Trumbull Mobil Service Center

All I can say is WOW. Took my mazda there today. The guys there were so nice and polite. They fixed my car in under 40min cause they knew I was on my lunch break and had to get to work by a certain time and it only cost me $ 20! Hands down the best customer service experience I’ve ever had at an auto service center. This is going to be my auto shop from now on.

Dropped off for an oil change /​tire rotation (on an American car, nothing fancy). $ 100 (before tax). It would have been cheaper going to a dealership.
After 4 hours, I called and got the standard «I was just about to call you.»
Too expensive for a no-​frills service.

I’ve never been disappointed with the service at this place, Ed is the best!!! I work nearby and came at the suggestion of my coworkers, who also service their cars here, when I had car issues. They spent hours checking out my car, and came to the conclusion I had a leak. I was expecting the usual ridiculous car repair bills, but was pleasantly surprised. For just the price of an oil change: they found the leak, replaced a part, and checked out the rest of the car. There was no labor charge, no parts charge, nothing!
When I went to pick up my car Ed asked where I normally get my oil changed, and I admitted I usually go to Splash (for the free car wash with oil change & free vacuums). He told me that the leak I had was caused by whoever had been previously changing my oil. He also informed me that my filters (which splash has trying to convince me to change several times for a couple hundred dollars) were fine, and there’s no reason to upgrade to premium oil. I’ve had several similarly impressive experiences since, and now I won’t take my car anywhere else.
It’s so nice to have someone knowledgeable and trustworthy working on my car. Even when I’ve had to have more expensive services done, he breaks down the bill for me and explains what I’m paying for (and occasionally knocks off some labor charges). The regular oil change is $ 50 I believe, but there’s frequently a special for $ 25. I’ve discovered saving the $ 10 dollars on the car wash and vacuums is nowhere near worth the value of having someone trustworthy completely check out my car. It’s also awesome to know I’m not going to be pressured into paying for services I don’t need.

Had my car serviced here for a dead battery and alternator last year. The mechanics are super friendly and helpful. I asked them to check out my breaks and I appreciate that they were honest about how much life they had left. It’s comforting to know this place is so close to home if I have car trouble again.

Me and my friends were traveling from Brooklyn back to Boston last week. We ended up breaking down in the middle of CT, thought it was the wheel bearing. Was towed to Trumbull Mobile instead of the four hour tow to Boston. Not only was the tow guy great but as soon as we got to the shop we were told everything would be fine and they would check out my car and give us a call and to hang at the near by Starbucks. No more than thirty minutes later we received a call from Ed, one of the mechanics, saying we were good to go! Turns out it was a piece of plastic that had snapped and was hitting my tire causing a whole bunch of noise. They secured the loose piece ensuring I would make it back to Boston safely. And I did! A huge thanks to the guys a Trumbull Mobile!

On a cross-​country drive, I ended up with a power steering fluid leak, and was not sure how bad it was. I found these guys through this web-​site, and dropped by on Tuesday morning. They were super busy, but took the time to do an initial diagnosis — turned out the leak was too big to continue driving with. Despite the fact that they were booked, they were able to fit the work in over the next day. They also did a top to tail inspection and made recommendations on other fixes I would need in the near future. Ed was fantastic, and guided me with great patience through the entire process. I was extremely lucky to break down in their neck of the woods! Very professional shop.

Not just mechanics, but very nice guys. My brakes were sounding funny, and I have a newborn and was worried. Called them in the morning — they were flexible to look at it that day — After looking they found my brakes were fine. They went out of their way to explain things to me, and in the end NEVER charged ME!!! Very kind and nice guys, would HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone — its worth the drive from anywhere :)

I have lived in Trumbull for 25 years and have purchased gas from this Mobil for most of that time. I was always hesitant to bring my car in for service to any gas station — just never did that. One day, I had a flat and had to bring it to the closest station. Instead of selling me new tires, they fixed the flat (for just a few dollars).
That got my attention. Next time I needed work, I brought my car in. I have always been satisfied. Recently however, they went above and beyond and saved me $ 3,000! My 170k pilot had every engine light on and for something big and serious like this, thought I had to go to the dealer. They evaluated the whole thing and said I needed a new engine. I figured before I did that, I should have the local guys take a look too. They took the car and looked at it in detail. Instead of charging me $ 150 for a diagnosis (as did the dealership), they did that for free. I decided to buy their recommendation ($ 480) and my car is operating like new! No new engine — just a fixed car.
These guys are fair and honest and smart! It’s pretty rare that I write a review — but these guys deserve it. Thank you!

Driving my husband’s car alone between MA and NJ when I came up with a puncture in a tire. TG I was able to limp off the parkway at Trumbull and found these guys. They were very professional, reasurring and were able to plug the tire and get me back on the road within 30 mins. Thank you!

Trumbull Mobil has been servicing our 4 family cars for the past 5+ years. They have done a great job, saved us $ over dealership repairs, always find time to answer questions & do even small repairs, don’t do unnecessary repairs. They have done a great job for us.
