have bad days. Thank you Dr. Gorin for making it right.

I have had Botox a MicroPeel and Coolsculpting done at Dr. Gorin’s office and can’t say enough about his staff. Everyone is very friendly and outgoing and they always make you feel welcome. I have never had to wait past my appointment time. I had never had Botox before and Kate took the time to discuss what I wanted out of the procedure and how to best achieve those results. She explained everything to me beforehand so I knew what to expect. My results were amazing! I couldn’t be happier and cannot wait to return for more. I had both a MicroPeel and Coolsculpting done by Courtney. Again, very friendly and outgoing and explained everything before we started both procedures. I will definitely return for other procedures and cannot recommend his office enough.

After interviewing multiple surgeons in the Portland area, Dr. Gorin and I decided to embark on an abdominoplasty together. I had experienced a difficult twin pregnancy and subsequent cesarean and wanted to recreate my body pre-​pregnancy, or as close as we could get. I was nervous about the results, yes, but I more nervous about my recovery as I had two beautiful children who expected my safe return.
Dr. Gorin’s anesthetic approach sealed the deal for me. I was happily surprised to learn he planned to avoid using general anesthesia and I would simply be sedated. I felt he did everything possible to protect me and mitigate risks associated with surgical procedures.
5 months later, I could not be happier with my results. I look better than I did pre-​pregnancy and I can’t wait for the summer.

I wrote an earlier review about an experience I had with a staff member at Dr, Gorin’s office. To follow up, Dr. Gorin has gone to extremes to correct and understand the allegations I made in reference to his cosmetic specialist Dr. Elizabeth ND. Although Dr. Elizabeth made no personal attempts at an apology, as a result, I believe she is not holding herself accountable. On the other hand, Dr Gorin has been extremely interested in resolving the problem himself.
I accused him of not responding when in fact he sent two email to me which I did not receive, (spam box).
I have a great deal of respect for his attempts at correcting a problem that he did personally not have anything to do with.
As the owner of his business, Dr. Gorin made restitution for the mistakes of another. That’s a professional.

Extremely great experience at his office. I went with my wife so she could get some med spa treatment, and it was incredible how accommodating the staff was. from being able to make an appointment and having them work with us to find a best time, to being greeted as soon as we walked into the office. The front waiting room was very professional looking, and has modern furniture. It is not the old typical doctors office of old Highlights and Good House Keeping magazines. There was almost no wait. Dr. Gorin came out to meet us himself, and was very helpful in explaining the procedure as well a answering any questions we had, and even some we wouldn’t have thought of.
As we walked into the back of the office I was dropped off in perhaps the best part of the office, the man cave. I am surprised that no one has mentioned this already. It is a nice small room that I was invited to wait in as my wife had some things done and as she met with the nurse to go over the last few points, and some things to remember after we were done. The entire staff was very knowledgeable and was direct forwards with what we needed to do, without being pushy or rude.
The «cave» has a very comfortable chair, as well as a TV there and wi-​fi. They provided drinks and snacks, and it was nice to be able to sit down and have some privacy than just having to wait out in the front of the office, or sit in the back in the recovery area. The time there was comfortable and seemed to pass very fast.
Once the procedures were done, Dr. Gorin himself was very helpful and called us the next day to see if everything was alright. He gave us a direct number and email that we can use anytime we have questions.
Without a doubt one of the better clinics in the Portland area. It is a very nice place, the wife couldn’t be happier with her results, and I appreciate the small things they did to take care of not just the patient but also the husband.

Dr Gorin has shown exemplary customer service from the very beginning. At my first consultation (free by the way) he was very attentive to all my questions no matter how dumb they were. I had done some initial research on breast augmentation and have some friends that have gone through surgery, but it’s always good to get answers from the doctor who will actually be doing the surgery. I left his office feeling pretty good about my decision but he was the first one to say «go to a couple of other consultations to make sure you make the right decision for you». Which I thought was very generous of him. In the end his staff and how he handled that first appt was what made me choose his office. The fact that he has his own surgery suite and great financial options were a bonus. There is one thing about him that I thought was awesome and that is how accessible he is to his patients. I emailed him multiple times about questions and worries and within 24 hours or less he had responded!!! Once I had made the decision to go forward everything went very smoothly from there on. It has now been six months and I love my new breasts. I thank Dr Gorin and his staff for being so nice and doing a great job with my surgery. Highly recommend… for breast augmentation at least. I can’t speak for any other procedures at this time

