Sunny Daes of Trumbull

Good selection of ice cream flavors and toppings. We have been to this particular shop numerous times and I have to say, the staff could not be less hospitable. The first issue was with one of the toppings, it was old and stale. I went to the register, showed them the issue and the person at the counter told me I could have something else but I’d have to pay for it. Pay for a replacement, really? Terrible customer service, they just don’t care.
We went there, against my better judgement again. The guy at the counter basically turned his back on us behind the counter. We waited, and waited, and waited… finally I asked if he was ready for us. He turned and stated, «well. I’m waiting for you!» Apparently good customer service is represented by turning your back on your customers and staring at the floor.
There are plenty of places to spend your money on treats, this should not be one of them. Go somewhere else, they clearly don’t care…

Sunny Daes has the best ice cream. Lots of flavors to choose from, ice cream sandwiches and great soft serve. Read a previous review about this location being dirty but it isn’t. I can imagine that if it’s busy in the summer and kids spill sprinkles and drop ice cream all over the floor then maybe, but that happens everywhere. The building is just a little older and the Trumbull Center landlord doesn’t seem to improve anything.

I have no idea why people are complaining about the cleanliness of this place, it isn’t the ritz Carlton, everything behind the counter looks fine. Relax. Soft serve is great.

I wouldn’t go so far to say that this place was dirty, but it definitely wasn’t the cleanest of places. I attribute that to the fact that the place is old and in an old building. You can see by my pics that the place could do with some updating of it’s signs and menus to spruce the place up. But, I’m not here to lick the floors, rather some ice cream!
My family and I went in for some ice cream today after a fun day out at the park. We each ordered two scoops of various flavours, I opted for the peppermint stick and the moose tracks in a chocolate and nut dipped cone. As far as the ice cream is concerned, it was a hit all around! I think we spent about $ 20 but there were four adults and three kids. Not too shabby.
I don’t live locally, but my brother and sister in law do and frequent here. Enjoy the ice cream, never mind the décor!

The place was so disgustingly dirty, I was afraid to let my kids eat the ice cream. Not one inch of the floor was clean. The seats were spotted with old ice cream. The filth was so extensive I refused to eat inside. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK. YUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCKKKKKK!!!
