History
Established in 2007.
Sundree’s was born in 2007. Our goal was to establish a locally owned business, which would offer the community the opportunity to shop for that special gift without having to drive 15 miles to the closest retail shops. It was important to us to provide distinctive products coupled with a price range that would appeal to everyone. We wanted to offer locally handcrafted products as well as global fair trade and green whenever possible. Our original space was a small 900 sq. ft storefront on Main street. After 4 years we outgrew this space, and moved to another storefront on the same block that is double the size, allowing us to enlarge our clothing lines and provide a more open and relaxing shopping experience.
Along with Sundree’s, there are a number of other new and renewed business’s that have recently opened, revitalizing this charming 19th century village.
Meet the Business Owner
Sherry S.
Business Owner
When I was a child I always loved the idea of owning a general store. That old fashioned corner store that sold everything from hardware to penny candy. Years later after raising a family and pursuing other interests, I had the opportunity to run a retail garden shop with my husband. This garden shop quickly evolved into a gift shop. A few years later my sister, a very talented designer and artisan, approached me with the idea of opening a gift shop in the village where she lived, the same village where I had also lived and met my husband.
We had wanted to do something together for a long time, an ideal retail space had just become available, and hence Sundrees was born. Our modern day version of a general store!