I HEART MY NEW BOOBIES!!! Getting a boob job was on my wish list for years and years. When I was finally ready to get serious about this I started researching and asking around. I found Doctor Gorin online and rates as the top plastic surgeon in 2013. I am not a phone call lover so I shot an email to the office. Within FIVE minutes, I received a reply from Dr. Gorin HIMSELF, answering all my questions and answering questions I didn’t know I had. He was attentive and extremely responsive and had one of his staff call me the next day to schedule and appointment. After my initial consult I was more than assured that this was not only the doctor for me, but the facility. His staff was all very knowledgeable and friendly and were always concerned with how I was doing and actually knew personal details about me. I wasn’t just another patient, or another number.
During the entire year and a half that I was saving money, Dr. Gorin and Team were always responsive and receptive to any questions or needs I had for pre-​operative care, financing options, friendly advice and would get back to any of my questions almost immediately.
Flash forward to October of 2014. I spent the better part of a year saving up for my procedure, talking ad nauseum to anyone that would listen to me and found that MANY MANY of my friends had gone to Dr. Gorin and I had complete boob envy. I am now 3 months post-​op and can genuinely say that this was the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. I just got my pre and post op photos emailed to me by Dr. Gorin HIMSELF (15 minutes after my check up) and am totally amazed by the great job he did. I HEART MY NEW BOOBIES! And if I ever decide I want to go back for any other cosmetic treatments (e.g. botox, fat freezing, etc.) I Will Definitely be returning to Dr. Gorin and his friendly staff.

I highly recommend him! He definitely stays committed to his patients and our needs. In 2013 I had a breast lift and augmentation and for some reason my right one bottomed. Dr Gorin got me in when my schedule was available and repaired it at no cost. I still have a difference with the two breasts but he’s been supportive and we will be scheduling another surgery so that he can get me the look I want. It’s mind blowing that he is doing additional surgeries for me at no cost! He is committed to providing satisfying results and nothing shows me that more than the willingness he has to give me my «perfect» boobs. I trust his judgment to do what would look right on my body and am giving him the complete go ahead to make any decision on this next revision.
Also my mother used to work in a plastic surgery recovery department and he was recommended by her! She could share horror stories about other doctors and never could say anything but positive comments on Dr Gordin!
2015– he is maintaining my corrective treatment (so far I’m 1 week out) results are amazing and I’m so glad I choose him! It’s been a long process but I don’t think he could have prevented how my body chose to react (lots of scar tissue growth and bottoming out). I am so thankful for him!!!

I could not be happier with the results of my procedure, and Dr Gorin made the entire process, from initial interview thru post-​surgery follow ups, as smooth as possible. He was approachable and honest, and one thing that really stood out for me was the lack of «upselling». Often you hear of plastic surgeons pushing their clients to have procedures they might not have initially wanted, but Dr Gorin did nothing of the sort. In fact, during my consultation, he only gave me the info I asked about initially, when clearly I could stand to benefit from many other procedures! But when asked, he gave me his honest opinion and had the office staff break out the costs so that I could see what each procedure would be, and setting it up so I wasn’t obligated to do more than I wanted. There was zero hard sell, and I really appreciated that. All the pre– and post-​op appointments are included in the costs.
Day of the procedure, his team was ready and waiting for me and except for the minor issue with the anesthesiologist not getting the needle into my vein the first time, it all was smooth sailing. I woke up and they gave my husband all the post-​op details as I was groggy and I still don’t remember it too clearly, coming off the drugs. I healed right on schedule and went for my 3 month post-​op visit, where Dr Gorin declared the surgery a success. I could not agree more! Love my new shape, and wonder why I didn’t do it sooner.
Dr. Gorin and his team made it all very easy and comfortable. He’s available by email and truly does answer them, extremely promptly! I would recommend Dr Gorin without hesitation!

Dr. Gorin attempted a revision rhinoplasty for me. His predecessor Dr. Hales did the original surgery and in the practice transition, Dr. Gorin did the revision. Within three years, my nose started to «knuckle» and this will require another surgery at some point.
It is my understanding that Dr. Gorin does not perform rhinoplasty anymore and has not done so for several years. I believe this speaks volumes for his character. Any professional can take your money and convince you that he is an «expert» and will get specific results. Apparently that is not Dr. Gorin’s way. Dr. Gorin now only specializes in very specific areas which are his forte. Rather than take someone’s money promising to fix anything that walks in the door, Dr. Gorin only practices that at which he hasmastery.
I have always found Dr. Gorin to be pleasant, professional and generous.

I researched a lot of surgeons before choosing Dr Gorin. I had planned on having my consult with him then seeing many more doctors. After seeing Dr Gorin I knew right away he was the one. He is very knowledgable, personable, and down to earth. He talks to you as a normal person and didn’t use lingo you wouldn’t understand. The office staff is great and they make you feel special as does he. I had a breast augmentation from him in November and the results are amazing. I emailed a couple times and he responded with an answer so fast. My results are even better then I was expecting. The before and after appointments always went really fast. I traveled from Salem and was early to the appointments. They got me in right away. I would recommend Dr. Gorin to everyone. If I ever have anymore surgeries I will definitely go back to him.

I first went to Dr. Aaron Gorin’s Office in June of 2012. I had been very self conscience about my breasts for as long as I can remember, and finally decided to see what options were out there. I was referred by a close friend to Dr. Gorin, and called his office to set up a consult. I set up my appointment for the following week.
Upon arriving at Dr. Gorin’s office, I was immediately greeted and taken to a private room. Very shortly thereafter, Dr. Gorin came in and introduced himself. I explained my concerns to him, and what I results I aspired to have. Dr. Gorin was extremely professional, and at the same time pleasant and personable, and listened thoughtfully as I explained myself. Upon examining me, Dr. Gorin acknowledged my concerns with my present appearance, without making me feel bad about it. He then explained what he believed my best options would be for my desired outcome. I then tried on various sizers to get a feel for what size I was looking for. He also asked if I had seen any other surgeons for consults, and when I said no, he gave me the names of two collegues to see, and explained that he of course hoped I chose to come to his practice to have my augmentation, but he also suggested I get multiple opinions. I thought that was a very commendible stance. At the conclusion of the consult, I was introduced to a woman who handled explaining the financing option (I don’t remember her name as she was on maternity leave when I came back). She was very informative and answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. I felt I left his office far more comfortable than I’d arrived, and I was confident I’d found my surgeon.
Though I was sure I was going to return, I took Dr. Gorin’s advice and went on a few consults at other offices (including the 2 he referred me to) and found that they were, for a number of reasons, not who I would want performing my surgery.
I had to organize my finances and determine what way to finance my surgery, so I ended up finally being able to schedule my procedure in June of 2013. I got a Lollipop lift and 304 CC Silicone implants.
Everything from scheduling the surgery to my pre-​op appointment and day of surgery was an absolute breeze, and as easy as I could envision it being. Monica, the receptionist, is so helpful and very nice, as well as the surgical team when I met them the day of. They were patient with my nervous questions!
As for my results… I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER! I cannot believe how amazing they look, I never imagined they could look so good, especially after living with what I had before. My healing was a total breeze.
I will also say that during my entire interaction with Dr. Gorin and his wonderful staff, I never waited to hear back when I had a question. Dr. Gorin is available by email pretty much always, and I never waited more than a half hour to get a response from him. The 1 – 2 times I called with a question instead of emailed, I got a call back within the hour.
I realize this is a long winded review, but I was so happy with my experience that I want to make sure everyone knows how superior this practice is, not only from a surgical standpoint but also with a customer oriented staff that couldn’t be better! If I choose to have anything else done, I will absolutely return to Dr. Gorin, and I will refer anyone I know to him.

Dr. Gorin performed my breast augmentation several months ago. I was so impressed with Dr. Gorin from the beginning. He fit me in for my consultation before the office was open because early morning worked best for my husband and I. He was so nice, professional, confident and clearly knowledgeable. We were also very impressed with his staff. Everyone was so friendly, professional and personable. I had my surgery several weeks later and it went very well. Dr. Gorin treated me with care and had great follow up. He called us that night to make sure we were doing well. Throughout the following week, I had several post-​op questions. I emailed him with my questions and he quickly emailed me back each time. Four weeks post-​op I developed a hematoma. It was late in the evening so I contacted Dr. Gorin’s after hours number not knowing what was happening at the time. I was in immense pain and felt something was seriously wrong. He contacted me back within 10 minutes. After assessing the situation over the phone, Dr. Gorin decided we should meet at a nearby hospital. A hematoma 4 weeks post-​op and not trauma related is highly unlikely. Afterward, we were told the chances of this happening are less than 1%. Despite this, Dr. Gorin played it safe and met us in the ER to assess the situation in person. He knew right away it was indeed a hematoma and performed surgery right away to repair it. This situation was very scary for me and my family. Initially, the ER hospital staff were slow to react and were somewhat dismissive of what was happening. Dr. Gorin walked in and took control of the situation right away. It was absolutely amazing to have Dr. Gorin be there for me. I feel the situation would have gone so differently if he hadn’t been there. This hematoma was in no way Dr. Gorin’s fault. He could have let another doctor deal with this but he didn’t. I can’t thank him enough for all he’s done and the care he’s provided.
If you’re reading this review you’re contemplating having a surgical procedure performed. You’re probably reading great reviews from patients who had great results with no complications. Most people don’t think they will every have to deal with a serious complication. They think about their surgeon’s ability to handle their initial procedure but maybe not how they would handle the unexpected. When something does go wrong. Even though this is not likely, it’s important to take into consideration. My husband and I never in a million years thought this would happen to us. In a very bad situation, Dr. Gorin handled it all perfectly. I am now 2 months post-​op from my 2^nd surgery and I’m very happy with my results.
